My Primary Set of Irons
Saturday November 3, 2012
My previous set which I played for years (12+) were Forged irons w/steel shafts. I could no longer endure the pain in my elbow,I experimented with a cheapie graphite set of irons I found from a company in Palm Desert. Played that set for about two years and noticed my elbow pain was greatly decreased.
I club test for Cleveland Golf and remember trying out the prototype for the CG GOLD's during various testings. An opportunity presented itself to purchase brand NEW CG Gold graphite irons 3-PW, it think it was 3 years ago when I put them into play as my primary set. I immediately saw an increase in distance which I expected over the cheapie set but loved the feel, work ability to maintain my natural draw ball flight. The MCT technology makes them feel softer and handle the vibration as advertised. Very limited elbow pain even after hitting close to 100 golf balls on the range off a mat surface. Playing conditions: I really don't spin the ball but I've noticed my approach shots are a consistent pattern when they hit the green. I know I can trust the ball flight and I find them very accurate. I've been hard pressed to find a decent set available at my local Roger Dunn store, most sets are really abused. I could have opted for the CG RED's but felt the CG GOLD'S were a better fit for my game. If you can find these available, I don't think you'll be disappointed. | ||||||||||||||
