Hadn't played here in many years and we decided to give it a shot as many courses are in the middle of aeration. The course is nothing special but it is fun. It was in better than decent shape. Tee boxes pretty good and most all level. Fairways had good coverage. The greens here are huge! They rolled pretty good. I kind of like the way the course traverses between the homes and if you can concentrate through barking dogs you'll be fine. Not expensive. Friendly staff. Give it a shot if you're out that way.

Played Fri Apr 26th. Had a 7:04 tee time. Check in quick and friendly and got out on time. We followed a 4 some who IMHO was slow. I know POP of 414 is OK but we waited on "every" shot. Course was very wet first few holes, but dried out nicely. Only a few tee boxes were so hard we had issues getting the tee in, they were all level. Fairways were very good, got some roll and had good lies all day. Was in 1 bunker and sand was ok. Greens are huge here and rolled nicely, consistent from green to green. This is a very tight course and you need to be straight here,. I like it here and wished our group played here more but most of them live in OC so it is a drive.

Had some misgivings booking here due to some negative reviews, but as our "go to" courses did not have any early tee times, booked a 6 am start. First of all, green fee of $36 is a fair price but not a screaming discount. Had not played here in forever, but found the experience flawed, but satisfactory overall. Fairways were green for the most part, almost soggy with water in spots though. Greens were generally slow to average in speed, but rolled smoothly enough and accepted most iron and pitch shots well. All in all, its in a lot better shape than neighboring Indian Hills for a few bucks more. One off putting detail was that the staff neglected to put out the tee markers, so we were pretty much on our own as to where we would peg the ball. Didn't get into any bunkers and was glad of that as they either looked muddy or just full of firm dirt, just like most IE courses in that price range anymore. Course is short but deceptively hard, with lots of trees lining the fairways. Also, it seems all the fairways are uphill. How is this even possible? Staff at all levels tends to be friendly and the nice ladies at the grill cook up a good quick breakfast. Wont be a regular, but I'd come back.

Intended to play another course nearby that didn't have a driving range, so stopped in at Jurupa Hills to get in a preround warmup. Had no intention of playing here due to my displeasure regarding the issue I brought up in my last community post. I was charged $13 for a large bucket of range balls! That's more than I pay anywhere, and goosecreekgc, oak valley gc, Arrowhead cc and the morongo tukwet canyon courses are in my regular rotation and have far better practice areas! Strike number two!
Playing partner and I decided we didn't feel like getting back into vehicles to drive to the intended course, so we went to pro shop to pay and head out onto course. Paid $39 for a post 10am start, which wasn't terrible, really.
Played the blues as this course is not very long, but in my opinion plays more difficult than the 69.1 rating. Tee boxes were hit and miss, some fairly decent while others made it difficult to find a spot to tee, not because of divot damage, but due to lumpiness, being unlevel and general neglect it seems. Side note, it seems rather uncool to position a tee box with multiple sprinkler heads (why two?) dead center.
Fairways were pretty decent, considering expectations based on green fee. Mostly lush with good coverage, a few dry hardpan spots per hole, but again not terrible. A couple holes had white paint around gur areas, but then it seemed as if they stopped being concerned with it and didn't bother to do the same with equally damaged areas, lol.
Rough was just bad and a crap shoot. Mostly dry and altogether neglected. Not too much of a problem in that, due to the many, many, many trees here, if you stray off the fairway, your next shot will more often than not be a punch shot, low runner back to fairway or towards the green. On one particular hole, in between cart path and green there were wood chips that had been dumped and spread in the grass, making for a very akward lie and difficult chip shot. I thought wood chips were for waste areas, not 15 feet off the green?
Bunkers? I'll keep this one short. Just wet dirt, until about 10:30. Anytime after that it will be dry and hard. They were groomed in a way to appear nice though, lol.
Greens were, as they always have been, the recipient of the most care on this course. Smooth and rolling out further than you'd expect, especially when putting with the grain towards the river bottom. In my opinion, quite difficult to read correctly.
My playing partner and I were very perplexed with the conditions of the grass just off the greens on many places. The mower just butchered many of those areas. Deep cuts into thick rough, with no rhyme or reason, sometimes down to the roots. Very weird and caused a couple lies that were nearly impossible to play from. In all my years playing, even at some pretty bad courses, never seen anything like that. It was as if intentional damage was done. Disgruntled employee, perhaps?
In finality, not a terrible place to play, but not a place that you leave with a feeling of satisfaction. I went into the round thinking maybe I would rethink my opinion regarding the walking rate issue. I believe it was approximately hole number 7 when both my partner and I had an epiphany and decided this would be the final time we play this course. The emotion that I feel moreso than any, is one of disappointment. Okay place to play for some, maybe not so much for others, is my recommendation, or lack thereof, depending on your expectations.

I guess they were members... lol. We knew some of the greens had been punched and they were not good, but we were very curious and confused about the inconsistent speed of the others, some fast some slow, tee boxes and fairways were good, bunkers hit and miss, rough was long and wet and a little difficult, overall we like it here, just none of us played well and I think it was a combination of seeing the 5 some go out in front of us and then us waiting on them and the greens were not up to par

I hadn't been here for a year or so but figured it was time and was glad I went out today. Bunkers were hit and miss but the greens were nice, smooth, and quite quick with subtle little breaks. Rough was winter rough, some thick, some non existent. The fairways were hard but if you hit down and through the ball, the ball will act like it should and you get a nice spinning shot and the ball travels like it should.

I played here yesterday on President's Day. I saw the review 7.2, I thought outstanding! I was pretty disappointed by the review rating after I played the course, played 36, the re-play rate was good ($15). It did not meet the 7.2 rating, that I saw. My review goes as , the tee boxes where level but has a lot of divots and bare spots on most of the holes. The fairways are firm and fast, and with a lot of bare spots. I funny how quite a number of holes have the course lay out favorable to bad shots, that turn out great. The are several hole where the course funnels to the middle of the fairway, since the rough is cut down so low, the ball just rolls back into the fairway. I did get some awesome long drives, because of the extra firm fairways, but to get a club on the ball is a different result. Your club head will bounce, when hitting down on your approach shots. The course does have a lot of angulation, which keeps it challenging. The bunkers where concrete hard, but not many throughout the course. The greens are the best asset. The are firm and fast. The putts will roll smooth and true. I know it sounds over critical, but after seeing the review rating, I was hope for better conditions. I will play here again, but please don't over rate this course, if the conditions don't match.

Played 1/28 (very windy!) - teed off within 5 minutes of scheduled start. Nice little grass driving range and the chipping/putting greens are in very good shape. Course is not too challenging, some interesting fairways that are essentially large ditches that can funnel your ball to the middle, or give you an above or below feet approach shot. Some of the tee boxes were in poor shape, same as fairways. Closer to the green things got better and the greens themselves were quite good. Booked online at their special noon rate of $28 and it included cart fee. Would make the drive out again to play.

Played Fri Jan 19th at 730, good breakfast, got out on time. POP was 351. Played the blues and they were all the way back on the tee boxes. Was very wet this morning so not much roll out on the fairways. Tee boxes were good shape and flat, fairway nice and green, bunkers hit and miss, the one I was in had good sand, the one right next to it my partner was in was dirt, greens very soft and extremely slow, I played here last week with my wife and could not adjust to the speed, but this week I was ready for them and adjusted better than my partners did. I really like Jurupa and think it is a little under rated with some of the narrow fairways and the number of trees the course has. Had a good time.
