I played Revere Concord course today 9/11/2017. The Lexington course is still closed due to overseeding. Concord will be next for overseeding which had me worried as they usually let the course go downhill a lot before overseeding. That was not the case here on Concord. The course was in great shape. The fairways were lush and full. The rough was from 1 to 3 inches thick and very much a pentalty if you were to find yourself there. The Greens were in great shape and and rolling true at a medium speed. There was a lot of pitch mark damage. I really wish players would fix these at the time of play. It really makes a difference. If I can fix 3 to 4 on every green, then you can fix yours. The tee boxes were level and in great shape. My biggest complaint would be the bunkers. The bunkers were sun baked and very hard with course dirt/sand. The drink cart came around about every 5 holes which was more then sufficient. I really was impressed as many courses in southern Nevada are in poor shape going into end of summer maintenance. Good job Revere!

I played the Lexington a couple of months ago and wanted to try out it's sister course Revere. This is an excellent track that plays a lot different than Lexington. This is a course that rewards putting the ball in the fairway. The greens are slippery fast but you aren't penalized so much for hitting into the wrong part of the green.

I got to the course a little over and 1 1/2 hr early and the starter got me out as soon as I was ready as a single. I was paired up with another single and we eventually paired with the twosome that was behind us. Unfortunately, there were twosomes intermixed with foursomes so the pace of play was 4 - 4 1/2 hrs. Several of the fairways were aerated recently and the course did an amazing job of clearing all of the plugs. I rarely saw any and when I did, it was in the rough. The first hole starts with a severe downhill shot. A long iron will leave you close to the 150 stake with an easy approach into the green. The next several holes go out and back. There is a hazard that will be along the right side for most of the rest of the front nine with a severe slope off the left side of the fairway. The front side will definitely reward a right handed golfer that can hit a draw. If you cut the ball you may be flirting with trouble on many tee shots on the front 9.

The back nine is a lot more forgiving off the tee as many of the holes funnel the ball back to the fairway on both sides. The two par 3s from the tips will each play about 225 even though they are downhill. Both par 5s are reachable with a solid drive. When you get to 18, aim over the right edge of the left fairway bunker and give it all you can. There is a hill that is a ways out there but if you carry it to the hill, you can get your drive out to almost 400 yards. Yes 400 yards. The hole is about 550 from the tips and three of the 4 of use were within 5 - 10 yards of the 150 stake for our second shot.

I don't think you can go wrong with this course. It's really playable and from the tips isn't too long. I don't think I had anything longer than a 5 iron into any of the par 4s. I did hit driver on most of the par 4s with the occasional long iron when I wasn't as confident with the big dog and still had manageable shots into the green.

Definitely give both the Revere courses a try, they are fun and in amazing condition.

I played the Concord course today. Tee time was at noon. The sister course (Lexington) was having the greens aerated today. The course was not crowded at all. I went off as a single and the pace was great all day. I caught another single who wanted me to play through, then a five some, which I'm totally good with on a slow day and if they are paying attention to pace or faster golfers. They saw me drive while they were on the green and I was ready to hit my approach as they cleared the green. They waited for me on the next tee and away I went. That's how it's done, Thanks Guys! Caught and passed another foursome on number 11 and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. Finished 18 in a little over 2 hours.

The course was in excellent shape. Tee boxes were well maintained and level, with very few marked hitting areas. Fairways were lush and full. The rough was cut short and of little penalty. The greens were in great shape and someone was really paying attention to the ball marks. Great job greens keepers and regulars who play there. The greens have recovered nicely from aeration about a month ago. They were not super fast and were not slow. I don't know how to guess the stimp meter but if I had too I would say about 10. The bunkers were better then average but some had been baked in the hot sun and were very firm. But I had no issue getting a club through the sand. I have noticed some courses in the off season in Vegas will get lax on the care of bunkers and greens, plus the ball washers are empty of water. Not the case here at Revere at Anthem Concord. The ball washers were full of water and the mantinance was great. I really enjoyed the round. I was treated well by the staff and was given a couple of options by Don the starter in regards to waiting to join someone else or go out on my own. I appreciate that!

Great experience and I would definitely recommend playing here. Take advantage of the great summer rates.

For a course that charges premium prices it sure does not deliver. Nice layout with multi tier and undulating greens, but that where it ends. Greens look like a war zone as no one fixes ball marks. Asst pro told me the men's club is made up of older gentleman that can't or won't bend over to repair or fix divots on the greens or fill in divots in the fairways. Sand traps are filled with rocks as they told me they can not keep sand in them due to winds in the area. Tee boxes were mostly torn up and not level. If you plan to golf in Vegas save your money for another course or the tables. Practice area was probably the best thing going at this course. Nice pro shop and staff.

We were back the next day to check out the Concord course. Thankfully, the wind calmed down overnight and it turned out to be a beautiful day! Our pace was slower at 4.5 hours, but that's still probably better than average on a perfect weather Friday! Like when we played the Lexington course, we picked the gold tees which are 70.7/132/6546. You'll notice that the rating, slope, and yardage of both courses are similar, but that is where the similarities stop. The Concord course looks and play different than the Lexington course!

The Concord course is a more basic layout with homes closer to the holes and some pine trees that line the course. While it misses some of the desert look compared to the Lexington course, the Concord course still has its share of elevated tees and nice views of the valley (none of the strip though). The Concord course doesn't have the most interesting routing either, at least if you ask me. The front nine is cramped and plays in a small valley. The holes go out on the left side of the valley and return to the clubhouse on the other side. That means that just about every hole on the front has a large amount of left to right slope. I enjoyed the back nine more as it is a little more spread out and has slopes going both ways. You certainly will want to try to land many shots on the left edge of the fairway on the Concord course! I think someone who likes to draw the ball will fare better here than someone who likes to fade it! These fairways are narrow compared to the Lexington course so you are going to have to be more intentional about your misses off the tee.

I didn't paint the course's design in the best light, but what offsets all that is how playable it is and an outstanding 18th hole! The par 3's here also standout. There are plenty of scoring holes thanks to short par 5's and plenty of short par 4's. I'm just an average length hitter (~240 yard average drive) but I had the distance to reach all the par 5's in two. I had a wedge or less into probably half of the holes so it is a place where you could make some birdies! The greens here still have plenty of slope, but when compared to the Lexington course, the Concord course has easier green complexes. That allows a chance to make more mid-length putts.

I think another thing that made the Concord course a bit easier was the dormant rough. I got some great lies in the rough on the Concord course because it wasn't overseeded and could cleanly contact the ball. That was the most noticeable difference between the two courses when it came to the conditions, but I'd give the edge to the Concord course in all the other areas. The greens were more receptive and had fewer ball marks while still rolling just as speedy and smooth as Lexington. The tees were fuller and flatter on the Concord course while the fairways were fuller too. There were still plenty of divots, but it appears the Concord course gets less play.

Revere offers two mid-level courses with some nice views and you shouldn't be disappointed with either. I'd rank them about even because I enjoy how playable the Concord course is and it was in better shape. However, the Lexington course has the views and the desert experience.

Played here Friday, 1/15 with sixpez and rob1563. We had an 8:35 tee time but there was a frost delay that prevented us from teeing off until almost 9:00. The friendly starter from Lexington on Wednesday was working Concord on Friday and sent us on our way. POP was pretty good and we finished around 1:00.

Conditions are very similar to Lexington, except the rough is dormant on Concord, giving it a very striking look. Fairways were in good condition. Rough is dormant and usually easy to play from. Greens are brown but medium-fast and smooth. They accept full shots well but will run out on chips and less than full shots. Tee boxes were good. Bunkers were good except they had some rocks.

I'd always heard that Concord was the lesser of the two Revere courses, but sixpez and I agreed Concord is every bit as engaging as Lexington. I thought it was great and really enjoyed it. I also feel it's more consistent to its design aesthetic throughout than Lexington. I'd be happy to return to either of these courses.

Played on Friday, 1/15, joining GK'ers Sixpez and Itslikeimsayin on their Vegas trip. Lucky for me, a frost delay pushed our tee time back as I showed up right when we should of gone, due to a 90 minute drive across town thanks to a freeway closure. Check in was fast and easy, and we were sent out as soon as we checked in with the starter. Customer service was fine. Bag loaded on the cart, drink cart around about 4 times, and starter was quick and trying to keep us on pace. We finished in 4 hours, never really seeing the group ahead or behind us. Weather was weird, cold at the start, HAIL on hole 5, and sunny and warm the rest of the way with a slight breeze. Conditions were pretty good considering the colder than usual winter, but more rain than normal. Tee boxes were mostly level, a few were placed at the front of the box, leaving a natural downhill lie. Fairways had filled in and had great lies, very few brown/thin areas, but some soggy areas from watering. Rough was dormant Bermuda, which reminded by of hitting from Kikuyu, grabbing the club and causing some fat/flobbed shots, especially around the greens. Bunkers were OK, and typical of the desert. About 1 inch of fluff followed by hard packed solid sand. While the greens looked brown, I found they rolled pretty smooth with a few unrepaired ball marks. I thought they rolled fast. My only real complaint is the $59 resident fee (which I felt about 10% better after learning the single who joined us paid $50 as an Anthem resident). Just thought it was a bit high (by about $15-20). In comparison, Paiute local rates are $60 right now, just not the same. Overall, I thought Concord delivered. We played from the Gold tees, while I normally play Silver (6500 vs 6000 yards), and found I shot a comparably score (2 shots over average). If not for the distance (and cost), I would probably play here more. I tried not to politic during the round about Lexington vs Concord, but I love Concord so much more than Lexington. Lexington stands up nicely on it's on, but I prefer Concord. Both courses wind through a residential area, but the houses are out of the way (unless you slice one 100 yards *cough cough*) and the views on the back 9 are great.

We were back at The Revere on Friday to cash in another GK twosome voucher before it expired at the end of the month. We had an 8:35 tee time, but there was a slight frost delay. Fortunately the early morning tee sheet wasn't too stacked, so they were able to condense and shuffle things around for an 8:30 start of play. Local GK'er Rob1563 braved traffic and came out to join us for the round, which was awesome. We were paired with another single, teeing off a little before 9:00. The groups ahead were quicker and we pushed much, so we enjoyed our own relaxed pace of just over 4 hours.

The conditions on Concord were on par with those of Lexington on Wednesday. The only difference was the rough. They leave it dormant here, so the visual lines are a bit sharper on this course right now. Otherwise, the tee boxes were fine and the fairways were good overall. The greens here were a similar ugly brown, but played fine. Maybe a tad softer than those on Lexington, but rolling smooth at medium speeds. Bunkers good.

This was my first time playing the Concord course and I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone seems to put down this course compared to Lexington as if it's really plain, but I think it's a close call between the two courses for me personally. Concord provides more dramatic changes in elevation and has a different feel with pine trees lining most holes along with the native desert areas. You don't get the city views, but you get a really fun layout. It's probably an easier course than Lexington, but still provides ample challenge and a nice variety of hole designs. I am not sure why there seems to be such a disparity in opinion, but Concord was way cooler than expected. I'd easily recommend either course to someone visiting from out of town and looking for a distinctive desert course.
