Tight golf course. Almost every hole has OB. Still a great course for the short and straight hitter. Everything from tee to green is kept up really well. Everyone should go and play this course.

I played in a charity tournament here on 5-12 and had a great time, until the rain started. The course condition has improved of late, but the tee boxes still need some serious work. But considering we were fed burgers before playing and a full dinner afterwards....the Shriners know how to put together a great time. I have to say, it's to bad whoever runs the golf side can't compete with the banquet people. Nice enough course....but a much better banquet!!

Played 4-10,and i have to say the greenskeeper here should get a raise! unbelievable how he fixed the fungus or whatever was taken over there.now they are a little bit slow since thay need to let them grow in, but a month before i thought this course was done for awhile.hey it's not for those big hitters especially if they can't keep'm straight but great course to work on your iron game.i hardly use my driver here and like it here especially if i haven't played in awhile-helps short game and helps boost confidence for when you play the wide tracts.now if they can only get that gorgeous cart girl(Kate?) back!

Played on Saturday morning at 0654. Greens were in a lot better shape as compared to two months ago. Fairways are tight on some holes however this course allows for some mishots. Had a blast and will play again!

It seems like playing in the backyards of the houses that line every hole. The greens are terrible.

Read the notes about the "brown rings of fungus" on the greens - only noticed it on half, maybe 2/3 of them.
First time playing, really enjoyed it. Our twosome showed up about 20 mins ahead of our tee time and straight to the first box. Pace moved nicely, marshall was cool. I'll definitely be going back.

The marshall did mention that it seems every weekend there's a tourney of 40 people, guys playing $10/hole, hitting from the Blues and barely getting the ball 50 yards, but sounded like it's an afternoon thing. Just a heads-up ;)

Played the first week of March and was very disappointed in the condition of the greens. I have played here for years but been out of the area for the last couple. This course was always a jewel and kept in great condition but there is some kind of fungus or bug that has left dead rings on most if not all of the greens. Rest of the course was as remembered but really hard to get around the firm, tore up greens.

Played this course on Saturday 03/01. First time playing here, liked the course, liked the lay-out. Not a really hard course, but very enjoyable. The pace was excellent, never had to wait on any hole.
Only problem....BEWARE of the greens right now. They have a fungus on the greens right now, and it has created small blotchy areas all over the greens. Putting on this is tough....it causes the ball to dance around a bit. As soon as they get that fixed, i will definately be going back.

I played here in a tournament awhile back....what a mess. The young guys in the pro shop couldn't do anything right. The course conditions have gone to hell. From the tee boxes to the greens, it was all terrible. At least they appear to be working on repairing the course. Only good note was we had a banquet upstairs....only good workers at this place. Food was good and the service was very friendly and professional. If only the golf side cared as much and worked so hard. I wouldn't advise bringing a tournament here.

Course has not been kept up to it's excellent standards as in the past. Teeing areas are terrible fairways are bare and dead in many spots and the greens are just average. This course has gone downhill in my estimation in the last 3 or four years.

Sorry to say this course has gotten away from them. 1st the greens were punched 2 weeks ago and are still rough and hard. Ball does not stick. bare spots on some greens. 2nd fairways they overseeded and then it looks like they forgot to water. The fairways are growingvery slow and they have you drive on the sides of the fairway. Now there are dirt cart pathes on both sides of the holes. it appears they have been driving this area for some time. Working on course in min. at best. fallen tree limbs all over and the only workers I saw were cutting limbs off of 2 trees. Needs alot of work. Grass is scimpy at best. Not worth the $$$ charged. TREE roots are the norm everywhere. Needs a grounds keeper to get some work done.

Played today Mon 11/01, 7AM tee time. Reception desk was friendly, got out on time, followed a slow 3some but managed to finish in 4 hrs. The course is in decent shape, although they had aerated the greens. Tee boxes were OK, some divots and uneven. Fairways recently cut, and ball ran well, good carpet with some dry spots, and some areas with dirt showing, and some unfilled divots. Rough was about 2 inches, also with some bad spots but playable. The greens were for the most part med fast, some bumps due to aeration, were being cut as we played but maintenance crew was two holes ahead of us, some clippings had not been blown off so we had to sweep them off with a towel. Some ball marks but not excesive. $30 senior rate, good deal. Would rate the course about a 5.5, the coffee shop/restaurant were not open when we played, don't know if they open up later.

Wow! What has happened to this course? The lack of course and staff management is so painfully obvious that the owners should be ashamed of how they are allowing this facility to turn into a poorly run, customer disservice unplayable dog track. 2-3 years ago UHCC was a pleasure to play with above average, well defined fairways, smooth manicured greens, and a medium long rough that was properly mowed. Sorry to say the course we played, on Friday September 1, 2007, was quite disappointing and a mere shadow of this once fine little gem of a course.

Let’s start with the Pro shop; in a word, decimated. You can tell when the management has gone “cheap” by the number of hand drawn felt tip signs around. There was very little in the way of merchandise. Not a single set of clubs for sale, just a plastic trash can of “Used Clubs” for 5$. With only a single staff member behind the counter I didn’t expect much in the way of pleasantries, and believe me I wasn’t disappointed. There was no starter at the first tee so you just kind of go when ready. The tee boxes are severely under maintained. They are so “chewed” up and bare in places that it was difficult to find a patch of grass to place a tee. The fairways, for the most part are quite thin where you would expect turf with a lot of bare spots and hard pan in the fairways. There used to be a well defined second cut but that has all but disappeared. The bunkers seem to have a thin layer of sand and mostly rocks and dirt underneath. The greens at Upland Hills used to be its’ pride and joy. Smooth, soft and always well maintained, season to season. Now they are slow, furry, bumpy and poorly mowed. The water level in the few “lakes” is low, very dirty, full of algae and smelly. I’m sure the mosquitoes are having a field day. Speaking of water, you’d better plenty of your own. There are only three 10 gallon jugs of water for the entire 18 holes! 7, 11 and 14. Now that’s chintzy. It was hot and humid when we played so the lack of water was amplified.

The restaurant and beverage staff is always pleasant and professional. But I do feel bad for them because management is unwilling to pay the few shekels per transaction to allow a tip to be added to the receipt. If you don’t carry cash be prepared to make your apology to the servers. Drink cart, cash only. I hope there is some cosmic reason this course has gone to the dark side other than short-sided management trying to squeeze an extra buck. As a golfer my disappointment is evident, but it is the homeowners around Upland Hills Country Club that may have the most the lose. The course used to be a shining asset that if not properly cared for will most likely turn into a liability. And in this housing market that’s just another nail they most certainly can do without.

Played Upland Hills today 8/28/07 was pleaseantly surprised. I was told they have new management and it wasnt crowded. The greens were excellent, ball rolled very nice. Fairway were good and the rough is growing well. For the prcie it was very nice. they are using alot of water and it shows. There were a few dry spots, with the heat being turned on. I would play again

Played sunday 8/5, 9am tee time, 4 hr round. I've been playing golf in socal for 10 years now... and this is the first time out to upland hills. pleasantly surprised. not a busy course. buddy had a teetime for 2, and i just tagged along and they got us on no problem. not a long course, and narrow, as noted in previous reviews. houses on top of you. i had a good time. practice green next to #1 tee box was super slow, not indicative of the course!!! i blew my first putt uphill 10 ft past the hole. and alot of the tee boxes were shaggy. but for a last minute tee time for $50... i might play here again. :)

The greens are in good shape, the tee boxes need some upkeep, and there are bare spots in the fairways. The price is very reasonable. charge a little more and spend it on maintenance.

Found a discounted rate on internet...well worth the price. Saturday morning with a 9AM tee time, we were done in 3 hrs 20 mins!!! Greens are in good shape, the fairways are well taken cared of, tee boxes were a little beat up, sand traps were deep. Overall, this place is a fun place to play. Everyone was super nice and we'd play there agin.

First time playing at this course. Heard it was nice but narrow, it is true. $23 for Twilight play. Fairways were nice, most tee boxes ( some weren't leveled at all) greens were nice, with big surprising breaks. I slice my driver so I didn't use it, stuck to my 3wood since it is narrow and did fine. I'm an Upland resident now, so I'll be golfing here for the most part.

Have played here a few times lately and it's always in pretty good shape. There's usually not much of a crows though today, Saturday, there was one. But by the 5th hole it began to spread out a bit. A little over 4 hrs to play today. There were a few tee boxes that needed some work (not level, too many divots) but most were in good shape. It's a short and narrow course but if you hit it straight you'll be in good shape as the faurways are all in pretty good shape. The rough isn't too high either but there are a number of trees to cause problems if you stray. Bunkers looked to be in good shape too, fairly fluffy, but I don't really know for sure as I wasn't in any. Greens were in pretty good shape though most showed a fair amount of wear (quite a few old ball marks that were not repaired properly), but they didn't have any burn spots.

Saturday morning round. As good as this little course has ever looked! The greens were perfect....especially if you like "dartboard golf" - held all shots extremely well....all ball marks within a foot of the ball after impact. Feel free to fire at the flagsticks here! A little "moist" in some areas due to heavy watering of the fairways....but it's getting into Summer...I would not be surprised if Upland Hills ends up being one of the best conditioned courses for the rest of the year!

Oh...the BEST part? We were third-off the first tee at 6:15 A.M. The two twosomes which had joined together ahead of us saw us pressing them from the rear...and they very nicely let us play-through at the turn....and we finished 18-holes in THREE HOURS AND FIFTEEN MINUTES. I'll repeat that: 3:15!! On a Saturday!! Ladies and Gentlemen of Greenskeeper.org - please take NOTE!! It should take no longer that that to play this course!! I recall some five-hour torture sessions at Upland Hills a few years back....and there is no excuse for that!!

Went out as a last minute Friday idea...(5/18/07) - tee'd-off at 12:30 P.M. with no wait - paired with a nice fellow. As a twosome, we had no reason to complain about the slow play, so we hung around on every hole and practiced putts and short chips. We even had time to go back into the fairway and re-hit flubbed shots just for fun. Very relaxing - no pressure from the group behind us - if there even was one! Finished in 4.0 hours (4:30 P.M.)

The fairways were certainly not what I would call "lush' - but there was good coverage and no bare spots. A little tight for my tastes - but - some spots were better than others. Plenty of roll for a low tee shot. The greens were beautiful and medium to slow...and they held most shots well.

I may just have to put Upland Hills CC back in my rotation. A very enjoyable track!

Played here 03/05/07. Showed up at 1:10 PM and went out immediately. Hooked up with another twosome on the first tee and we breezed through 18 in just over 3 hours. Greens were in very good shape. Fairways, traps and tee boxes were average. This course makes up for its lack of length with narrow fairways, numerous water hazards and plenty of trees. This place isn't Goose Creek or Oak Quarry but if you are looking for a quick round at the right price ($14 twilight to walk) you can't beat Upland Hills.

Played at Upland on 2/21. There was a light rain that morning. My tee time was 6:45. Didn't tee off until 7:30! Not because of a backup on No.1 tee, but because the guy who was supposed to open the pro shop decided not to cme to work! The starter was there and even staff from the catering department. GM finally came in to open the pro shop. Never apologized or offered any concession. They wouldn't allow any carts out due to the rain and so I walked. They only had one pull cart available and it was in serious disrepair. The only good thing was that there was no one else on the course! Hope they get their act together because Empire Lakes is always a great round of golf and sometimes you even get to go out before your scheduled tee time. Upland Hills needs to learn from Empire Lakes. Get a better staff!

Played front nine on 01/14/07. Course was decent shape considering the cold weather we have been through the past week. Greens were great. Fairways and tee boxes were decent. Tight course where you wont hit driver on all par 4's. I dont think I would ever pay $50 for this place but the $20-30 seems fair.

No just that got rained out ...only played 13 holes...for $96 bucks for two...never want to come back to this course again....nice little course for beginner not for advance player...

Response to slickdude: Upland Hills belies Mark Twain's observation that: Golf is a good walk spoiled. Flat, friendly, walkable and not over crowded. and the staff is very pleasant. Just a pleasant round of golf on a not particularly challenging course. And always in good condition.

Teed off right before 12 noon today as a twosome and finished in about 4.5 hrs...Tee boxes have recovered nicely from the recent overseeding and are in good condition and level for the most part...Greens are fast and putt true as usual...The carte girl drove by four or five times and does a great job...This is a fun course to play, as long as you can drive the ball straight and keep it in play, then you can go low and shoot a career round here with multiple birdie/eagle opportunities...Will be back next week!

the tee boxes are being fixed so that the course plays it's true length. the rough had moved in and we could not get the required two club lenghts behind the inground markers. The tees are looking much better now although a few need leveling. We are also on the skycaddy list to get a professional measurment so you can tell the distance to the bunkers, ditches, lakes, etc. Right now, we only have the greens measured by a member but it is still helpful. The bunkers are not what they should be. Because some of the bunkers are so deep with overhangs, it would be nice to get some better sand.

Upland is NOT a retirment place. It is a community with lots of people that go to work every day. More than half of California residents do not go to work so it may appears as if it was one since they have daily skins games for the regulars.

For those who would like to have a scga handicap, have monthly tournaments and other events, the mens club is only 80 dollars a year.

We would love to have you join up and participate in all our events.

Played 2 weeks ago and the first thing to note was the condition of the tee boxes as they were being overseeded and pretty much just dirt (cow manure). Aside from that, the course was in decent condition and I love the sand traps on this course (sand-wise). Teed off as a 2some again playing at 10:30 on a Sunday. We completed the round in under 4 hours. A nice way to spend your Sunday w/o wasting your whole day on the golf course. Hopefully the tee boxes have grown back by now.

The course is in good shape, fairways & tee boxes are okay, greens are a bit slow, but roll true. I tried using the tips from this web site, followed them to a tee,( used my 3 wood 8 times, only used the driver 6 times, tips on aproach shots were useful ) and had one of my best rounds of golf ever, ( 76). Thanks for the great tips.

Played Upland Hills Country Club on Friday, 9/1/06, and was extremely impressed with the overall condition of the golf course. The greens were great and the fairways and tee boxes were well maintained. My tee time was around 7 a.m. and to my great surprise, played by myself. I was following a twosome and another twosome was behind me. The round took 3.5 hours. It is a bit short but it has its challenges. Overall, a great course for the price. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back to play there again.

Things have gotten somewhat worse due to the heat over the past couple of weeks as the fairways are thinner than they have been in the past. There are more unrepaired ball marks on the greens than usual as well. Finished in 3hrs 45 mins and course is rather empty teeing off at 11:30 on a Sunday as a 3some??? There was a 2some & 3some in front of us and a 3some following us.

Considering the temperature it was actually not as hot as expected. Played on 7/15 and course was in similar conditions as last time. There appeared to be a few more wet spots in front of a couple greens due to them overwatering to keep things green in the heat. The green that had some problems on the back 9 (I think it's #11) has recoverd quite well. Always a treat to play this course and it is scorable if you can hit em straight. The greens do not break as much as you would think... take what you think and cut it in 1/2 and they tend to break AWAY from the mountains behind. If you can keep this in mind it will help your putting. The greens do hold shots exceptionally well but they tend to be on the slow side. Finished the round in 4 hours teeing off at 11:30 on a Saturday as a 3some????? We also had a 3some behind us. It's crazy to think that as good of a course as this is that in prime weekend time 3somes are teeing off. Maybe it's due to the length of the course as it does play short from the tips.

Played on Sat 5/27 & was surprised at the lack of body count at the course. The starter said it was due to the "fairweather" golfers that usually play the course. Finished in under 4 hours teeing off at 10:45 (1/2 hour early) as a 2some!!!??? Course is in rather stellar condition from tee to green although it was wet/mushy in some areas as there had been some rain earlier in the morning. Greens hold approach shots exceptionally well just remember that the ball will break away from the mountains. One green has some weeds of some sort growing through and the wind kicked up on the back 9 which made things a tad more challenging. The course is not long and can yield low scores due to the receptive conditions of the course. Hot dog/coke combo isn't bad either at the turn. Group in front of us had 2 dads & their boys who finally let us play thru after the 12th hole. Thanks guys!

Played this course on 5/17. Conditions were all great with the exception of the bunkers which were a little on the hard side. Greens are well taken care. As it got windy the greens rolled faster, so we had to adjust as we moved through the course. Fariways were lush and the rough was good. This course definitely has a private country club feel. Only drawback to this course is that it is a short course. You only need to bring your driver on 2-3 holes. While it lacks in distance it makes up in tightness. Accuracy is a must here because you have houses on left and right of you on all holes. All in all, its a good course and I will return to this course in the future.

Played on Wed, 5/10 using my GolfNow.com membership for only $15 including cart...Course in great conditions right now...Greens are rolling smoothly and putts true, about an 8 on the stimp meter...
Shot my career low round of 84 today with 3 birdies and 4 pars...(I'm a 21 handicap) Had a chance to break 80 but took a triple bogey on Hole #16.(Drove it OB) Oh well, still had lots of fun and won 13 skins, another career best...Guess my birthday came 3 days early...Best part about this course is it's not busy at all during mid week and midday...
Will be back!!!

played with a group of 25 old fellas on 4-20. leave your driver in the bag. you don't need it. easy walking course with very pleasant surroundings. price is right. course in very good condition. Belies Mark Twain's description of golf as "a pleasant walk spoiled.". no big challenges; good pace of play. just a very pleasant course with very pleasant staff.

Played on 4/10. The course is great shape right now. The greens are rolling very smooth though a little on the slow side. Fairways and tees were in good shape (one complaint...they were mowing the fairway on virtually every hole we had to play and the guy didn't move the mower out of the center of the fairway...very distracting). Pro Shop staff was friendly and the starter was very helpful. On a side note...they didn't have scorecards? How does a course run out of scorecards? They simply photocopied a bunch of scorecards on paper and handed those out.

Played on 3-30-06 using GolfNOW.com to save over 50%...Had a great time...Very good condition overall except for a few bunkers that had wet or dried up sand...The greens are NOT as fast as it used to be but still putts true...No real need to hit driver here on most holes since it's less than 6,000 yards from the tips...Course management is a must in order to score well here...All and all I love this course as a change of pace from the usual 7,000 plus courses and it does test your short game and putting so it's both challenging and fun to play here...

This course did NOT disappoint. Too bad they are aerating over the next couple weeks. From tee to green the course is in very well kept condition. The fairways and rough have great quality grass and they allow for your ball to sit up nicely. The greens held approach shots well. Fairways were not too narrow and the length of the course favors short hitters as it is not very long from the tips. There was quite a bit of water on the course but only comes into play if you hit a really bad shot. It's usually tucked off on the side of the fairway. There was one green that was being attacked by some weed that the local resident we played with said it would cost $40G's to repair the green but other than that I loved the course. It's not too scenic and has the Palm Springs feeling to it with condos surrounding the holes and more old people than young playing. Do not let the "hills" name fool you either as this course is quite flat. Definitely a scorable course and I will be back!

Course condition was excellent, but we chose to play on a very cold day (Sun. 3/12) and about half the golf carts had battery failures. Ours started failing on the 11th hole, so we called the pro shop on the 12th tee and were told we were "second on the list for a replacement cart". We called back 2 more times and were snarled at by the man answering the phone. I realize it was a crisis of sorts. but at least tell us the truth so we know whether to just unload and carry it all in or what. We were pushing the cart towards the 16th green when a kid came driving by. We asked him for the cart and he also snarled, saying there were at least 5-6 others ahead of us "on the list". I said we had been pushing the d%mn cart for 3 holes and had called 5 holes earlier. We got into a yelling match and I won, so we had a decent cart for the last 2.3 holes. It was fortunate, because the other cart in our foursome failed on the way to the 17th tee, and we had to use our new cart to push them into the clubhouse. I know cold weather is hard on cart batteries, but we also looked at the batteries in the two carts that failed and we saw 2 new batteries and 4 old ones (including burn marks on the cable connectors) so it was probably not all due to the bad weather. If I play the course again, I would take my push cart and not raise my blood pressure!!

Overall pretty good shape. If you play here, allow for a lot of break on the greens, they can be tricky. Pace can seem quite slow at times. A lot of novice golfers that don't seem to know proper etiquette. Still a pretty good track.

Played NY eve and the course was in great shape. No one there, (it was a little wet). Greens were in super condition. Putted nice and true, with good speed. Great place for the money. Not long, but really makes you think about your game. You can shoot low if you play smart.

Hadn't played here since 1989. Didn'trecall the course very well and after playing it I know why. While there is nothing wrong with the course, it is very redudant. Felt like I had played the hole before every time I stepped to the tee. Greens were nice, fairways ok. It had a "Palm Springs" feel to the course without the heat of cost. I short, simple, fun little course. great for seniors and short hitters.

The course is in great shape. The greens were in great shape, I am surprised that there are no ball marks. People here actually fix the damage as they play, unlike some of the other courses. Pace of play is quick, right at 4 hrs on a mid week twi-lite round.

Great hidden course that will tease you with it's shortness, but be careful. Fun place with a nice staff. Course is in very good condition, and pace of play was what we wanted. Walkable if you wish, but be aware, alot of distance between some tees. Overall a great value for the money.

well, the new owners have started breathing some life back into upland hills. greens are in good shape, and the brown spots are slowly disappearing. tee boxes should be next on the list. heard rumors that a driving range is in the works, and they're going to try and add some length to the layout. welcome back upland hills.

lately, the upkeep has been dwindling at this usually well-kept locale. prior to the recent change of ownership american golf decided to cut-back nearly all maintenance, and subsequently the course has paid the price. brown spots all over the fairways, tee boxes are destroyed, and many of the greens are diseased. hopefully the new ownership will restore this once plush track to its previous glory of being the best-kept secret in the IE.

Played March 19th. It rained most of the day. The course was in good shape with nice greens. It is definitely a ball strikes course with accuracy a must. It is kind of short so if you like to "grip it and rip it" you won't enjoy the layout.

Great home course! For the price, especially the T/ ST rates, its a great little diddy. Learned to play on this course, and still make it out here once every other month. Because of the location of the homes on the holes, you really focus on accuracy and ball placement, instead of just killing your tee shots. With all the trees lining the rough, you also get to pull out your trick shots if you happen to end up here. The par 3's on the course are just tricky enough for "closest to the pin" bets, worth putting big stakes on. If your looking to get some cold ones at the snack bar before the back niner, think again. They banged me $18 for a six pack. I suggest bringing your own cooler for that price. The green's are great, and fairways kept up nicely. Overall a great course for the price. Remember to fix your divots and ball markings! Keep the courses beautiful for all to play.

Definitly no Country Club here. But with that said, Upland Hills is a track that is narrow, but fair. Going low is no problem here, just need to be accurate off the tee.

Played 1/21/05, no problem getting on. Customer service very good, pace of play moved along just right. The course is in pretty good shape, the greens roll well, fairways lush, bunkers have good sand. A few tee boxes are not level but all in all a nice day to hit the links. Not a long track, but it's narrowness makes up for that.

Played in a scramble here on 11/5. Course was in very good shape, though the fairways were very soggy. Mind you this was before the rain on Sunday. Not much roll on drives. The greens were perfect. Receptive and fast, but not to. My only complaint was the time. Took over 6 hours. Bad set for the scramble, having eightsomes playing together. I am sure they wanted to maximize their useage that day, but at 70.00 per person you should have had one foresome to a tee, we had 20 groups, and with a 7:30 start, you could have still got groups off by 1:00 at the latest. But I still like this course, it is short, but tight. Lot's of risk and rewards i.e. driveable par fours, and both par 5's are reachable, at least for some, not me.

Good little course. Not very demanding, but a few water and sand hazards. Lots of houses and trees on each side of the fairway. You actually drive through gated communities to get from hole to hole.

Very enjoyable course and the pace of play is about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Played with a friend from GKeeper. THIS COURSE IS THE GEM OF THE FOOTHILLS, YOU CAN TELL THAT THE MANAGMENT CARES FOR THEIR GOLF COURSE. THE WHOLE COURSE IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION. THE FAIRWAYS ARE LUSH, BUT FIRM ENOUGH TO GET SOME EXTRA ROLL AND BOUCES. THE ROUGH, TRY TO STAY OUT OF IT, IT CAN EAT UP STROKES TO GET OUT. IT IS LONG (1-3) AND WET, SO IT WILL GRAB YOUR CLUB. YOU HAVE TO SWING AGGRESSIVE. THE SAND TRAPS HAVE GOOD SAND AND ENOUGH TO GET ON A GOOD SWING. THE GREENS WHERE ROLLING PRETTY TRUE AND ON A MED TO SLOW, SO YOU HAVE TO READ YOUR LINE AND GO FOR IT OR YOU WILL COME SHORT. THIS IS A RECOMMENDED COURSE TO PLAY, SCENIC AND ENJOYABLE.

I played on Sunday 4/18/04 and was pleased by the condition of this course. The green fees were $48.00 and worth it. The course is a little short (mens 5489, womens 5004), but you definitely needed to be straight off the tee. Narrow fairways and thick rough made this course challenging. Highly recommend this course.

Played Sunday afternoon 4/4. Course is short even from tips but rough growing high so if you miss the fairway it is trouble. Course in best shape I've seen it Some slow groups and no marshall to tell them to pick up. Greens are still relatively hard so low shots can take a big bounce and don't stop quickly.

It's built around a retirement community, so it's short length caters to its customers. The greens were very nice, running slower than normal in the morning but then picking up speed as the afternoon wind dried things out. The pollen was really bad out there. My playing partner couldn't even concentrate on playing, he was sneezing so much.

This course used to have the problem of having rock-hard greens. I'm glad to see that the last two times I've played it, that problem has been alleviated. This is a fairly open course, but if you're lulled by the small size of the holes and you lose your concentration, the course will bite you. Check for the location of the mountain on your putts. The greens are normally a joy to putt on. Some of the bunkers have nice size lips, and the sand is pretty good and uniform. Service was excellent this last time out. We started off slow on the first three holes, but a marshall really sped up one group that was a couple of holes ahead of us, and the rest of the day was smooth sailing. Beverage cart came by four times during the round, and the clubhouse personnel were very friendly. Will play again if I want a fun round, or want to take a beginner or high-handicap friend.

Great little course with lots of character. Narrow fairways, and decent rough for the winter. I am sure it is longer in the summer. Greens were great, fast and smooth but received a ball well. Enough water to make it intersting. Played in 3 hours and 15 minutes on a Saturday starting at 7:00. Guy behind the counter super nice. Play again anytime.

Only 4900 yds from forward tees. Good course for beginning lady golfers like myself who hit relatively straight but lack distance. Greens are not as simple as they look. Putts will roll away from mountains 99% of the time even though it may not look like it. Got a good deal on savesomegreen.com.

THE COURSE IS NICELY SET ALONG THE FOOTHILLS, SO THE SCENERY WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE TEE BOXES WERE A LITTLE MOIST,BUT PLAYABLE. THE FAIR WAYS WERE FIRM AND FAST, AND YOU GET ALOT OF ROLL. GREAT FOR THE EGOMANIC DRIVE/SMASH MONSTERS. ROUGH AND SAND TRAPS ARE WELL MAINTAINED. GREENS ARE VERY TRUE AND PLAYABLE FOR GOOD SCORES. STAFF IS VERY POLITE. ALITTLE SLOW FOR A WEEKDAY, BECAUSE TODAY WAS "LADY'S DAY" AND THERE WERE A FEW WALKERS, BUT PACE WAS FINE. I WILL PLAY THIS COURSE AGAIN. GOOD VALUE !

Built in a retirement community, this is a pretty short course for its residents. Only a couple of par 4s over 400 yards. Greens no longer seem as hard as they used to be, but I also played the day after the big Xmas storm. Course played pretty slow on the front, but opened up on the back. Conditions were pretty good, with light rough and nice greens that are receptive and on the fast side. Service was pretty good, with the beverage cart coming by three times. Pretty easy layout, with a couple of narrow holes, but not too much out there that will get you in trouble.
