Played here on 11/6 with a tee time around 8:20 am. Was very surprised that we were able to finish all 18 holes around 12 noon. (It would have been even faster if we didn't catch up with the group in front of us on hole 17.) We noticed that later tee times mid-morning were starting to get backed up. Recommend that you start early if you want to play fast.

This is a public golf course. Golf course is located in western Oahu. We were staying in one of the hotels in Ko Olina area and thus it took us about 30 minutes to get to this course. Since morning rush hour traffic is real bad going toward Honolulu from Kapolei, we wanted to go to a course that was about a half hour drive away. Price here was not bad around $90 in the morning. We got a cheaper rate from golfnow.com (around $75 with fees). Other golf courses in the Kapolei or Ewa Beach area were around $110 - $200.

Front 9 and back 9 holes here were completely different. Front 9 was very hilly with water coming into play on several holes. Back 9 holes were mostly flat. Loved the views here from the course. Golf course is in a valley. Three sides surrounded by mountains with the other side looking at the ocean. There were a lot of doglegs on this course. Fairways were average and sometimes narrow. Bunkers has some sand but was mostly red dirt. Greens here had a lot of grain to it. Saw reviews from other sites that mentioned the greens break toward the ocean.

18th hole was one of the toughest on this course. While you are on the 10th tee, I recommend you look at the pin placement for the 18th hole as the 18th green is elevated. The 18th hole is a dog leg right hole with an elevated green. On your tee shot, it is real easy to be OB right and left as it borders Hawaiian foliage and trees plus you are hitting down to the dogleg.

No GPS in golf carts. Cart paths here were pretty rough with a lot of potholes and bumps. You were better off not driving on the cart paths. While we were on the cart paths, we can see where other people have driven off the cart paths on the grass.

There is a driving range here. You are hitting down into the side of the mountain, which at most is about 200 yards. They have a restaurant here where you can pick up some food like spam musubi, etc. Staff is pretty friendly here. I wouldn't mind playing here again.
