Played in the late afternoon on Thursday, 5/22/08, on a mild sunny day with little wind - a great day for golf in Vegas. Course is out of the way SE of town and was not crowded. Greens were mostly firm and rolled true with medium/fast speed. Fairways played firm and fast, minimal rough that was almost shaggy fairway. Course was in very good condition, doesn't play long, and is pretty wide open - great for a relaxed round. Friendly staff and cart girl came by often until 6PM. Recommended.

This course was fantastic! It definately goes in my top 3 of the courses I have played. My wife and I played on Friday (3/14) and got hooked up with a couple of guys from Albuquerque. We went off on the back 9 . . there was a little wind, which played a factor for about 4-5 holes, but then it died down and the day was beautiful. This course is not overly long, but it definately makes you plan your next shot while making the current one. Not exactly a "grip it and rip it" course. There were several par 4's that were in the low 300's as far as yardage. There is water in play on several of the holes, the 9th and 18th having carries to the green over water on your approach shots. I played this course in large part because of designer Ted Robinson recently passing away, so I wanted to get to it before it gets "remodeled" as so many courses seem to. It's the first Robinson course I've played and the man was brilliant in creating optical illusions with his holes. Holes that played 350 looked 425 . . holes that played 125 looked 165. The greens were as good as any I've ever putted on. They held approach shots and rolled very true. Yes, there were some tiered greens, so the read was the tricky part, the ball went where you hit it. If there were anything to "nit pick" it would be only that the range was using mats, and the pro shop/clubhouse is pretty spartan in its appearance. The staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating. Even though it wasn't that hot out (mid 70's) the cart girl was by every 3-4 holes. This course has claimed a spot on my "absolutely must play this course again while in LV" list.

Played Tuscany on Saturday, Sept. 22. The course was in bad condition for the amount of money I paid. You could not tell the rough from the fairway. A guy in our foursome hit a ball in the middle of the fairway and lost it. If you are a local and get local rates this would be worth it, but not the 115 I paid. The staff was nice and like a previous review the cart girl came by many times. Maybe she wanted us to get drunk and forget the condition of the course. Would I go there again, not for 115, maybe 50.

Played 9/19 at 10:30 in the morning. Our foursome took 5:35 hrs. but it was cart path only and we were in no rush due to there was no one behind for a couple of holes. They had just re-opened and everything was coming in real nice. The staff was very cordial and the cart girl came around quite a few times.Give the bare spots another week and everything would be nice.

I should have read my 2 prior reviews of this course before deciding to give it another shot here. The greens are TERRIBLE. Half of them are just dirt. Spend your money somewhere else when in Las Vegas.

I played here 7/15/07 and it was my first time. The first hole was a temp green which kind of stinks, thereafter we encountered 2 more greens out of commission. Overall the course was in pretty good shape, not too long, not too overly challenging. I would recommend others to play and plan to go back in the future. It was very cheap, for locals on the weekend after 10am $30 but don't know how long that will last...unbelievable view of the Las Vegas Strip if that is what your into!!

Played in the late afternoon/evening on 6/21/2007 on a very hot, windless day. This is an open, resort-style course without a lot of trouble if you hit the ball fairly straight. Not much elevation change or water to worry about. Course was almost deserted due to heat and location, but was in fairly good condition. Greens were dry and fairly firm on the back, softer on the front after recent aeration, and a couple had large sod patches. We were told two greens were scheduled to be torn out and rebuilt soon. All the greens rolled well. No cart girl and very little water on the course – we got parched. For the time being, poor housing market in Vegas has pretty much stopped home construction around the course, but plenty of vacant lots will be built on in the future. Overall pleasant surroundings and good course conditions at a twilight price made for a relaxing, low stress round of golf.

A great day of golf for a group of guys! Really enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Course plays very fair. Greens had some barespots and sand a bit too firm, but otherwise the course was in super shape. All staff were very friendly and helpful, from the guys in the pro shop, to the rangers, to the beer girls. Very quiet and relaxing setting with great scenery. Has to be one of the best value courses in Vegas!

Very disappointed in course conditions. Played here 02/19/2007. Greens were in very POOR shape with many bare spots. Fairways were decent but rough, tee boxes and traps were below average. Definitely not worth the $100+ green fee. What has happened to this place?

Considering it was a fairly new course, I would definitely play again. As a matter of fact, my friends insisted that we play this course again. Course is in excellent condition and the weather was perfect (70 degrees)

The greens are fine. The course layout is great. Weekend play is very, very slow. Nice discounts if you buy the players card.

Course is just coming back from overseeding so the rough and fairways are cut higher thank normal, and there are still some bare patches. The greens ran surprisingly fast for this time of year. I would expect the course to be in great shape in about a month.

Tuscany GC is one of my favorite stops in Las Vegas, however, this time around is not a good time to rate this golf course as they are getting ready to reseed the entire course. But, anyway, the greens were very slow, but not bumpy. The fairways and rough were almost down to bald, and very dry, you will literally add 30-40 yards for distance as there are no grass to hold the ball or slow it down. The play is OK as it made the round an easier course to get close to the green. This type of course lay out was put to a test with these conditions... In November, this course will be rockin! Service remains good to great. Keep this course in mind.
Thanks,
_n.

Thought they had a fire! Burnt and bare fairways. I know they're getting ready for overseeding 9-5-06 but conditions were awful. Played 8-18-06

Played here 8/17/06. The course was in TERRIBLE SHAPE! Fairways and rough were totally brown (overseed isn't for another month so that cannot be used as an excuse). Greens and tee boxes were at least playable. What was even worse is that I called the pro shop prior to going out and was told the course was in "great shape." Yeah right. Don't know if I will ever return.

8/3/06 twilight rate. Course is burned up, heat wave over last month temps got up to 122 and they lost all the fairways and rough. The greens are still alive and not too bad but everything is is brown dead grass and bare spots. Also keep in mind it is always a little hotter as you get toward lake mead, maybe 5 to 10 degrees above vegas. Will try again in the fall

POP was 4 hrs with a foursome; we played on 2-24-06. Staff was very courteous. Course was in great condition. Course is challenging for beginning-intermediate players. Yardage markers are located on sprinkler heads and cart paths. Cart girl was friendly and prices were not overly priced. Great deal for a better than average course which requires good shot execution.

Played 2/8/06 in the afternoon on a warm, sunny day with little wind. The course is currently undergoing a lot of home construction throughout, so there was a lot of visual disturbance around the course, although the work was never really intrusive for players. Current housing didn’t ever seem to constrict the playing area, but many of the pads adjacent to the holes are not built on yet, so in the future could become less open. Typical Ted Robinson resort-style course with generous fairways, waterfalls and lake features, and bunkering defining hole margins and green areas without being penal. Overall good condition, with some thin or bare spots on a few greens. Plenty of sand in the bunkers (not always the case in the Vegas area). Not overly long, even from the “blue” tees (green here). Course is 3 years old, but no hole info on their website, no yardage book, and no GPS, so if you want to know how far you need to hit it to fly the bunker off the tee, you’re on your own. Once into the holes, sprinkler heads and cart paths were well-marked with yardages, and each hole has 150 yard rocks along the fairway. Cart girl came by a few times. Generally a good bargain in the Vegas area ($55 weekday afternoon for locals), but the course itself isn’t up to the quality of many others in the area. Recommended for a relaxing round on a course in good condition.

A good quality course. Great playability. Good greens, the greens putts true and smooth. Generous fairways that are cut neat and short-- good roll on it. Lots of Fun to play it! But I don't understand... $125 for rates... Why do people wanna play GOLF in JEANS??? Why do courses allow it???

Course seems to be fairly new, and fairways and greens were a bit thin, but in time it will be one of the best courses in Las Vegas area. Service of staff was great, and the starter and outside service staff were most helpful. Will be back

I play Tuscany Golf Club every other month. I'd say it's my home course. The postings on this page are accurate. It is a challenging course with some surprisingly good views. Very well designed. I always get good service and have a good time. Played last week and as usual was impressed with the playing conditions and pace of play. Great value for local and out-of-towners.

Course was in horrible shape, no grass anywhere and hard as rock. Of course , we played the day before they closed for overseeding so i would expect nothing else. Loved the layout and variety of holes, however for a first timer, hole maps would've been extremely helpfull. Service was 10 plus for all employees, but can't rate rest of course due to conditions.

I would suggest this course for all types of players, enough length and trouble for low handicaps, but not too punishing to higher handicap players. 18 is a great finishing hole.

BEST DEAL IN VEGAS FOR OUT OF TOWNERS/$55.00-FRIDAY.
THIS COURSE WAS A BIT HARD TO FIND BECAUSE OF THE NEW DEVELOPMENT, SO LEAVE EARLY TO FIND IT. YOU ALSO GET FREE RANGE BALL WITH GREEN FEES.
THE COURSE IS KEPT UP TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD, THE FAIRWAYS AND ROUGH ARE WELL GROOMED AND VERY PLAYABLE NO TREES TO GET IN YOUR WAY, IT'S SEEMS LIKE A NEW CLUB, HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. THE FAIRS ARE PARRALLEL SO MIS HITS CAN BE RECOVERED FROM THE OTHER FAIRWAYS, I DID THAT A FEW TIMES. LAY OUT IS FUN AND CHALLANGING, THIS WILL TEST ALL SKIL LEVELS, YOU WILL USE ALL YOUR CLUBS ON THIS COURSE BECUASE OF THE VARIETY OF THE LAY OUT, HITTING LONG, LAYING UP, AND PUNCHING OUT INTO POSITION. THIS WAS A VERY ENJOYABLE ROUND OF GOLF.

Really nice course. Very nice layout. Some nice views of the Strip (if it's not too hazy). Course is challenging but fair. The wind can really pick up in the afternoon. A great bargain for golf in Vegas. It can be a little tricky to find your way into the parking lot since they are still building the surrounding area. All in all a great course, especially in Las Vegas.

Tuscany is a great designed course with good plyability. The greens were very slow when we played it and the bunker sand quality, although it was consistent, was heavy and wet most of the time around the greens. I hope to play and come back to Tuscany during its time when their greens are faster or needless to say at their best.

I played Tuscany last month. Fun but not too difficult layout with a good mixture of easy and tough holes. The conditioning of the course was very impressive for the price. Nice greens, lush fairways, well kept tee boxes. Booked online through their website and it only costs $55 on a Saturday morning. Only drawback was the lack of a clubhouse although the trailer setup they have was better then most I’ve seen.
