We used the voucher we won at the Indian Wells event for Anthem Revere Concord on 1/7/15. We got very lucky on picking that date because the weather was absolutely perfect! A few days on either side and it wouldn't have been nearly as nice.

I thought that this course has a very interesting layout with some spectacular views of the Las Vegas strip area as well as the surrounding hills and residential areas. At this time of year, the rough is dormant and provides a striking visual contrast between the light-colored rough and dark green fairways. Even though the rough is dormant, it isn't any easier and the ball really nestles down into it. It is swirly and twisty and you have to really guess as to how much resistance it will provide to the clubhead. Short chips around the greens were very challenging.

The greens and especially tees were very sandy, although the greens were still quite playable. We lucked out and picked a day with hardly any wind, but I can see how hitting fairways here would be pretty tough on a windy day. The bunkers seemed to be pretty nice although I was only in one. There seemed to be a shortage of rakes on most holes, especially near the numerous large fairway bunkers.

The staff were very friendly and even moved our starting time back for us because they were having a private event in their restaurant which meant we had to go find a place to have breakfast making us a little late. There are numerous practice putting and chipping areas to use and the driving range is all grass. The clubhouse and facilities are really nice. We'd return to Revere for sure!

Concord was supposed to be a bit easier than the Lexington, so we booked this one first. I played the whites and found myself hitting into trouble off the tee quite a bit. Still managed an 87.

Course has some less than stellar spots in the fairways and most bunkers were lacking in the sand department but otherwise the course is gorgeous...nice track and good views.

GPS and cooler on the carts are a nice and welcomed touch. Cart service came around several times as well.

Played the Revere Concord course yesterday and found the course to be ready for overseeding. The fairway grass were dried up but did not affect play in a negative way. Missing the fairway was brutal, the rough was green and deep. Several times my group and I had to search up and down the holes to find our ball deep in tall grass. The greens were in great shape considering most of its surrounds were all brown. Pace of play was perfect even though we had several groups in front of us, we still managed to finish our round in just under 4.5 hours.

My only issues with the course would be some of the tee boxes were not level. It had pot holes like areas where most people would like to tee up at. I had to tee up a foot or two back to find a level area to hit from. Lastly the sand traps looked terrible. Although I did not get a chance to hit out of them. I had the opportunity to stand in one to hit my ball and it was hard. I was expecting it to be beach like, easy to dig in.

Hopefully once the overseeding process has been completed they can repair these key areas and get the course back in top form.

Played on Sunday, 7/28, at 7am, using a $32 groupon discount. Course has recently changed management companies. Customer service was outstanding. I called for the tee time, and the guy was very friendly. He even gave me the overseed schedule when I asked about their plans. At the course, I had very minimum contact with the staff. Bag drop staff was friendly and carts have your name and tee time on them. Nobody at the cart drop after the round. Starter got us out right on time and nicely handled the guy who wanted to get out a few groups ahead of his time (Sorry, full tee sheet). Only saw the drink cart a couple of times, but the carts had 2 bottles of water ready. Pace was perfect at exactly 4.5 hours. Conditions were outstanding for the dead of summer. Tee boxes were level with very little damage. Fairways were incredible, lush and carpet like. Rough was thick and about 2-4" long. Greens were smooth, but had some unrepaired ball marks. Speed started off around medium, but sped up as the sun started to bake them. The only downsides to the course were the bunkers, which had lots of rocks, and the amount of water on the course. With the early tee time comes pools of water in the low area and humidity. I loved the course and would play it more often if it wasn't on the opposite side of town for me. Concord runs through the arroyos in the far south end of the valley, with lots of elevation changes and some great views of Vegas. It does have houses, but they are barely noticeable on most holes.

Played a round on May 4th 2014 @ 8am. The conditions were terrible all over Henderson, winds up to 30 mph in some areas. At the Revere most of the wind was blocked by the surrounding houses and high walls. My group was able to play a great round of golf. The greens were in great shape and fast, many multi-level greens made putting a challenge, fairways were green, tee boxes were level, and sand traps were fluffier than most in town. Definitely not a Pebble Beach sand trap but still nice. The course is a must play for anyone coming into town for the weekend and for locals looking for a challenging course.

Played here 2/24 around 12PM as 3 some. I must say, I was very disappointed with the overall condition of the course. I played the sister course Lexington about a month ago so I was expecting somewhat similar conditions. Staff was attentive as usual so no issues there. There was a group just ahead of us still hitting from the fairways so we took 5 minutes to hit few balls at the range so that they would be cleared up by the time we got to the tee. We hit our tee shots and took about 5 min to look for the lost ball when the group behind came up on the tee so we played on. We get to the 2nd hole and they were still in the middle of the fairway. This went on for 4 holes before ranger let us play through. By the way, it took over 1 hr to play first 3 hole. After we got through them, it was smooth sailing. It took us less than 3 hrs to play the next 14 holes.

Tee boxes were in poor shape. Lots of dead areas and divots that has not been repaired. Fairways have lot of damages from divots and dead brown areas are more prevalent than I'd like to see for higher end course as this. Conditions were comparable to local munis. Dormant rough was not an issue and expected for this time of the year. Bunker has very thin layer of sand so greenside bunkers were tough since your wedge bounced off unless your ball was sitting in the dead center of the bunker not to mention multiple mini pebbles that would scratch up your club. Greens did have some browning here and there but was in good enough shape except for the unfixed ball marks. Honestly, we wanted to quit after playing about 5 holes. This course has very fun layout with lots of elevation changes. I would recommend waiting few months for the grasses to be repaired before playing the Concord. In the mean time, play the Lexington course where conditions are much better and you'll be able to avoid the disappointment.

Played this course on Sat Feb 16, this was my first visit to this Vegas course and I had a great time. I have played other Troon managed courses, and they have been excellent without exception, that was part of the reason I came to this course. I was not disappointed, and my two playing partners also had a great time. The customer service was excellent, we saw the cart girl at least 4 times, and the starter was especially great. He gave us several tips on how best to play, and got us out a few minutes early.

The tee boxes were mostly in really good condition, with just a few exceptions on the par 3's. I noticed that they have at least 4 different boxes on each hole so they can be rotated frequently. So our boxes were in good shape for the days play.

The fairways were in good condition for being in the middle of winter. I did notice some thin dry patches, but our groups shots were never really affected. There were plenty of divots in the fairways, but they were filled and repaired to an adequate level. I liked the contrasting yellow color of the rough which is obviously dormant. The rough was cut down and not to penalizing for a stray drive. This definitely helped my groups game as we are known to miss a fairway or two.

The greens were quite challenging, they were extremely firm and shots that are too strong would roll right through into a waiting back bunker. They ran rather quick as well. The undulations made for some challenging putts if your approach was not on the correct third of the green. As noted in other reviews the bunkers are really played as waste areas, so you can ground your club and take practice swings. I found the bunkers to be very thin, and very compact, making a traditional green side "sand" bunker shot very difficult. This type of bunker is not good or bad, just not my personal preference.

Overall the course was extremely enjoyable. I absolutely love the elevation changes, and elevated tee boxes. The course also presented a good challenge, especially on the holes that went back up the mountain sides. These holes were brutal to any wayward shots, and I loved the challenge! I wanted to put another note about customer service, around the 8-9th hole we started to back up a little bit, so the course sent out a starter to let us and another group know that we could move to the other course and play that front 9 if we wanted too. I thought that this was a classy move, as it put the option in our lap. We decided to stay on Concord, and I am glad we did. I will definitely return on future visits to Vegas.

Played Sunday, 1/20, as part of a Revere golfing weekend, using some expiring GK 2somes (thanks Weber2323 and Hardknocksfan!). Customer service was great. Greeted at the bag drop, and was told how to get around the area. Access to the large driving range is included, with more than enough stations to handle both courses. Each course has their own practice green, and they were very similar. The starter was a few minutes ahead of schedule, and gave a great rundown of the course and what to expect.

I found the course conditions to be better than their current ratings. Fairways were firm, but lush, with little amount of bare spots or damage. The rough is dormant bermuda, but easy to hit out of. Tee boxes were just OK. More than a few were not level, and the Par 3s had some divot damage. Bunkers on Concord were played as waste areas with no rakes. Lots of pebbles and small rocks in the desert like sand.

The greens had me worried, as you see the Concord's front 9 as you drive in. You see the green fairways with the brown dormant rough, then you notice these brown greens. However, looks can be deceiving. They were actually a dark green, with spots of a different grass in them. They were firm and medium fast, with little amount of ball marks.

After playing both Concord and Lexington, I prefer the Concord. Fairways are a little tighter, but run through arroyos, that funnel that ball down into the middle of the fairway. Concord also seemed to have more memorable holes than Lexington, even though both have elevated tees and great city views. Both courses are worth the green fees.

This round was comped by Greenskeeper.org , as a price won from a prior and a recent Greenskeeper.org outing. Although, I assure you, you will be reading a fair review from me in case you may think I would be biased because of it, but it doesn't change the fact that my buddy and I were excited about coming up to play this course.

Who wouldn't? Visiting Sin City means, "We're going out for a good time!", although golf is always the priority overall. Anthem's Revere Golf Club sets the mode to have some fun golf. Why? Because it's length, with a course slope and rating that isn't the type that will beat you up, though enough for you to bring a game. . . so, yeah, "Let The Games Begin!"

We made sure we were a couple of hours early for our tee time so we could have the full treatment of this courses' facilities. We had a nice breakfast and have checked in at their beautiful clubhouse and pro shop with ease from the staff who were well organized and had a good attitude about being in a golf environment making us feel comfortable.

Well, the boys met us at the parking lot and set aside our bags. We meet a nice young man named, Spencer Cody, who set us up for the day when I made the tee time and he's the same nice guy over the phone who welcomed us when we got there to check in. It was good to have met him in person.

The base weather for the day was a clear day with a slight breeze, 10 miles an hour at most. The temperature was at 50 and rose no more than 56. We expected this weather and we were dressed well. So well, that we played well and were complemented both on the game and outfits. But we weren't the only two who were properly dressed. Many guys there followed their branding like Titleist with FootJoy, TaylorMade with Adidas and so forth. . . Very cool and comforting to walk into a course like this.

Anyway, if you are visiting here, be aware of two courses here, the Lexington, and the course we played, the Concord, located on the western slope of Henderson, Nevada facing the city of Las Vegas which makes for a nice view from more than a few holes.

The practice facilities are large areas and they are segregated in different locations for putting, chipping and a wide long range with target area as the real estate sprawls along its gentle sloped properties. At this time, they are using Callaway range balls which were shiny and new, adding to the upper class type of course you are about to get on and knowing you will be on a course where it is run by "golf people". We never asked who ran the operations for the course-- but it exudes expertise of how a course should be managed and directed. How is that for a positive and unbiased feedback?

The teeing grounds were level and were in very good shape.

The fairways are nicely maintained. The ball runs well on good grounds like they have it. No mushy over watered plugging balls here. But the fairways aren't a dried up concrete either. This course is in a good quality and a very good playing condition for a fairway.

Fairway bunkers and green side bunkers: Although I was only in in two of them (green sides), I must say that the bunkers lack the good sand and quality.

The Greens, however, were fast, possibly at 11 stimp meter, but there are more than a few UN-repaired ball marks and maybe some wasn't properly repaired and the green didn't have a chance to heal properly, making the surface a bit bumpy and in some cases giving a false break when it ricochet. The greens are mostly generous in size. It maybe that our group could have been just unlucky with the old ball divots. But still, this is something that either the players on this course or the course it self should keep an eye on. I don't mean anything about its looks when a ball mark turns brown, that's normal. However, un-repaired marks makes it difficult for the greens to heal properly and it makes it for a disappointing day on the greens when a it has no reason for the greens to suffer after some good maintenance efforts were kept.

All in all, I would give this course a strong 8.1, from a scale of 1-10 as 10 being the highest.
