Played a twilight round yesterday and got in all 18 in 3.5 H. Big difference here vs LA courses as twilight times are very open and not crowded. Course in very nice shape after all the maintenance they have been doing. Tee boxes all level, clean and playable. Fairways are all mowed, clean and provide excellent lies and roll out at present. Though they are narrow and you must stay out of the rough if possible as it is 1/2 inch and difficult to play out of. Traps were all clean but IMO they could use a little more sand. Some, not all are very firm and mishits will cause flyers. Greens unfortunately had just been aerated and sanded. So chipping and putting was difficult on all holes. But they look good and no doubt will come back looking just fine. Still getting use to having the greens higher than the fairway unlike in most S CA courses. Makes learning ones wedge play all over again. + most of them are guarded by deep bunkers adding to the challenge. Great customer service in the pro shop and from the starter. Very appreciated. Had time for a few drafts after the round and had to pay $8 no tax for two. Such a rip off LOL.
