Played today. This is the sister club to Black Bear in Parker. Both operated by Club Corp. Two wonderfully different courses. Beautiful clubhouse with wonderful Pro shop service and great restaurant. Course plays like a links course on the front 9 and winds through a canyon on the back. The condition of the course is immaculate. Wonderful new comfortable carts. Large grass driving range with new Callaway balls. Huge putting green that runs at 13 and the greens on the course did the same thing. Tee boxes large and well groomed. Loved the combo tees of Blue/White. Fairways are wide but have 2 and 3 inch rough outside of them that is brutal. Many of the holes have water that will come into play. Lies in the fairways are like hitting off of plush carpet. And they have great rollout. Traps are deep, fluffy and very playable. Greens are large and undulating and with the speed at 13 you do not want long putts or downhill putts. The course is in a development but the houses are set back very well from the course so they are not an issue. Well laid out and fun to play for all skill levels. If you are looking for a course while in the Denver area, I highly recommend this course.
