Played Jurupa Hills Friday 1/15 with a 10:15 slot. The pro shop and the Marshall scrambled, and found me another walk-on single(Fred) at the last minute, because the original 3 some refused to play in those high winds. By hole#3, I invite the twosome of young guns(Carlos & Ryan) already on our tail, to join us, and they accepted. We all played the white tees, which was smarter when you're having to scramble about the course in high winds. I read the Sierra Lakes review by chevelle, we were about 15 miles from him, but he clearly had worse winds.
Regardless, the course was in surprisingly good shape for Janurary. I was expecting to see a lot downed limbs, pinecones and other blowdown strewn about, but there wasn't. The greens crews were on top of things. No course conditions hindered our game that day. From tee to green, all elements were acceptable to have a good round.
Service was good in the pro shop and the diner/snack bar. All practice greens and the all grass range were open. The drink cart came by on each 9. Foam in cups, no rakes, and divot mix bottles were on the carts. 4:15 POP. Speaking of carts, the pro shop said thier new fleet of carts will arrive next week. We had 4 club headwinds, but it actually made for good golf fun and comradarie amongst strangers. I'll be back. Cheers,

Played Fri Jan 8th at 838. Check in fast and friendly. Driving range and putting greens open. It was nice teeing off a little later and be in warmer weather. The course is playing very well. When you putted on the practice greens, down hill putts were quick and the course was the same. Grens rolled true, I am just struggling putting right now. Some bare spots in a few holes, holes 12 and 16 are down hill tee shots and the ball was really running. The cart we had needed to be scrapped, but I still like this place and will be back soon. POP was 413, IMHO a little slow.

Following up on chevelle's recent review, course was in better condition than expected. Greens rolled fairly well, with a few exceptions. Fairways had decent coverage as well. Bunkers had adequate sand, which was fairly well maintained. A few of the tee boxes were not level, but not serious.

Staff was friendly as usual and accommodating. Easy check in with no issues. Don't play here all that often, but always enjoyed this course. Nice change of pace.

Played Fri dec 4th at 745, cheers to jurupa for getting our group in, originally scheduled to play eagle glen but golf now fumbled the reservation so we called Tuesday and jurupa got us in fri. Check in fast, range and putting green open, people eating breakfast outside. Putting green was very quick on down hill putts and this carried thru to the course. We played the whites, tee boxes good, fairways good and green with the exception of a few holes, was in 2 bunkers and had nice sand, a little wet but still playable. Greens were real nice, rolled true but as previously stated very quick down hill. I guess we were following the mens club who were in NO hurry because we waited on every hole, POP was 435, not real good. I alwasy like playing here.

Needed a central playing spot to meet a buddy from Beaumont area and scheduled a tee time at JHCC for Saturday 11.21 at 12:45. We went out on time joined by a single to form a threesome. I had never seen/played JHCC before and the only info I had on it was what I gleaned from GK reviews. Actually playing it, I was very pleasantly surprised, but with some stipulations, so first the conditions. I found the teeing grounds to be better than average: consistently level with good size tee boxes, and grass coverage that was more than adequate, if mixed. I was quite content with them all day. With what I call wintery conditions, the fairways were generally tight with reasonable-to-decent playability and a lot of rollout. There were a fair amount of dried out hardpan areas in the mix, many marked as GUR, and at least one extreme case. The par-5 15th was a tight valley of a dogleg left. The stretch leading up the the bend was decent fairway, but once you hit the bend it was bowling alley of hard ground for a good stretch of the way to the green. The center of the fairway was marked GUR, but the immediate areas of relief were no better. So in the course of the round were you going to have a couple of shots with testy conditions. I have a shallow swing but good luck if you area heavy divot taker. The rough was generally playable, it was the trees that would make the recovery tricky. I don't recall being in a bunker all day so I can't comment. The green surrounds tended to have good but tight coverage that was consistent with the fairways, so you needed a to have some control of the strike in your short game. The greens were very good. They were definitely quick, firm, and pretty clean with some subtle breaks — a nice challenge. While one could be reasonably critical of the conditions in spots, I mostly didn't have a lot of issue with them. Maybe I am just enough of a golf slut that I take the challenge of a course as I find it. The course has a lot of contour that I find visually interesting and fun to play. Reminded me bit of Knollwood and Roosevelt. After a few holes I was pleased with my choice. You don't get a view of many holes until you get to the tee box so there is a sense of the course revealing itself as you go along vs. a back and forth parkland style course. Walking for $27 on a weekend seemed like a great deal to me. The pace was consistent and a bit over 4 hours. Our timing was just about perfect and we finished with enough light to spare. It is hilly, so it is not necessarily a walking course for some, but I always try to walk, was up for it, and enjoyed the workout. For me the course is too remote to play except if I happen to be in the area or have a special reason to make the trip as I did on the day. But I definitely enjoyed myself and at a time of year when the course had a little edge of severity to it. So my endorsement comes with a caution to calibrate your expectations and you'll have a good time. If it was convenient I would do it again. With the softening of the conditions that would come at other times of the year, I can envision giving an unreserved recommendation. I'll keep an eye out on the reports down the line.

Played Tues Sept 22nd at 650, easy fast and friendly check in, man they were busy, apparently a mens club and we got out just in front of them, I was putting on the practice green and thought man this is rolling nice, POP was good at 352, followed a 4 some with 3 guys hitting from white and 1 hitting from gold, on hole#8 the guy from the gold hit his driver and we watched as it hit short, rolled onto the green and into the hole, that is the 1st hole in one i saw, then on hole 14 I hit a shot right at the flag, saw it bounce and landed 4" from the cup and it backed up I said dang I have to go back to those cheap balls so I get some forward roll, LOL anyway course was in good shape and i thought the greens rolled nice. When we got to hole 9 they were punching that practice green that I thought was perfect, they only did 1/2 of it. We did notice 3 greens on the course had been punched, so not sure what their schedule is, they must have 6 plus tables outside ahd many were eating after the round and even some for breakfast

I really like this course as it has a few different holes, and very large trees, you need to be straight or use a 3w or iron on some holes. tee boxes were level, but really hard to get tee in ground. Fairways were not bad but had a few spots that were not good, was in 1 green side trap and sand was wet but about 3 or 4 inches deep, greens were very soft with huge ball makes to repair, they were a little soft and therefore slow, on 16 the cup was full of water, i hope to come back soon. IMHO this course plays more difficult than it is rated

Pleased to find absolutely immaculate practice greens. Amazing.
On course.....many fairways were just fantastic on front....some a bit browned. Straightforward holes lacking a lot of character but a nice walk nonetheless. On course greens were nice with medium speed unlike the quick practice greens. Traps properly maintained despite the covid plague. Wanna mix up your game.....it's a Riverside gem still going strong!

First time playing this course yesterday. Country Club name is deceiving, as it more like a Muni course. Not a country club feel as clothing requirement is very laxed, saw golfers dressed in T-Shirts.

Green fees should be more like $30's not $40's. Lots of mature trees surrounding the fairways, so if you land in the trees not an easy out. Some quirky holes with power lines crossing the fairways. One in are group hit the lines. Also hole #9 has a power pole blocking the green. Sprinklers were left on, so players had to wait for sprinklers to cycle before hitting balls.

Greens had mini aeration marks. Greens were slow due to aeration and slightly bumpy. Hitting exactly to the greens is a must as short shots bounced back due to kikuya grass surrounding greens. Fairways were decent no bare spots. Some fairways were narrow. finishing Hole #18 was a par 3, only 2nd course I've played with a Par 3 finish.
