Needless to say, a 3 wood is likely needless for me. But....if I could only hit it right then I'd be on my way to an eagle on every par 5. An idle dream of the daydreaming golfer, for sure.
I'd been thinking about replacing my trusty Adams fairway wood. My main criteria were shallow face and ability to hit shots from the fairway with the most forgiveness.
Well I went to Roger Dunn and went on the machine. In the past I've found that the machine underestimates my driving distance. My average driving distance is about 230 to 240 yards but the highest I can ever get on the machine with drivers at RD is 195-220.

*drum roll* 250yards. That's right , off the deck 250 yards(the max) but consistently hit between 217 and 240 depending on the quality of my ball striking. Bought it and went out to test it at Harding the next day. Worked as advertised. Even slightly off center hit on 18th left me with a 30 yard chip and easy in.

It's true that a 3 wood is probably a luxury club, but depending on the course (Rustic, or other reachable par 5s it is a great club to have and for me, at least, inspired confidence. » Close

I was playing the Cleaveland CG Golds, profesionaly fitted, and liked those very much. Then I made the mistake of picking up one of these and hitting it. Oh man, I bought them right then and there. I have played these for 8 months now and could not be happier. They are a 1/2 to a full club longer and I can shape shots a bit better than the CG's. The look of them is cool too. They just look easier to hit than the other set. » Close
