Played here today with some old AF retired friends. This is one of the best golf courses the military ever built using your tax dollars. And is the only original Robert Trent Jones Sr. layout in the state of Colorado. There is nothing bad you can say about this layout. Set in a beautiful part of the AF Academy with no houses around just makes it even better. Every tee box was perfect. Fairways had great coverage, lies and wild roll out. Huge bunkers but very playable. Rough deep in some areas and unable to find the ball. Greens were at 11 and were some of the finest I have played on in years. Outstanding customer service and the greatest prices on food/drinks I have seen in 10 years. If I lived in CO Springs I would not play anywhere else. And the Silver course is wonderful as well. Might be one of the best 36 hole golf courses in the US.
