Von Hagge added the Oceano nine in the '90s while Clifford created Lagos & Vista in the '70s.![]() |

I was aware that Von Hagge routed the Oceano Nine...which, as I've been told, is quite a stunner...but I haven't been inclined to make that drive in order to experience it first-hand. ![]() |

However, if this were just a So Cal ranking system, there is a good consensus of opinion. There are 8-10 courses that continually show up on different people's personal favorites list. I also find it interesting how some designers courses fit some of our eyes better than other designers courses. The same could be said for many of the better known designers. ![]() The goal has always been long and straight! But since I can no longer hit them long, hopefully straighter could be achieved more than occasionally? |

![]() ![]() ![]() Member Since: November 20, 2015 Favorite Golfer: N/A Favorite Golf Course: Pebble Beach ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thursday May 3, 2018 7:26 AM Royal Melbourne and Cenntenial Parklands golf courses in Australia are on my "return to" list of golf courses I didn't play. For whatever reason, during my cycling travels we ended up riding/racing around a lot of nice golf courses and now that I've traded out my Sidi's for FootJoy's I want to return to some of those beautiful locations and actually PLAY the courses. But, since as Nick mentioned, the world revolves around Southern California (sorry I couldn't resist) I have now included a great a So Cal course which easily moved into my favorite top 10 after playing it last week. Here are mine. 1. Pebble Beach 2. Spyglass Hill 3. Kapalua 4. Aviara 5. Indian Wells Celebrity 6. Ka’anapali – Ocean 7. Spanish Bay 8. Sandpiper (new T-10) 9. Ka’anapali – Mountain 10. Blackhorse ![]() |
