Last round of the trip. So played here this AM. Was a member here over 20 years ago and will never get tired of playing here. Its great to see ones name on the wall with those who made hole in ones from years back. Get the early tee time and watch the sun come up over Pikes Peak and playing golf is a great way to start the day. I fully expected to find the course in great shape and was not disappointed. Nicely cleaned tee boxes. Great mowed fairways with nice lies, roll out. Traps all clean and so playable. Rough was damp but not penal and able to find the ball and advance it. Greens were running at 11 and were in spectacular shape. Not the same people in the shop as when I was a member but just as friendly and welcoming. Wonderful lunch in the dining room as always. Only bad point is that many of my old friends and playing partners are no longer around. But a great way to end a wonderful week of golf. I think I should do this every week.
