I took various pictures of the courses & surrounding area which I'll post since there are NO PICTURES available.

Everyone had a fun time despite the speed of the greens....SLOW.....SLOW.....SLOW......SLOW......Pace of play was perfect!

GREENS: Ridiculously slow....slow.....slow....slow....slow....I think the speed ($timpmeter) was below "7" maybe even lower. Conditions of the greens were very good,hardly any ball marks but then again would NOT hold any approach shots w/o rolling further away.

TEE BOXES: Were in very good overall condition.

BUNKERS: (NOT TRAPS) the sand bunkers were hard panned "DIRT".
Luckily I did not have to play out of them, but playing partners were disappointed.

FAIRWAYS: A little dry & there are some crusty spots but 75% green, a few GUR's too.

ROUGH: 1" INCH at the most

STAFF: Awesome & excellent getting everyone checked in.

RANGE: Grass tee boxes

PUTTING GREEN(S): There are TWO sets of putting greens plus a chipping/pitch area. The 1st putting green (small) is tucked away (hidden) located left side of the restaurant. The 2nd putting green (large) is located past the range & near hole #1 of the WHITE course.

I love playing here, still have yet to play the "COMSTOCK" (Red Course). It's an easy course to get around but some holes can bite you if not paying attention.

Yardage Book: Just a Cool $2.00 for all (3) regulation nine holes! Basic info, but will tell you distances to the bunkers from the tee box so you can decide which club to hit.

One other thing, it seems like you have to carry the front of the green or face chip shots out of some grassy knolls.

Just played today in a "WINE & NINE" event!

Course 9 hole "BLUE COURSE"

Time: 530pm shotgun start
Conditions: IDEAL, MUST play right now despite watering restrictions per say.

Parking: Plenty of spaces

Staff: Awesome

Restaurant: Just RE-Opened, food was all around FOUR stars. They went out of their way to provide non-grilling items late in the day!
We'll be back JUST to have lunch looking over the course other holes.

Greens: People need to fix ball marks when they are made. Overall 8 out of 10! Enough for a challenge but speed not lightning fast but quick enough.

Fairways: Very good condition

Bunkers: need some work very hard pan.

Design: LOVE it, played it three times now in the past few years.

Markers: well marked.

Tee boxes: Very Good even the par three's!

My Callaway Rangefinder was spot on plus my Caddie experience.

Flag sticks: Well positioned & marked correctly RED / White / Blue

This course had a hard winter. The area experienced a dry, freezing winter. The course could not be watered as the pipes would freeze and they would end up with a mess. Hence the vegetation experienced an extended time without water. They are busy reviving the course and it shows. This explains the harsh grading of the course conditions by this golfer. They have 3 nines and they are closing them one at a time and over seeding. It is not a difficult course and can be a relaxing one to play.

Played today, the weather was in the mid 60's, a little East wind; very comfortable for walking.
Snuck in after the Senior Tourney at about 11am, and I had the course practically to myself.
The cooler weather has helped the punched greens come back nicely, they were about as good as I've ever seen them, consistent and lush. Recently they've punched the tee boxes and partial fairways. The cottonwoods are beginning to get some of that Autumn yellow, and the redtail hawks are lovely to watch circling this special little river valley.
Really a great day on a fun, challenging course here in the high desert. Come and check it out, it's going to be great for the next few weeks.
20 clams to walk, 30 to ride (includes a 5 dollar voucher for the pro shop or bar).

I played it last friday the 4th of sept. They punched the greens 10 days before, which is normal in this area. the greens have not healed up and I'm not sure they will until the spring. They used the large fairway type airator for the greens. Even though we only payed $17 including a cart on Golfnow.com I don't think it was worth it. The other courses in the area in great shape and it's a great time to play weather wise.
