Played today, as I was in the area and had read the posting by Weber of $40 anniversary deal. Got right out (customer service in the shop is excellent). Played through 8 holes in about 1:45 and then we hit a wall? Asked the marshal what was causing the backup? "busy" and drove off (time for a new marshal IMO what a putz). Almost 1 hour to play 9/10/11/12 and never a marshal in site. So upon arriving at # 13 (adjacent to # 17) we see no one in the fairway of 16 nor on # 17? So much for busy? Moral of my post? If you are taking advantage of this special? PLAY EARLY. I found the tee boxes, greens and traps to be like what Weber stated. 2 holes were CPO. But I did not find the fairways to my liking, as he stated. Personally I found the them to be thin and not providing many good lies? So we agree to disagree in that area. I would say that customer service from the outside personnel and marshal, could stand improvement (guess Mondays staff was not on Tuesday). I understand the special will go through April, so perhaps I might try it again, in several weeks? But I will surely play early.

Taking advantage of the 40th anniversary special for $40 on the Babe. Secured the first time off at 6:00am, but did not have to hit until 6:15 because there were not a lot of people there. Staff was great as were all the attendants.

I was very impressed with the overall condition of the course given all the rain/cold were have experienced over the past month. Greens rolled very well, were receptive and if you found yourself above the cup, very quick. While there were a few holes which were cart path only, that was appropriate for those holes, so generally the fairways were very nice. No wet spots I could find. Only in one bunker and it was well raked with plenty of sand. Tee boxes and rough both about what you might expect in February.

I had not played here for over 5 years. I had never been a fan of the "babe", always preferred the "Ike", but I really enjoyed the course today. Much prettier than I remembered, and while I still prefer the Ike, would not hesitate to return soon

Played the Babe 1/26 at 6:45am from the blue tees. We were lucky there was minimal wind on the front which disappeared completely after a few holes. The greens are the one highlight right now because the rest of the course isn't great. Tee boxes were mostly nice, a few weren't level. Fairways are completely hit or miss because there is a ton of long clumpy grass in many fairways trying to grow thru the bermuda. The fairways are the lowlight of the course right now. I was in one green side bunker which had nice sand, while my playing partners were in several others bunkers and moved stones away from their lies. This was only the second time I played the Babe, and it reminded me how much more I like the Ike.

Played the Babe Friday in a friendly Guest Day tourney, $85 includes balls, golf, and buffet ... good deal. So, how about course conditions, you ask? Well, not good. With no overseed in fairways you have the original Hybrid Bermuda which is thin and bare, mixed with other unknown grasses ... looks like a poorly run muni ... YIKES! This is an experiment the greenskeeper hopes will allow the Bermuda to come in full next Spring and not be overwhelmed by the winter Rye. Time will tell, but for now we played it LC&P. Otherwise, the course is in decent shape: greens are the highlight rolling quick and true. Rough has good cover with thin areas in the shade. Some bunkers are rocky and thin, I was in a few, and some have very good sand ... hit or miss there. We will see what happens in the Spring ... for now the Babe will be a tough sell unlike the Ike which is in great winter shape due to the overseed. Carts in fairways are okay on the Ike, CPO on the Babe which should change soon.

Played the Babe in the SCNGA tournament on 9/30. Early 7:00 am tee time and it was a bit cool and was looking forward to playing. Many of the holes are tight and long. Keeping it in the center is always good but having to hit a long iron or hybrid into the green on some of the holes is always a challenge. The course is not it very good shape. Some of the fairways are something like I have never seen here before. A lot of bad lies, thin grass and some weeds. Really surprised to see it this way. In addition, the fairways were very wet resulting in cart path only on some holes. Tee boxes were punched so really under repair. The rough was thick and was difficult to hit out of being damp. Bunkers were damp also but still in pretty good shape. The greens were great but were also damp. Holding all shots but they rolled great. Not real fast but true. I walked away a little disappointed about the conditions because I have never seen imperfections here but I feel conditions will improve. Still, not so good conditions here are better than good conditions elsewhere so I am fully expecting course conditions to return the way I always knew it.

Babe is under going major fairway and green side maintenance. Played this morning and 3 holes had fairways covered with soft clay plugs from aeration punching and another 3 holes had freshly punched aprons covered with soft clay plugs. I understand that maintenance is necessary to keep courses in top condition, but not to disclose major work at the time of reservation and at check in is not right. We use Greenskeeper to help us avoid courses during maintenance and recovery periods and really appreciate the service this site provides. Industry Hills' practice of not disclosing major maintenance is irresponsible and ruins the experience. A discounted rate on a future round does not fix a bad experience and wasted day.

Played today on the Mega Monday special. POP was right on 4 hours, but did not seem that way, it seemed shorter? Course is in great condition. Absolutely no issues with the course. Tee boxes fine; sand traps good; fairways were excellent all round; rough was deep and penal; greens just wonderful. Customer service was excellent at all levels. IMO, $60 for prime time on a Monday, is a great deal for these courses.

IH Men's Club on Sunday, 1/7, on the Babe. PoP around 5 hrs. The last two reviews were posted last October prior to overseed (bad timing) so I thought I'd bring it up to date as the course is green and nice to play on right now ... the Mon/Tue rains will make this a wet and soggy mess so it could be CPO for a couple days until things dry out. The fairway grass is mostly full but can be thin in shady areas, same with the rough which can be long and challenging. Narrow and a bear of a course if you're not straight off the tee. Greens were great: true and semi-quick. GS & FW bunkers have nice sand with a few rocks (okay to remove) but can be thin at the base so be careful. Always enjoy the challenge the Babe offers ... easy to score pars if in the fairway or doubles if you're in the rough behind the trees. Still running the mega-Monday deal. Cheaper then the Ike. Recommended.

Played with my club on Sunday Oct 29, 2017. $85.00 for a Sunday tee time, let me just say it isnt worth that price. When conditions are similar to a course like Whispering Lakes, it is a let down. Tee boxes were not level on most tee boxes with bare spots. Fairways, I didnt hit a lot of them but when I did was I rewarded ? No I wasnt, either laying in a soaking wet patch of grass or dirt, lumpy grass sitting in a partial divot. Rough was normal, thin with dirt patches, greens were good but slow, many pitch marks not repaired due to lazy inconsiderate golfers. Bunkers had enough sand to get the ball out cleanly. Beautiful facility that I have enjoyed for many years but the course is not up to par anymore, and this has been a problem for a long time. Very sad
