Great course. Played it twice and each round was 5 hrs. Although houses are along the course, more in the back nine, it isn't annoying like some courses like Las Sendas for example.

Worth the trip every time especially if you grab something to eat at Tonto Grill. It's awesome.

Played 8/7/07. A short course @ 6000yds Rancho Manana has tight driving holes and small greens. Unfortunately recent monsoon rains have done some damage to the course. #16 Par 5 is totally washed out by a mudslide. Hopefully they can rebuild the hole by the time golf season starts. The Par 3's are fun. They play 1-2 clubs less due to elevation change. Service was fine. The tonto grill has good food. I'll try this course again in a few months.

The views are spectacular ans the location is great. A unique course which plays up and down the side of a mountain the front nine and around water the back nine. Two great holes on the front nine where you hit way down to par 3 greens, most enjoyable. It is summer in the desert and they are managing to keep it green which is a great thing in itself. The fairways are a bit thin and the greens a bit slow, other than that it is in very respectable and playable condition, also a good value.

Played for the 1st time 4/21 but this will be on the list the next time I'm in AZ. The course is short, 6000 from the tips par 70 but fairly difficult with narrow fairways, blind tee shots & elevated greens. This is a really fun course and not your typical desert course. They also had some of the friendliest staff I've ever seen on a golf course from the starter who let our 2some tee off ahead of a 4some to the marshall who actually asked if the pace was good for us and gave us a summary of the groups ahead of us. Well worth the money and if you are really lucky you might spot one of the bobcats that live on the course. Only negative like a lot of courses were the bunkers which had heavy "sand" with pebbles etc mixed in.

This is one of the most scenic golf courses in the area, with many elevated tee boxes with tremendous views of the valley. The course itself is very short, only about 6,000 yards from the blue tees, fairly tight off the tee is the course's protection. Have a killer margarita afterward at the resort's Tonto Bar.
