Played on Sun Aug 30. One of my most favorite courses. In excellent shape...as usual. My post today is about the exceptional staff. We got in 11 holes on the Ike when we noticed a column of smoke-very close by. Then the helicopters circling overhead. The marshall came out to let us know a golfer flicked a lit cigarette onto the brushy slope between holes 1 and 18. We were told to return to the clubhouse. The staff was great ! A gentleman that got to the front desk played 16 holes and was given a full rain check. We opted to start on 1 on the babe...and played all 18. Would a management company such as American Golf, Donovan or Eagle do the same?

Dave Youpa....you've got a great staff, both in the shop and maintaining two great courses.

Got out on Ike at 7:40 this morning and played in just over 4 hours. In excellent condition w/the back nine greens (#10 & 11 especially) on the mend from recent punching/sanding plus a few 'cart path only' holes. Just a great place to play a challenging round ... too bad my game was off a bit today. Can't say enough good things about the Ike.

Played the Ike yesterday after having my fill of the Babe and having to sleep on my stomach. Front nine is good. Back nine the greens are punched and sanded, curious as to why since they had the City Championship on Sunday. The Ike's fairways, bunkers and tee boxes are otherwise in great shape. Cart girl came around plenty of times. Good times here at Industry Hills. Staff was great and pace was a little slow for a Monday, but these courses are not easy so it's understandable.

Have not played at either of the courses since the renovation. We took advantage of the $50 Monday special, played the Ike on 7/13/09, and absolutely loved it. It is just as spectacular as before, and the pace of play was great. If it were not for the $50 special, it would have been difficult for me to fork out $100 to play there during the week. The clubhouse also had some nice remodeling. However, I found the food in the restaurant downstairs very expensive for lunch. It is actually fine dining, which I believe inappropriate for golfers coming off the course wanting something to eat. We laughed when the waiter brought out the Caesar Salad ordered by one of our guys. I think he left hungry!! I am a small eater, but I think I could have eaten two of those. Before the renovation, food prices were quite reasonable. Next time I think I'll order something from the snack bar outside.

Really a wonderful layout in fantastic shape. Lots of shot variety but relatively little of the risk/reward nature - the course tells you what to hit and if you do par is easy. Greens are large and heavily contoured. Select tees as far back as you dare - if you're in the fairway you'll get plenty of roll. Pace of play on Tuesday was VERY slow but the place is so pleasant I hardly minded. Weird $5/hour charge for the chipping area and the range is off mats, otherwise little to criticize. Easy to walk except very hilly and it must be half a mile from 9 to 10, so I'd advise riding. Senior rates for 50 and older - I paid $75 and thought it a great value.

Played Monday, $50, everything very beautiful, a great test of golf, staff was as usual very professional. This is about as close to a private club your gonna get for a great price. Greens looked perfect, but were SLOOOOW, very unusual for this great golf course. We will return.

I played this course on 4/22/09 as a part of a shotgun tournament. Obviously, I can't comment on the pace of play, but I have to say the course itself was in the BEST shape I have ever seen. It was in an absolute immaculate shape, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, trees and surroundings and the greens. I have played Ike and Babe probably 100+ times, and I don't recall the courses being in such a well put together shape. It has a locker room where you can change, great restraurants and snack shack, shuttle to take you from car to the pro shop, newly renovated driving range - all the quality of a high end golf resort. I highly recommend trying out this track.
