I have probably played several hundred golf courses in my life and this was probably one of the 5 - 10 worst ones I have ever played. The layout was poor, with some really bizarre holes.

#5 is a 618 yard par 5 that you HAD to drive into the rough because the fairway didn't start until AFTER you crossed a hazard that was roughly 200 yards from the blue tees with overhanging trees that was at least 50 yards wide, then another 75 yards until the fairway started?

#8 is a 366 yard, dogleg left par 4 over a hazard that has a large group of 80' tall trees BETWEEN the blue tees and the fairway. Unless you can accurately play a 50 yard slice or a 50 yard hook, you have to punch a tee shot low under the branches like you would try to hit as a recovery shot if you drove it in the woods. I thought that was the worst designed par 4 I had ever seen... until I got to #13, a 275 yard par 4. The "fairway" is S shaped, and about as wide as a country road with overhanging trees on both sides. Horrible golf hole, it looked like they just decided to not spend the money to remove enough trees to carve out a legitimate fairway?

The poa annua greens were a bit furry and slow. I hit a 7 iron into the middle of #4 green, the first bounce was at least waist high and several bounces later my ball was lost in the sticker bushes 8-10 yards behind the green. I finally just started playing everything a club short and tried landing my ball 10 yards in front of the green.

The fairways and rough were fair to ok. The same could not be said for the tees. Many were not tee "boxes" in the traditional sense, they were mowed down spots in the rough or fairway. Easily the WORST tees I have played on in quite some time.

This course wasn't worth the modest twilight fee to walk. I would not recommend this course to anyone, both the layout and the condition was poor to downright bad.
