The Babe, always a track that keep you on your toes. Played the day after rain in a tournament. The greens where 'lumpy', sand was in poor shape, and the fairways where extremely soggy. Would I go back, Maybe.

Definitly no Country Club here. But with that said, Upland Hills is a track that is narrow, but fair. Going low is no problem here, just need to be accurate off the tee.

Played in the CGA Amateur qualifier today. Had a practice round on Saturday. What can I say. This course is a very fair test of golf. The best course in So Cal, PERIOD. When it opens to the public, go play it. It is a great course. But, play from the tees that suit you best, you will enjoy yourself a lot more. I cannot wait to get back there again!!!!

Changed up my Saturday and play Moorpark CC instead of Rustic canyon. The course is great shape, and the greens have healed NICELY from the punch they did 3 weeks ago.

Played Monday morning, out as a single, played alone, played in 2 hours, 50 minutes. While the Balboa course is only a Par 70, you must still have your A game with you. Narrow fairways, Drives that you must shape, generally a good course. It's a muni though, meaning, the conditions are not that great.

Played my usual Saturday morning round as a single, grouped up with some great players, on a perfect day, no wind, a little fog, PERFECT condition. I love this course. Besides #7 (which the fairway was washed away during the last rain, now is played as a par 3) the course was is Very Good condition, the rough was actually lush, and it was just in great shape. Also a great place to play.

Headed out on a Sunday morning as a single, and was able to secure a time at 12:30. Actually went out about 12:20. Absolutely some of the best views and scenery around! That’s where the fun stopped. 6 HOURS later (actually about 6hrs 10 mins), we completed the 18th in the dusk. Pace of play was, dare I say it, SLOW. 6 groups piled up at the 10th tee, and it never cleared up for the entire 18. The course is a great layout, but not for the timid or beginner golfer.

Played early Morning and FROZE for the first couple of whole (32 degrees). Actually couldn't believe they people out, due to the fact that the Greens where still frosted over (fairway grass cracked under you shoes). Overall though, a great course. Don't let the yardage fool you, there is a premium on shot making here. Great course!

Unbelievable conditions. Course was an absolute pleasure to play.

Played in a corperate tournement there on Weds, Oct 23. Most of the fairways where in good condition, but certainly over watered. Very sloppy on several holes. Hole #10 has had some damage to the fairway, of which they have over seeded to compensate to repair the damage. Otherwise, pace of play was good, greens where in great shape, still one of my favorite courses.

Went out as a single early morning, got out in the 5 group. Perfect morning, great players, and an Excellent course.

Played Tuesday morning, in the rabbit group. Conditions of the greens are outstanding for a Muni course, but a little of the slow side. Pace of play was great, at about 3 hours (but of course, we where the first group out, only got stuck behind some back niners on 17 and 18)
