Played in the late afternoon on Thursday, 7/24/08, on a hot sunny day with only light breezes. I like this course but was disappointed in green condition, with inconsistent, hard, dry, crusty, spiky, slow greens. Greens looked strange – looked like a mixture of two or more types of grass. Fairways were dry but OK, sand OK, rough pretty deep and patchy. Elevation changes make this one of the more interesting resort-style Vegas courses. Not crowded – we finished in 4 hours despite some slow holes where we had trouble. Water only at the midpoint of each 9 (inc. bathroom). No cart girl today but course provided ice and a cooler. No ranger at this hour. Recommended, but take care of those greens!

my wife and i played played here 05/25/08. first of all, customer service from pro shop to marshal to cart guys is first class! my wife is a beginner and wanted to play just us two, on a packed day, they accommodated us!

what's nice is the pace, which the scorecard reminds you of. we finished in 4:10.

this is a shorter course (370 yd Par 4's) in the middle of a senior housing community, but nonetheless very fun and a deal for $70.00 for 2.

there are some outstanding, incredible views of the mountains and the strip. would play again, it was an absolute pleasure!

Played here on 3/31 on a beautiful afternoon. Course is in okay shape right now. Greens are a little bumpy for this course with many light green splotches. Fairways were average also with too many tight lies for me. This course is usually in better shape this time of year but was still a fun course to play. A good course for the lower price they offer just wish it was in better shape.

Played this course on 3/13 . . I liked the course. There were some things that I found a bit unusual. Certainly different from the normal desert courses that I play in Tucson. The fairways were "V" or "U" shaped. If you hit the ball left or right . . it almost always rolled back into the middle of the fairway. This is not a bad thing . . but is way different than hitting it out into the desert and then it staying there stuck under mesquite trees and rocks. The greens were very weird. They had a spotted, splotchy appearance to them. A combination of dark green and light green grasses. They rolled pretty true, they were slow, but seemed to be pretty fair. The 18th was the only green that was really bad. It was very furry and didn't appear as if it had been mowed all day. This is a course that would be great to play in the early evening when the lights of the strip were on. There were some spectacular views of the strip, but playing at mid-day, the lights weren't on so some of the drama was lost. My wife and I played with a couple of locals, and they provided some good insights to the course while playing. There are very few real trouble areas. One hole on the back 9 (forget the number right now) has big trouble if you hit driver too far off the tee. There's a hidden "canyon" of rocks that runs right through the fairway. I was alerted to this thanks to the guys we played with. It's out of my driver range, but a lot of folks could easily find themselves in deep doo doo off the tee box. I would guess it's about 260 off the tee. The customer service was first class. The driving range was very nice. The putting green was excellent. I was suprised when pulling up to unload that there was not a bag drop. I think this is the only course I have ever played that did not have a bag drop area. I would play this course if traveling to LV again because it is a fun course. I would compare it very much to San Ignacio in the Tucson area, with the big difference being the "V" or "U" shaped fairways. There are some very beautiful golf holes at Highland Falls, and when I get back to the home computer will post some pictures for you to view.

A great find, a reasonably priced Las Vegas course! Lots of houses, but still very scenic. Conditions were prett good with some bare spots in fairways, but not mant. Greens held well and putts rolled smoothly. Some good elevation changes with some hidden hazards. We played with some members and the local knowledge helped. Overall a very good experience at a very un-Vegas price. Recommended.

Great course, this is a must play in Vegas. Played 11/14/07 and course was in perfect shape. It is out in the suburbs and yes, it is surrounded by houses, but the layout and spectacular views of the mountains and las vegas strip help you forget about that. The back nine is the better nine, hole 14 is an elevated par 3 with one of the best views you'll find on a golf course. A must play when in vegas, and much better priced than its competitors.

Played 10/31/07 on a warm, clear windless day in Vegas. See my earlier posts on this fun resort-style course with challenging, hilly holes on the back nine. Conditions were good, with very good fairways, firm bunkers, pretty good pace due to few players. Greens came out of overseeding/aeration about four weeks ago and are still a little rough and slow. Clumpy grass in the rough can really make the ball sit down. Ball washers are all at the white tees. The rough area left of 18 is sodded and very torn up. No cart girl at this time. Still recommended.

Played Sunday afternoon, 8/20/2006, at resident twilight rate of $25, so a great deal. This resort-style course in a retirement community is a fairly wide open, fun track that becomes challenging on the back nine with some tough uphill holes and smallish slopy greens. Not many opportunities to hit driver unless you can hit it high. Greens were all dry and very firm. Be aware very little water available - fountain at mid-point of each nine and cart girl only. No GPS or yardage book available. Recommended.

Played on 4/11/06. conditons are good and course has interesting layout especially multi tiered and sloped greens are very challenging! Probably will score better the second time you play it. great views of valley and houses are far enough away from course so as to not interfere with play. i recommend it!

played just after punched and before overseeding, so i can't fairly comment much on conditions. course has had much of the grass replaced with desert for water conservation purposes which doesn't really affect play whatsoever. starter "brian" was a real jerk, but the rest of the staff was excellent. nice layout and golfing experience for the price. average course by vegas standards.

Played 9/5/05 on a Labor Day weekend special. Course was to begin aerating greens the next day, so conditions were drier and cut shorter than normal. This is a much more interesting course than sister Palm Valley just down the road - shorter, but tighter with smaller, slopier greens and significant elevation changes on some holes. Bunkers were more in play and used nicely to shape holes visually and strategically. Great views of the Vegas Valley, especially on the back nine. Greens were firm and very quick, esp. above the hole and moving away from the nearby mountains. Several back nine holes playing uphill/into the wind were very difficult. No yardage book or GPS - you have to guess sometimes, like on the downhill, downwind par 5 16th - who would have thought I could reach that hazard 335 yards off the tee (had to slip that in) and lose a stroke! In good condition with slick greens, this would be a fun challenge to any golfer.
