Played here yesterday. Booked an 8:15 time directly through their site because it was the same price as GN but without the booking fee. $65 a bit steep, but considering the quality of these courses and knowing that is the top dollar weekend rack (with cart) rate, I'd say this place is a very good value overall. It would be a great course to walk, if you are so inclined. I was paired with a twosome and we were in the 4th group out behind a couple twosomes and a foursome of members, but they all moved very quickly and we never saw them after a few holes. We were never pushed from behind and finished in about 4 hours. The course in exceptional shape on every level. It was very wet in the morning and never really dried out during our round, but things are so nice and lush throughout. Tee boxes, fairways and rough had minimal flaws. The greens had just been aerated recently and the course had clear alerts on their site, but there was really nothing affected and you would never know anything was done. Apparently they used a new machine with a different prong, and the greens were almost fully healed within a few days. Very cool. The bunkers had excellent sand. It took me awhile to notice that there are very few bunkers on this course. The guys I played with mentioned there used to be a lot, but they were taken out to improve pace of play and member satisfaction. It's interesting how they handle both courses here. Most of the time, one is public and one is private. They switch every couple weeks, so that gives everyone a chance to enjoy both tracks which clearly have their differences. The North is more open and linksy. There are a couple holes with some trees, but you can tell the South has a lot more trees in its design. The great conditions may have overshadowed the North course's design a bit for me. However, it is a fantastic track with a nice variety of holes (including a few short quirky ones to make you think) and a fair amount of challenge. Most greens have false fronts and there are numerous hazards in play. Highly recommended!
