Playing for the first time in Vegas, was a blast Angel Park was a nice course to play at. All the staff was very helpful and courteous. Walked on with my best friend, played the Palm course, everything was top notch. Fairways were nice, greens were in good shape. Got alittle windy but still played ok, I hit the ball very well that day, Oh ya by the way, I beat my best friend. Will play there again.

Played on 4/15/08 - Staff was very helpful and friendly as I was a single playing golf while my wife gambled back at the hotel - very windy but course was still very playable with lots of room in most spots. Greens and most fairways not as tougly defended as the Mountain course but not a pushover either - greens in very good shape and very fast. Pace of play was pretty good - finished under 5 hours (which by current standards seems pretty fast!). Usually make it a point to play at least one round at this course every time I hit Vegas (we find the nearby Suncoast very nice and relatively inexpensive).

As this last post stated, the most recent review was Oct 1, right after overseeding. As with all courses in this region, conditions out of overseeding typically aren't optimal (greens are slower, course is wetter, turf is thin). Therefore, we would like to welcome any of you on Greenskeeper.org to post a more recent review of the Palm Course at Angel Park, as we are confident that current reviews of the conditions will be notably better than the overseeding postings.

Also, if you haven't played Angel Park Golf Club in a while or their sister course, The Legacy Golf Club, you should be pleasantly surprised by the results of a renovation project designed to remove turf from the out of play areas, decrease water consumption and give the golf courses a "new look"...ie they now have a presentation like a modern golf course redesign. So if you haven't played them in a while, check them out (you can book on-line at www.angelpark.com or www.thelegacygc.com) and post your review on www.greenskeeper.org

See you in Vegas.

IT IS HARD TO GIVE IT A FAIR EVALUATION, BECAUSE THEY JUST OPENED THE COURSE THREE DAYS AGO FROM OVER-SEEDING, BUT SINCE I PLAYED IT I WILL GIVE AN OPINION.
tHE OVERALL COURSE IS BEUATIFUL. IN TWO TO THREE WEEKS THIS COURSE WILL BE IMMACULATE.
BUT, AS OF TODAY, THE GREENS ARE THE TOUGHEST TO ADJUST TO, SSSLLLLOOWWWWW.
EVERYTHING IS IS GREAT THE SURROUNDINGS AND THE OVER-ALL COURSE DESIGN AND LAYOUT.
HAVE FUN, SEE YOU IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS

Played the Palm course at Angel Park last Saturday. Really enjoyed the play. Greens were a little fast and breaks were deceiving. Only added for more challenging play. Shot a 110 due to unrelenting 3-puts, Arrgh!!

Played 11-3-06. The Palm course was in pretty good shape for this time of the year. The price was right and it was a beautiful day to play. We had some slow players in front of us, but it was still fun. Keep up the course in it's current condition and things will be great.

Played 2/25/2006 on a perfect afternoon with only light breezes. The Angel Park complex (2 courses, putting course, par 3 course) advertises itself as “Best of Las Vegas” and “the world’s most complete golf experience”, so condition and operation on the Palm course were a big disappointment. Starter was overwhelmed with dealing with all the ongoing activities and had to be repeatedly queried as to when we could go to the tee, and he still almost missed us. A big group of golfers was apparently late, so everyone was bumped! Under perfect conditions, no excuse for being 30 minutes late starting (so we barely finished in total darkness). Fairways were in OK condition, but greens were stone hard and wouldn’t hold any shots, and many had large bare areas that had been partly hidden with green top-dressing. The Palm course is shoe-horned into a pretty small area, so tees, greens, ands fairways are always in close proximity – talking on any tee can distract those putting on adjacent greens. Cart girl came by a couple times – snack bar closed down at ~4PM. In this condition, many better choices in the Vegas area. Good food and service at the restaurant for lunch, however.

Played this course for the first time on Sat., Jan. 14th. It is a fun course to play, but not too difficult for the longer hitters. Greens were tough to read especially from above the hole. All of the greens were brown due to the cold nights. There is really not much they can do about that until Spring. Putts tended to wander whatever direction the grass had died. Even though I changed to a softer ball mid round it was almost impossible to get any iron shot to hold. I've seen softer pool tables. However, it was a nice day of golf playing with my friends. I am not sure I would pay what they are asking given the quality of some of the courses that are in competition in the Las Vegas area.

Angel Park (palm) is a great course to play, pretty much wide open fairways with some quick greens. most of the greens are 2-3 tier greens. Overall I had great time and Angel Park has one of the nicest and friendly group of employees. Also enjoyed Angel Parks cloud nine, which features nine replica par-3's of major coures that you'll find out on the PGA tour. ex. St. Andrews, TPC Sawgrass, Augusta, etc.
