Mid morning round in about 4.5 hours. The place is so spread out even if you're going at a decent pace that is about the time it will take to complete a round. The weather started out cloudy and windy with a threat of rain but at the turn the sun emerged and the wind died and it was hot and muggy. The staff is always very helpful and friendly inside and out. The practice facilities are excellent and a joy to use if you arrive some time ahead of your starting time. They have new robotic ball pickers on the range which I was told were 40K each. Evidently though they are very slow and miss many of the balls. The carts are holding up well with fairly accurate GPS and speakers. The tee boxes were in perfect shape with a broken tee here and there but great. The rough was thick but it was dry and easy enough to find your ball. Hitting from the rough if you had a good lies wouldn't cost you any yardage but if the ball was sitting down it was another story. The traps are always in perfect condition from the practice area to the fairways and greens. I did not find a trap today but used the practice traps which were a little damp. The greens are almost perfect with a few ball marks here and there but few. The greens appeared to have more break than they actually had today. Putts held their line well and a good speed but slower than in past rounds. The greens are so large that three putting is always an issue. There are many long drives between hole and numerous blind shots and forced carries that really test your game. I always love to play here and highly recommend that if you want a challenge to pay the price. I lived within a couple of blocks of the casino and course years before it was built and still remember hiking through what is now the Journey course to the top of the hill. Great views still.
