Played the North course last year and the south is very similar.
lots of elevation change lots of desert for errant shots. Course is very spread out so don't even think about walking. Greens were smooth and medium fast, hard to read. we booked on line and played for $55 on a mon morning in a shade over 4 hrs. If you want to play 36 this is a great place to do it.

Played 1/20. Frost delay till about 845. Staff was really laid back and unorganized with respect to frost delay. They announced at 8 that the range was open and never told us or announced on the range when we were all supposed to tee off or if there would be a shotgun. Kind of weird, but we eventually just went to the box and starter kid said go ahead (looking really confused).

Course in great shape. Couple of wet spots and couple of patched spots in fairways, but it was so worth 2hr drive definitely. Tee boxes were good and level. Traps were a little inconsistent but most on the harder side. Greens were excellent, a good 10 on stimp. Played the North course a year ago exactly and it was also in great condition as well. This is a great January course. Pace of play was 4 hrs.

Will be back again for sure.

Pace of play was unacceptable. They book too many tournaments at this course. Green speeds were inconsistant. Lightning fast for the first 6 or 7 holes, then good the rest of the course. A fine layout that starts difficult and becomes easier. Sand traps are thin with maybe a 1/2 inch sand before you hit hard pan.

Played on 4/22. Front nine calm, back in a gale. Good track, not as nice as North but worth the play. Solme fairways had some severe drainage issues. Other than that course is a great play.

Course is in terrific shape!! Greens are pure, only complaint would be that they are quite slow. Do not understand why they do not cut them shorter this time of year as it is not very hot yet?? Other than that you cannot go wrong here. Beautiful course!

I had the chance to play Terra Lago (south) on Feb. 24. It was in great shape and the staff was friendly. The only disappointing thing was the huge contrast from the front nine to the back nine. The front nine was very challenging an the back nine is going through a phase where they are getting ready to build houses. Overall experience there was very good, greens and fairways were excellent. Can't wait to get back there to play the North course.

All around good course. Greens are in good shape. Worth the money.

HuH?? I got your freaking trumpet!!! IPEEFREELY indeed. If you read my report I said that the golf course is great. I also said and others have said that the greens are a mess. NOW, for $35 its OK,, but to pay full dumb a** in season rates for these greens as they are today is not tooo smart. I am sure they will repair them and all will be good. . I played the next day at Encena with 3 local folks that laughed when I told them I played Terra Lago the day before. They havent played there this summer,, Why you ask, duh!! bad greens. Even for $35 in the summer. I saw no crowds when I played, I played with two other out of towners. You must be a part owner or just a crappy putter. Fungus on my feet, oh yeah,, thats it. You all do what you want, but you might read other reports on this track before you go,, ignore mine and his and make up your own mind.

in response to kendall from walnut. it's a poor trumpet player that blames his instrument. and any fungus that you saw on the greens maybe got there from your feet. The course is great I play there all the time.

I guess I am the only one that plays here,Wed 7AM, played the South and North back 9's. Have to tell ya dont play here untill someone says the greens are repaired, fixed, smoothed, grown in,fungus gone,or any of the above. This is a terrific course, but,, I say ,,But,, the greens are not smooth, they are bad. AND,, in a few days they will be charging full BOAT $$ for this. I played Thursday with a couple of local Palm Springs fellas and EVERYONE in the P.S. knows this is whats up. BAD GREENS.
I had a good time as the rest of the course is in TERRIFIC shape,, but ya couldnt putt your ball as it bounced off line. I would and am going to wait till someone says the greens are good before I return. Very Sad.

course is in great shape. they are doing great improvements to get ready for the season. greens are going though aerification(that time of the year) so they are bumpy you expect this in the summer in the desert. what do you expect when you play a 140 dollar golf course in season for 39 summer rate. If you want great greens then play in the winter and fork out 140. All in all great experience. you get what you pay for an I am happy paying 39 it's a deal.

6:30 Am tee time, cloud cover, never got over 85 degrees, they shut down the front 9's and ya play the north and south back 9's . $29 all summer,, great deal, this place is fun, in terrific shape. But it can be hot. Weird, Indio seems to be about 5-10 degrees cooler than P.S. area, Good time, We will return and hope for cool day.

Played 5/18 early AM,finished before heat set in. First time here, played the South, with the exception of a couple of fairways that they are experiencing salt problems this place is a gem. We do Primm a few times a year,in the heat we will do Fantasy Springs Hotel and Terra Lago,(Legends Skins} as ya save a few $$ and about 3 hours drive time. I love Primm,, but these two Terra Lago courses are just as good.$39 senior rate, in the summer, and maybe with room and golf cheaper than that. Call golf shop for stay & play,Hotel seems confused at the concept. The staff was over the top in customer service,as said below course with a couple of fairway exceptions, which they are working on,is a treat. Fun,sometimes difficult, sometimes lulling you to sleep on what looks to be an easy hole. We will return. Getting hot, get early tee time. do it soon as they are starting to build houses around the place and the beautiful mountain vistas will be gone.

In response to "bluefortydeuce" the issue with the fairways (which 2 fairways on the south course and 3 on the north which are a problem) is salt. There is a current problem wih salts pulling up from 6 feet below the surface. Currently an extensive dranage system is in the works to correct this problem. Opening after this years overseeding in late 2006 they will be completed and back to 100%.

I do not understand what is wrong with the fairways here! There is a lot of severe damage. Looks like drainage issues. Some areas of the fairways are completely dirt.

Other than the fairways the course is in excellent condition. Green are perfect! Tee boxes are great. Only gripe is those d%mn fairways...Terrible!!
