Played Sat 7/19. Customer service got our foursome out more than 1 1/2 hours late. Wouldn't give us the posted twilight rate even though at the time they check us in were already into twilight rate. Played a little over 4 hours later and just finish 12 holes -- extremely slow. Their empty apologies are not good enough for us to recommend anyone to ever play here.

Course is in pretty good shape. Greens look great. Fairways are decent as always. Sand was kinda wet which is never good. Pace was pretty good. The par 5s on the course allow you opportunities to shoot well. Many par 4s on the North course. The par 3s are manageable. Play here if you live close.

I am a big fan of Los Serranos normally but today it was just off. The bunkers were wet and hard which made it hard to hit out of the sand. The fairways were very disappointing, they neeeed water. the greens were okay. They held shots but rolled fairly slow. This course has a cool layout and is an easy course to shoot well if you can keep it in the fairway. I've seen this course in better shape than it is. The pace was also unusually slow today also.

Greens were in good/very good condition with speed that was consistent. Sunday playing time took 5.5 hours though. I enjoy playing North and look foreward to breaking bogey.

played today behind a junior turney. 6 hour round. greens were good and fast. teebox was decent and so was the fairways and sand traps. there were some holes with big "ground under repair" areas on the front nine. we usually do 4 1/2 hur round here on sunday afternoons so today was out of the ordinary for us.

The fairways are pretty thin. The greens held shots well and ran pretty true. The sand was good quality and playable. My biggest complaint was the wait behind all the groups. course looks pretty good.

Kendall was right on about the course conditions. Played two weeks after aeration and the greens were coming back nicely. I really like playing the North course, the pro shop staff is the best in the area, the internet tee time deals are great.

BUT...the marshalls do nothing about slow play, one admitted to me last time I was there that he's only there for the free golf! Sorry, what should be a 4 1/2 hour round is often 5 1/2 plus, there are alot of things i'd rather do in that extra hour, than watch someone in the group in front of me take 10 practice swings or look at a putt for 5 minutes, from every possible angle and then miss it!

$38 senior rate, another raise last week, evidently they havent looked at the long list of fine courses near them. Greens are very ,very good, and thats about it. Slope is overrated. Bunkers are mud, fairways are OK, tees are also OK. We wont be back for awhile. They wont miss us, its a busy track. Staff is always very professional to us. Empire Lakes for $2 more, cant even think about that.. no brainer. Oh, one more thing, plugging fairways, good for the course, not so good for playing, no one said we would see that. Too bad, we really like the place.

today i played los serranos for the first time. this is a fun course with many opportunities to make good shots. i dont know if the wind is always that intense but it was pretty windy out there today. the greens were in great shape and the fairways were good the whole way. i look forward to playing here again soon.

Played 3/2, fairway condition no good. many bare spots. Par 4 holes short but some fairways are narrow. Green condition good. Everything rolls to East side. Pace very slow - almost 6 hrs.

Played Tues 2/26 7AM tee time. Not many players on the north course, I guess everyone wanted to play the South course. The course was in very good condition. The wind was blowing on some holes which made it tough to judge distance to play. Tee boxes were fairly level, not many divots. The fairways were lush and well groomed, some were in the process of being cut as we played, the maintenance crew stopped mowing as we played through or finished our putting. Nice touch. The rough was only around 2-3 inches but hard to get out of, some spots were old divots that had not grown in, as well as some bald spots.

The greens were lush and fast, some on the back nine were a little bumpy but played well, more than I can say for my game. The bunkers were OK, some were packed due to rain and/or sprinklers. We finished in just over 4 hours. I would rate it at 7.

Overall course condition seemed very good. There are some bare spots in the fairways. The greens seemed to be on the slow side of the scale. The Pace of play was good.

This course is one of the worst courses I have ever played. Too many bare spots on fairways, tees and greens. If you are good enough to hit into every sand trap, then you might find this course a bit enjoyable, since the sand traps were ok. I dont recommend this course to anyone, unless they do some major repairs on the course. Not worth the expensive green fees. I usually praise courses, but this I cannot.

WOW, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY... I HAVE BEEN PLAYING HERE FOR 35 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER SEEN IT IN SUCH BAD SHAPE.
LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING. FIRST OF ALL THEY BUILT DEEP POT BUNKERS ON 6 SOUTH AND 16 NORTH THAT ARE FALLING APART AND PLACED SIGNS NEXT TO THEM WITH NICKNAMES FOR EACH ONE. GO'S GOOD WITH THE CORNY TENNIS COURTS ON EACH OF THE STARTING HOLES NORTH AND SOUTH . ANYWAY, BACK TO THE COURSE. YOU START OFF WITH DEAD PUTTING GREENS AND WORK YOUR WAY OUT TO TURFLESS TEES, FAIRWAYS AND DISEASE INFESTED GREENS..... AND ALL THIS FOR 75 DOLLARS, WHAT A DEAL? WHAT A JOKE! IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THIS COURSE ? JUST DRIVE BY THE PARKING LOT AND SEE THE MINI VERSION THEY ARE BUILDING OF IT.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME..... PLAY CLAREMONT OR FAIRMONT PARK 1ST.

Well the sand traps were good, but that was it. I have playing this course for four years. This is by far the worst i have ever seen it. and i must give the customer a poor mark, everone was freindly yet while wait to tee off i watched a marshal write on the info board that the course was in excelent condition. Not one tee box was acceptable, the greens were bad and fairways terriable. enough said do not play this course. unless you get a discount, then stay home anyway. but the layout is great. and the staff was freindly.

Have not played this course in over 2 years, it was in terrible shape back then and it is in terrible shape now. what is going on with the management here. For years this course was always in good to very good condition. What a shame. Played on Sep. 30, paid too much. Many greens have dirt patches #6 and #7, many bare dirt areas in the fairways and rough. What a joke, and this was a mild summer. A little water, fertilizer and TLC would go a long way. I don't think the supt. ever sees the golf course. I grew up playing this course and have seen a lot of changes, hope they turn this place around soon. On the positive side, proshop staff and bar staff were very friendly. Last and certainly least, the range landing area is DEAD. Sorry for the rant but this was just too much.

Los Serranos continues to keep their courses in pretty good shape despite the huge play and severe heat. The greens were terrific, few ball marks and good speed. Smoooooth which is fun. As previous posts advise the edges are a little rough,, some fairways are GUR, no problem, move to a better spot. 4 hr round just right, not fast,, not slow. Good Day.

I guess the searing temperatures of the past week frightened everyone away, because we teed off 30 min prior to our tee time and played as 5 some (walking) in just under 4 hours. Had to wait on the last three holes otherwise it would have been quicker. The course was in nice shape, a little rough around the edges, but overall in good condition. While the "South" is the better of the two courses, there are elements about the "North" which makes it fun to play, not just because it's shorter and easier, just different. For whatever reason, I seem to shoot closer to par on this than the south despite the 6 par 5's on the south. Too many hard par 4's I guess?

Played 07.27.07 ($41 - included cart) - Course was in decent shape, nice and green throughout. Tee boxes were nice and green. Had some patchy spots on some fairways but most were marked GUR. Bunkers were okay, balls came out with ease. Greens were pretty consistent, good speed, well maintained. Club house staff was very nice & helpful. Would definitely play here again.

played 7-29. More employees than most courses - some aloof , some helpful. clubhouse & starter not exactly mr. personality but marshall, cart boys , bev cart guy & bar staff good. Course was in pretty good condition for middle of summer. Greens a little slow but didn't hold as well as you would think. Rolled pretty smooth although most had more break than I read. Overall an interesting course and closer to being worth the green fees than I had anticipated.

The course was in good shape, greens are fast and true. 4.5 hours is the norm even with a tee time at 1:50pm on a friday. Rough is 2in and the sandbox is allways a delight. 18th green is being seeded.

This place is looking up, way up!. Lush and green, some fairways a little brown, but they are working on it. Greens were just right, cant say the place is GREAT yet but its very , very good right now. Good pace of play, staff as usual perfect. price is on the edge a bit on the high side, not as crowded as it used to be,...... we will be back, just not as soon as before.

Played on Sat. 07/07/07. Course was in decent shape, especially the greens, bunkers, and tee boxes. The fairways had some dry spots, but overall were good. I landed one short in front of the green about ten yards and my ball was in a small dirt area that was cracked like a dry desert lake. However, this was an exception as most fairways were decent.

Played LS North for the first time and I like the challenge this course provides. They had a SCGA tourney in front of us so pin placements were tough all day, especially #3, diabolocal! Location of bunkers makes you think twice on some holes what iron to choose. Greens were in good shape while the fairways were average.

Mixed review, greens were real nice looking, green, lush, held shots, but the poeana is creeping in, not sure what will happen when it dies? They putt well, med speed, take the breaks, no complaints, just,, what happens when it gets hot and they die? Fairways, ahhh, more problems, some were almost perfect. really! Others were baked cracked dirt, weeds and wet areas, I mean swamp wet ,,,obvious problems, we played GUR all day, no biggie, just beware. Bunkers were very nice, new sand in some, tough, but thats what they are for. Staff seems to have changed. Still first rate as is the clubhouse staff. We had a 7:30 tee time today and we cant remember ever seeing the place as empty. For those of you that frequent LS, I arrived at 7 and parked in the FIRST row. Weird. I think they raised the rates, let the course go to Hell and the regulars have gone to El Prado or somewhere. Had a fun day, wont be back until someone says its better. Too bad, we really like both North and South, but with higher $$ and lousy conditions and if we are guessing right it will get worse, we will stay away for awhile.

Los Serranos North is not in the condition we would expect. Lots of poana on the greens which adversely affects the putting. The fairways have a lot of patchy grass clumps and quite a bit of bare or very thin spots. perhaps they decided not to reseed the fairways this year. staff is still tops however.

I like this course better than famous South Course. Each hole has a different challenge. I love the new English style bunkers. The GPS on the carts is another great plus. The main downside with this course is the slow play. Do not dare to go on an weekend in the afternoon. The people in cub are OK, but I've met much nicer people.

Played on 4/17 and the course was in best condition I have ever seen it. The greens, from 1-18 were smooth as glass and running not less than 10.5 on stimp, with many putts being faster due to green udulations. I feel the North course has more character than the South though not as long, and was amazed how perfect the playing conditions were. Unfortunately I believe the fairways were being punched, since the first hole was in process while we teed off. If it was just the first hole being punched than play as soon as possible, because conditions like this don't last long on public tracks.

7:38 AM tee time, started at 7:30, played in 4.5 hrs. The course was in great shape. Tee boxes were level with only a few divots on some, the fairways were lush, no bald spots, no dry spots. The ball ran 10 - 15 yards. The rough was cut, about 2 in high, and forgiving. Ball came out decent, with some shots coming out hot. The greens had been cut and rolled, they were lush and smooth and running medium to fast, no ball marks at all. The bunkers were sandy but not fluffy, some were a bit packed others were OK. Going back to play the South course next week.

Since they lost their trees I've haven't played here a whole lot. Not since 2004 on the North. I found the course to be in very very nice condition. Greens were good, considering they had not yet been cut. (played early am) Actually everything is in much better shape than it used to be back in the 70's and 80's. However, I sure miss the visual sensation and added challange of the trees.

Played this course on 4/3/07. The course is in great condition. The fairways are lush the greens are soft and rolling pretty quick. This is the second time I've played this course and it seems to get better everytime. For the price ($32) you get a cart equipped with GPS. Played in 4 hours. I hear this course gets pretty packed on the weekend , which sounds like every course I've played in California. Weekday golfing is the way to go if you can sneak away from work.

Gotta say, right now L.S. North is in very nice shape, greens have a light sand,no holes, smooth and fast. Not crazy fast, but fast. Everything else is in great shape, staff is as always very professional. South is being punched and heavy sanding,, Play the North right now. Good deal at $35 for seniors. Question,, how can L.S. North be rated at a 131 from the Blues and Soboba be a 125 from the same?Soboba uses Blacks but they are blues. Weird.

First time playing this course and I will definitely be coming back. To begin the staff was very friendly and courteous. Every cart is equipped with a GPS system. The fairways are green and lush. The greens were punched about two weeks ago and have come back nicely. The course itself has numerous elevation changes. Went online and played the course for $32.00 with a cart. You can't beat that. Played the course in exactly 4 1/2 hours.

Los Serrano should be the model for all starters. If you have a 6:30 tee time, you will tee off at 6:30 period. The course managers make sure that you play your round in 4 and 10 minutes max. If you are playing slower than this you will be advised to pick up the pace. Marshalls from other courses should spend time with Los Serranos marshall and learn how to appropriately tell groups to pick up the pace when necessary.

The course itself was in good condition when we played on 12/2/06. Our time was at 6:50 am. The final putt dropped in at 10:59. The first green was a little bumpy but still in good shape. The newly added bunkers are a real nice addition and certainly made the course more challenging. It did appear that they are still working on several holes but nothing that takes away from the courses' looks and playability. Hopefully, California will get some rain to get the fairways and rough a nicer green.

I strongly recommend playing either course.

Course is in very good shape. It is easier to play than the South due to its length, but still offers a good variety of holes and challenges for all but those sticks that drive it close to 300 yards and can control their irons. At the end of the round us mortals with drives of less than 250 yards, the North will feellike a good fit. A good score reauires straight drives and good iron shots, the greens are not fast or tricky. A good course to feel good about your game if you are a single digit handicap with less then 250+ yard average drives.

Played the course on 11-12. Three of us arrived at 10:30am to try and walk on. The staff got us out at 11:15am, not bad at all... I found the course to be in overall good shape. Good and fast greens as is the case at Los Serranos. Bunkers were great. Most of the tee boxes were either damp or outright muddy. Fairways and rough had some bare spots where it looked as if the sprinklers just did'nt reach very well. All in all it's a nice track...

Played Saturday. Overall condition of the course was great. Lots of bunkers protecting the greens. I was able to test my bunker shots throughout the round. I actually able to test the #16 bunker which I was able to get out in two shots. I didn't play well this week but enjoyed the course. North course is good but I still prefer South course.

Agree with most of the recent reviews,, greens are thick and smooth and in some cases tough to read. The guy who set the pins today jerked a few up in the air, created volcano effect, pissed us off, We had a 8:15 tee time, 5 freaking hours, shouldnt take that long that early in the AM. That means the first 10 or so groups were dogs out there. We noticed a bunch of the groups in front of us were in small tournys, what a nightmare as they think they are at the ***** Masters. Course and Staff are fun and all that, they are just too busy,or we are in too much of a hurry. Gonna be back, but with earlier tee time.

Played on 10/10 and course was playing fair. Greens, fairways, rough, and bunkers were in good condition. North is much shorter than South and before they lost the trees was the choice of most locals. Without trees the course is on the boring side, though easier to score on due to the shorter distances of holes. Still interensting enough to keep you motivated if you are playing well, and is about $5.00 less the South. Also groups playing the North tend to play faster than those who choose the South, since the hackers on the South usually play from tees too much for their game to handle. Play the South before 7:30 or else take the North course so you can finish before lunch.

Los Serranos North is in terrific shape. Played 10/5, The overseeding and work on the greens is done and the course LOOKS great! Some of the tee boxes are a little shaggy, but we know thats to let the new grass set in . Greens were a little slow but smooth and held shots well. Bunkers were in nice shape as were the fairways. They are working on the South now so stay away for a couple of weeks. The North Course has a heavy schedule, amazing they keep it as nice as they do. It was fun. Play it now before it gets beat up .

Early morning when we started was pretty wet all over the place(dew +watering). From having sun starting dry the entire course we realized especially greens are in excellent conditions going quicker & quicker hole to hole rolling smooth with good enjoyable speed that actually hard to find at other courses. There's some changes from last time I played pretty long time ago.I thought they changed all bunkers (british style)when I saw the advertisement in golf magazine with photo but they did only hole #16(I don't know if they scheduled to expand all over the course or just for photo) & incorporation of GPS (old fashioned) was very useful.Except tee boxes pretty beated up rest of the course can't complain.I noticed that they gonna do aeration next week.Buddies ! Go to play before they do !

If you play here, take your cell phone to call for a replacement cart! Our first cart died on the hill toward #3 green and a replacement arrived in about 5 minutes. The second cart died on the way to the #12 green. We called and waited, no one came, so we loaded as much as possible onto the other cart and began walking. We had the lady in the snack bar call again and it was a total of 20 minutes before the replacement cart arrived, with the man in it complaining that "all the kids who work there don't do anything but sit around and talk" as his reason for the delay. I'm 60 years old and I got to walk up and down those hills carrying my bag for twenty minutes--sure am glad I had that cell phone with me and I don't have any heart trouble! The course was in good shape and we enjoyed our round--except for the cart switching hassles.

Decidedly mediocre round. Course condition was just OK, not great conditions but not awful. Fairways has many different types of grass but not too much bald areas. Greens were slow but pretty hard. I was disappointed with the layout. Very few trees, not much need to hit the ball straight. Lots of ups and downs but only one significant dogleg. A few small water hazards but they don't really come into play. Good for a change of pace but II won't be going back. Starter said that South course is undergoing big-time construction.

Played Fri., 7-28, started ca. 10 a.m. Pace was great; maybe 4 - 4.5 hours in a 4some. Hadn't been here in a couple years. Heard about the renovations. Liked the course. A couple of temporary tee boxes shortened it; esp. on the front nine. Agree the slope rating too high from the blues. Fairways and greens in pretty good shape. Rough beside fairways not much of a problem. Overshot a few greens. That rough behind the greens was thick and tough to gauge the right swing when trying to chip on. Bunkers generally OK. Lot of maintenance, construction still in progress. Green fee very reasonable. Now, if only the 91 fwy wasn't so slow getting out there........

This course is as good a bang for your buck as you'll find. The management is not afraid to invest $$ in the course and constantly strives to keep it manicured like a high dollar course. Now if only we could teach some inconsiderate idiots out there to rake a trap after they use it and fix, not only theirs, but a few extra ball marks on the green, it would improve moreso! My only complaint is the course slope is way too high. Should be about 123 from the blues and sub-120 from the whites. If you play here regularly, you'll suffer with an artificially low handicap.

Played here 7/04/06. Had not been here for a while and was very happy with the changes that have been made here. New traps and tee boxes made me feel like I had never played here before. Greens and fairways were in fine shape. Pace of play was miserable but would do you expect on a holiday. $65 green fee is a little steep for the area but I feel that it is worth it.

Played 6/1. Course in decent enough shape. Greens were spongy and slow. Fairways had quite a few dead areas. Bunker sand is inconsistent. They had just aeriated (sp) the fairway on #14 (uphill par 5). It was clean and place. Course is a little rough around the edges, but I personally think it's a deal for $48 weekday, $65 weekend, but I'm a south orange county resident and would find myself paying $90 or more for the equivalent course on a weekend (which is why I don't play weekends)!

Since they have lengthened the course and added sand traps the course is much more enjoyable. You have to play number sixteen with the "Three Amigos" sand bunkers.
I don't feel a public course is worth the money they charge.

Played 4/30. The course is playing pretty good right now. The fairways have some spotting but overall really nice. The greens for the front nine definitely show aeration holes and sand. The back nine greens are in much better condition -- except for the 18th green. The 18th green is pretty bad condition when compared to the others...kind of a let down because it is the last impression you take away.

First time on course since the addition of new bunkers, trees, and new Green tees (6700 yards long, now). It's a whole new experience. Great course and great value. Only complaint: When we made the tee time they told us greens were great. They'd punched over a month ago. We were suprised to arrive today to find they greens punched with the small holes and lightly sanded. Very disappointing. In the pro shop they were telling all who called that the north greens were better than the south's, but I walked on one of the south greens at the snack shop up top and that green was in better shape than any on the north. Whatcha gonna do?

Played Thurs,1 PM tee time, 5 hr round, but seemed shorter,no standing around, just crowded. Course is in great shape, greens are almost there, fairways and other stuff is back, bunkers need a couple of months to pack in, rain will help, but everything is better than the good old days. Staff is always fun to deal with. With the price of gas if ya live close no need to go anywhere else except for Goose Creek. We dont care which course,North or South, they put us on, both are fun.

Played on 4/12 am. This course is in the best shape I have ever seen it in. I agree with earlier posting that the greens were inconsistent, but not deceiving. You can see right away how your ball will roll. 18 green is the hardest surface of any green, careful with your approach, might not hold that well right now. Groundskeepers still in process of manicuring new bunkering, which are a bit oversanded. Had to deal with 2 ridiculous fried eggs, stomached one and threw up the other. Overall you should be pleased with this course, especially for the price.

Played sunday 3/26. teed off 7:38 tee time at 8am, but round was 4hr15min. 1st time playing since the renovation. Love the new bunkers. Didn't go into any of them, but some of them were surprising, as I didn't really pay attn to them until after I hit.. "oh, that wasn't there before". Greens were inconsistent, they recovered from punching, i think, the ball rolled well. But some were spongy, some were hard, 2 or 3 greens were alot faster than others... Overall greens on the slower side. Overall, good round.

Played the North 2/27. The course was in excellent shape. With the new bunkering and tee areas this is now a great test from the tips. After the changes plays about 2-4 strokes tougher. You can forget about reaching 14 in two unless you can bomb your second shot to the green in the air and get it to stop. Probably 50 yards of new bunkers in front of that hole. No.16 now has St.Andrews style bunkering in front of green. You don't want to play from there. Great improvements.

The course is very well taken care of. As of 11/13/2005 the course is going through some improvements. Several areas were under repair but did not effect play, except one hole that had a temp green. Several sand traps are being updated and I believe the 16th hole has added a couple of brutal traps in front of the green. Nasty too.

Played as a walk on twosome 11-2-05. Walked into the pro shop a 7:30 and right out to the first tee. Very light play; caught up with a 4-some on No. 5 and played through. Finished in 3:10 without rushing. Fairways and greens (very consistent medium speed) in very good condition. Played off the newly constructed tees. As usual, the staff was very friendly. well worth the price (seniors: $33 with cart).

Played October 30, 2005. Course played great. greens were flat and fast. Best course I have played for the money, in the last 10-12 weeks.
I have played Dad Miller, Green River, Industry Hills-Eisenhower, Whispering Lakes. There were a few spots on the course that were under repair, but looks like it will be gone soon. The 5 or 6 alternate tee boxes were ugly, but those too should be gone soon. Would play there again real soon. We finished the round in 4:10, with a tee time of 8:50. Great day of golf, thank you Los Serranos

Played North course 10.25.05 10am
Noone playing behind us, backed up a little bit in front. A handful of holes had "temporary tee boxes," played off a very shoddy area away from the nice looking tee boxes right behind it.. Course under construction, one hole in particular didnt even have a real green.
However, course itself in great condition, greens were soft... Prett good course

Its been a while since I played the north course and pretty much the same. As usual, our tee time is 45 minutes late. same thing with the greens-soft and very bumpy. We're not aware about reconstruction going on several of the tee boxes. But overall the course still is in good condition. Able to finish the course in 4 hrs and 50 which is pretty good to me.

Teed off Tuesday the 15th 8AM, course is in good to great shape, grrens are almost in good shape, some areas with fungus or something but not in the way of our play. Some fairways are a bit soggy, some bunkers are wet. But,, for the senior rate of $33 this is a very good bargin. The gps must have been purchased at Big Lots , kinda old fashioned and NEVER once did the two carts have the same yardage from the exact same spot. But again, this is a fun and well kept facility. Staff is great as usual. Of course we have another tee time, but for the South.

Course was in very acceptably shape. Obviously some storm damage still showing, but not at all in the way of play. What a great experience. My son and I walk in at 8:25 and instantly get a 8:38 tee time. Played in about 4-¼ hrs. Greens hold short irons well, but not so soft that they do not roll true. Sand traps excellent, though some are still being refilled. Yes a little pricey but worth it to play once in a while. Couldn’t see paying that much every week. When for a few bucks more there’s Oak Quarry.

I play regularly on Saturdays. Blue tees were moved back on holes 7, 9, 11 lengthening those holes by 20 to 30 yards; fairway traps have been installed to challenge the long hitters. It is now a more challenging course. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Pro shop personnel very pleasant and accomodating as usual.

We have not played North for awhile as comments were not good. Played North yesterday, great shape,4 hours,8 AM tee time. #12 is closed, they will be re doing around 10 holes,, one at a time,, they have a par 3 after #18 to allow a full 18 holes be played. This track is in good shape, greens a little slow but smooth. By summer the North will be awesome. We made a tee time for next week,, fun day.

5 hour round on a Thursday--not crowded--no tournaments is uncalled for! The marshall said, "Well, there is 5 foursomes in a row." "The best thing to do is come at 6:00 am. Then you can play in 2 hours." WHAT!!!...... The course was in good shape. The near record rain fall in this rain season has helped the condition of this and many other golf courses. Because of our individualistic society and poor marshalling the problem of slow play will never go away. sad to say

Played on 3-2-05. Fairways were very thick-mud stuck to golf ball on every shot. Greens did not hold and you could see the poa annua just starting to surface--greens are sure to be really bumpy soon. Rough was 8 to 10 inches after mowing and was impossible. Had not played course in one year because of slow play--there are just too many golfers allowed on the course and it was a week day. I've crossed it off my list.

The golf course was not in great shape because of the recent rains. Fairways were damp and were flooded in some areas, greens were decent and the tee boxes were ok. Los Serranos is a nice old school golf course with trees bordering the fairways and there are some elevation on some golf holes too. Golf course plays a lot longer than the yardage because of uphill approaches and fairways that do not let the ball run much. All in all, a nice golf course with good practice facilities.

Played Sunday after Thanksgiving. Though the course was wet from several days of rain, the conditions were good. Customer service was excellent - efficient proshop/starter and the Marshall helped us look for a stray shot and diplomatically got our twosome ahead of a foursome. It was nice to play a course where proshop, starter and marshall were all focused on creating a pleasant experience. The North course is not as long as the South course but I really like how you have to think about the club you chose and where you need to land your shots.

Played 11-14 which was a Sunday. The group 2 in front was incredibly slow, so our round was 5+ hours. Need to have the marshals keep on top of slow groups. The course had some areas under repair but the greens were in pretty good shape. This course is still a good value and with a little effort will be a great value.

Southern Cal. has not had too much rain over the past 3 years. It is starting to show on many golf courses especially this one. The fairways were very dry with many bare spots. This course lost a lot of character when the disease killed many trees a few years back. The most important part of a course (greens) were in good shape.

This was the first time on the north course. A very enjoyable experience. The greens were in great shape, the sand fluffy. and there was minimal waiting. Will start playing here more often as I am just down the road. Usually play at goose creek and eagle glen. In general had a more enjoyable experience here. Thought you guys should know they will punch the greens on the 22 of march. Wait till late April to play as the course is really showing some wear. Rough is spotty but usually have a better lie there than in the fairway as the fairway are beat up.

Overall the course was in good shape. The rough was a little thick only because the ball sat down so it was difficult to find balls at times. The speed of the greens was not consistant but it was not terribly different. This is a nice course to play with a few fun holes and a few very challenging holes. The best playing tip I can give for this course is to read your putt from both sides of the hole because a few greens have severe slopes. From above the hole it is easy to blow one by if you dont look at the putt from below the hole to gage the slope.

Course appears to be down this week. It looked and played much better only a few weeks ago. After playing Los Serranos for many years, it becomes obvious where the maintenance patterns are. Right now appears to be their "slow" season because the overall condition of the course appears to be slipping, especially the fairways!!! But never fear, come mid - to late march and April this will be the best looking course in the area except for Goose Creek.

Los Serranos North is a good track. I usually play weekdays first light (or before...). Last round the fog severly obscured the first and second holes, but then lifted. Course is in good shape, and play has been satisfying. Watch out for the steep slope on the #8 green!

North course is in nice shape for this time of year. Some of the fairways were a little thin; cart path only on 8 so it can grow in. Greens were in very good shape. A little fuzzy and slow, but not horrible. Pace of play was very slow. No marshalls moving folks along. They were twenty minutes behind on the tee sheet. But, for $34 with cart on a sunday, great deal.

The North is such a great value at $50 bucks on a Saturday morning. People need to get off the "JUST HIT SOUTH" and play the beeter of the two courses at Los Serranos.

Played on 12/7. Fairways and rough in terrible condition. Many bare spots and from appearances, it looks as if no maintenance has been performed on the fairways and rough. Greens were slow and spongy and some bare spots also. Tee boxes and bunkers were in decent shape. This course used to be in excellent shape, what happened ?

Course is in nice shape once again after the fall overseeding. well worth the $50.00 reduced greens fee.

Course is in very good shape. Very crowded, probably due to the golf extra $50 on sunday promo. Starter was a little snippy. Group in front of us was VERY SLOW (standing over one foot putts forever and crawling off the greens). At #7 tee they'd fallen one and a half holes behind the group in front. We told the marshall who listened to us, nodded, then, instead of zooming off to ask the group in front to hustle up, he turned his cart around and drove off in the opposite direction! We finished in the dark--a 5 hour round cuz the group in front was so slow.

This course is in as good as shape as I have ever seen it for the end of summer. Weel worth the greens fees, even without all of those trees.

Having played here since I moved to California in 1970, I still have a difficult time getting past the absence of the trees. However, not with standing that, the general condition of the course has really gone downhill. (Which is possibly why they are offering discounts for the first time I can recall) If I don't return for a while, it won't be because of the trees (Or lack of), but rather the poor condition of the course. Too bad, because it's still a wonderful track!

I miss the old trees, too!! NOT!!! I like the layout without having to punch out on every hole!! :-P The greens were slow slow slow!! This was last week (May 28th) - hopefully they will mow 'em a little tighter - and roll 'em, too - as they were bumpy and very inconsistent. Still an enjoyable place to play - and - for $27.00 twilighjt after 2:00 PM - it's still one of the best bargains around!!!

Played here just yesterday (Thurs). It's been more a 2 years ago since I last played on this course & still found it to be one of the best & beautiful courses in the Inland Empire. I also miss the old big trees that lined up the fairways (as the other guy said) which had been replaced by new small trees. Course is pretty good except tee box grass need some cut. Watch out for the 17th & 18th green (they looked like newly aerated). Played the South Course also a few weeks ago which was always a nice course.

Shorter of the two courses, but more up and down than the South course with many elevated greens and some elevated tees. Rolling fairways are well maintained and present both uphill and downhill lies.

A really nice course with some elevation changes, elevated tees and greens. Greens
& tee boxes are in good shape. Pace can be slow on the weekend. Recommend playing
during the week for maximum enjoyment.
Great, courteous staff and a real country club feel.
