first out AM thursday,,this track is in wonderful shape right now, $39 till end of Sept is a steal for this course in this area. Greens ,tee boxes, fairways and even traps were just great. A fun layout. some holes are kinda easy then wham you have to hit a great shot if you want to score. fun par 3s and tricky par 5s. When in the Palm Springs area I will always choose Eagle Falls first for all the above reasons. Will return as soon as wife saves enough to return to Fantasy Springs. If you can stand a little high temp golf this is the place right now.

Got a 7:20am tee time for Sat (8/30) and couldn't believe the course was empty. It's is in great condition and it's a great bargain at the current summer rates. Looking forward to another round out there.

Played Labor Day weekend for $49 which includes cart w/ GPS, ranges balls and all the bottled water you can drink. This track beat me up pretty good but I still enjoyed the day and will be back.

The layout is interesting and challenging. Fairways have lots of bunkers, lots of hills, and are bordered by native areas with tall grass/shrubs. You must be accurate off the tee because errant tee shots into the native areas are trouble (I lost 4 balls today and usually don't lose more than 1). Even if you land your shot in the middle of the fairway you could have an uphill or downhill lie. Water comes into play on many holes with a couple of very nice fountains.

Eagle falls is in great shape from tee to green. Greens are very firm, medium speed, but very well maintained with almost no bare spots or divot damage. The sandtraps are high quality and also in great shape.

The staff are courteous, the cartgirl came around 4 times, and the Ranger kept a good pace of play while being friendly.

I highly recommend Eagle Falls which is located next to Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio. Rates are $39 on weekdays until October.

Played 7-26, first time at this course and found it to be an outstanding course. Staff and course was great. People were very polite and frendly. The course played in the 4 hour time frame and was a very enjoyable round. Greens were a little slow, but they have to keep them wet in the heat. It was 106 degrees but the breeze kept it quite bearable. All in all it was well worthe the green fee and the drive.

Played in mid-June in 113 heat in a tournament the teed off at noon. Not smart. This course can bake you. However, as of mid June, the course was still perfect. Greens were great, fairways perfect, tee areas flat. I imagine this course in the peak is unbelievably nice.

First out (7:00) on 4/10/08 and we loved this course. Greens were smoth and ran about 10 to 10.5. You must hit the ball down the fairway or you are in trouble. We will be back soon!

Made a long trek out to indio to play here. Have been playing in the desert for 20+ years, but have not played here before, and didn't know what to expect. WOW!!! Unbelievable layout. I absolutely loved the golf course. Not too hard, not too easy, but can play tough if the wind kicks up, which it did. Native areas off the tee grab balls as the long fescue grass swallows them up, good luck finding your ball. If you do find it, even better luck trying to hit out of it. This place is in 100% stellar condition right now. The greens are hard, tight and fast. Absolutely pure. Best greens I've putted on in quite some time. Tees and fairways are really good. Not really any rough around here, doesn't need any. Love the cloth seats in the carts. Sweet. Only "complaint" is that 2 of the par 5's play only 480ish from the tips.

Eagle Falls, you guys are awesome. I wish you were right down the street, I'd be there everyday....

played on 9/29 and i was intimidated by the first few holes. if you are not in the fairway, then you've got a lost ball. this must be what its like playing in Scotland. the "rough" is that really long fescue type grass. i think i lost 5-6 balls on the front nine. lots of traps, very challenging layout. the people are nice, the carts are top of the line, very fancy GPS. just bring lots of balls!!!

9/24 early tee time, staff was great, greens are back to very good,,fairways are a mess, some dirt areas, heat got to them. They will be closed for awhile for overseeding and repairs,, I wish them good luck. I really like this track, I hope they can get it up to high standards. Stay away for a month or so. When in good shape this is a fun test.

Played on 8/11/07. Turns out that they punched the greens but were nice enough to knock $10 off the green fee. Might want to wait at least 2 - 3 weeks before heading over there to play. Golf course is very enjoyable to play and is a challenge to any level of player. Had plenty of birdie opportunities but anable to convert because of the greens being sandy and bumpy. I will return once the course gets back in shape. Staff was very friendly.

Teed off 6:30 today.the heat is making conditions difficult. Some areas are brown, some greens are a bit thin, rough is up and tough, but with all those little problems this is still a great place to spend the day. For the $ and all you get and a terrific pace of play its a very good deal. Greens rolled true, med fast and held shots. No holes were visible from the punched greens, but they are not lush. Some fairway areas are brown, just move the %$#^& ball a few inches to grass and off you go. I was in a couple bunkers and found them perfect, not sure what the previous posting was about, or maybe they fixed the problem. I am planning to return soon. $$$ go up after August.

This course was just punched for aerating, would of been nice if they gave me a heads up on the phone. The staff was friendly and they give ya free water/tees and divot fixers.

Well let me start off by saying the staff was very friendly. The course was just punch to aerate, wish I knew that going in and my bad for not asking. Greens were hard as a rock and very bouncy due to the holes. Fairways had tons of bare spots and the bunkers that I was in were in very bad shape. Some were hard others were like hitting out of kitty litter (I am assuming, lol) The lay-out of this course was very nice and had some very nice looking holes. Maybe in a month or two this course will be in great shape.

What an amazing course. One of the best in the Palm Springs area. The practice facility was excellent. The driving range was off grass. Balls are included with the green fee. Chipping area and putting greens were very nice.

The course itself was awesome. Not a course for the weak of heart. The course is very challenging from the tips. The course has a good variety of elevation changes and shot shaping possibilies. Fairways are narrow to average in width. Tee shots require good placement on every hole. Tee boxes, fairways, greens, and sand were in very good condition. Very few dry spots. Overall the course was very green and lush. Several beautiful water features. A true players layout.

This is a great course to play when in the PS area. Make sure to bring a good game or this course will eat you up. I strongly recommend this course and plan to play it again on my next visit to the PS area.

Played on Tuesday and Wed this week,, what a nice place to play summer Palm Springs golf. $40 right now and you get a pro type golf course. Was not busy, was in excellent shape. Greens look weird, but are almost perfect. Hold shots, roll med fast and are fun to putt. Fairways have a couple brown spots, but its hot and they were fixing them, I mean maybe 2 or 3 eight foot circles on some fairways, nothing to worry about. Ahhh the rough, reminds me of Empire Lakes, LOTS of room off the tee, if ya like driver on most holes this is the place. Some par 4s are drivable, not me but it is very possible. But if ya spray badly forgetaboutit,, its gone, I lost 2 balls, but they were really bad tee shots, never wanted to see those again anyway. Staff was great. Carts are almost like the private ones ya buy, looking good and , are you ready? cloth seats and backs and chrome wheels. GPS was right on with my skycaddy. It can get windy, get an early tee time, I had no problem. All this for $40 ??? its not a hard course, maybe like Empire Lakes or maybe Primm, Lakes. A really great deal. I found a lot of locals playing there both for the conditions and the price. By the way this is a new facility, in back of Fantasy Springs Hotel, owned by the Indians, just a trailer right now, but one can be sure there will be a nice clubhouse soon. They load the cart with 4 waters and ice,no water on the course, so maybe bring some extra for the heat.

just opened 6 weeks ago. it is a pretty windy spot in the desert. the course is layed out mostly into and with the wind and a few crosswind holes. if the wind is gusting at the practice area, like it was for me, don't get discouraged. it acts and feels different on the course.
the beautiful "valley-like" rolling fairways, cuts the wind off or slows it down by the terrain change. BUT, if you send it high, the wind is still true to form up there.

the layout is really nice. it rolls very nicely with good terrain fluctuation creating nice foreshortening effects and really cool land sculpting. the "valley-like" effect is based on the sides of the fairway
dropping down into the middle.

the greens are overall fair but there are a couple of "doozy" spots.
ex: the 14th - if the pin is back left, like it was for me, you have to sink the put. i rolled it up the hill 12 feet to 3 inches right of the cup and OH YEAH, it rolled right back down to me. after making the putt then for bogey i had a blast watching the ball roll back down over and over.
and just to make it worse, the ball can't even rest above the hole.
so no matter what, you have to sink the putt or you are making the same putt, over and over, until it goes in. and even if you're 30 feet away, it's still gonna roll back down to 12 feet if you just miss it.

as for the really short, drivable par 4's on the back. if you don't drive them, it's a hazard. and if you try to be too safe on 15(266 from the middle tee) you are hitting an approach from the deepest fairway valley on the course.

overall, it's a challenging layout for it's length (4917-women, 5729-frontMEN, 6140-middle, 6715-back). and the green fees were fair.
$70. the service was great and the course was in great shape for a brand new trek.

no clubhouse yet but there's quick food, cart girls, complimentary
water on the cart cooler(also has club and ball washer on the cart),
range balls, towels, tees, GPS.

have a great round. i did.
