I hadn't played here since 1995. I forgot how nice the setting and views are. While the golf course itself is nothing special, the atmosphere is so atypical of Los Angeles, it is a nice change of pace. There are some interesting holes, and certainly takes a bit of local knowledge to score well here. I won't wait 10 more years to return. Despite a poor scoring day, a pleasant time was enjoyed.

Played twilight April 29th. Course is very challenging (I'm a 20 handicap). A lot of elevation changes on tees, fairway undulations, and undulating greens. You have to be accurate and hit fairways because most holes have narrow fairways and trouble to the left and right. Also, bring plenty of balls (I lost 5 during my round of 18). It is very much worth the greens fee and would recommend to anyone.

Although this course gets lower rankings than other more expensive courses, it is well worth the money. Fun hilly course with lots of elevated tee boxes. Not too long, but challenging none the less.

Played this course for the first time on 2/05/05. It is an amazing course.. The holes can be extremely challenging with many doglegs, narrow fareways, elevation changes, and small greens. The fareways and greens were in excellent shape minus the failure of some local players to repair their divots (all too typical for most of the municipal courses around town).

This course features 2 of the longest par 3 holes around at 218 and 229 yards respectively and some of the most challenging greens I have ever played.

We had a 12:20 tee time and were able to finish all 18 holes just before dusk. We never felt rushed and the course did not appear overly crowded for the most part.

One of the best courses around for the price.

Played for first time on 12/22. I was amazed at how nice this muni was. The value is incredible ($34 riding). They don't make muni's like this in OC. Conditions were good overall. Greens firm, consistent, and holding well. Fairways decent. Tees ok. Best part about this course was layout. Lots of doglegs, elevation changes, and holes with character (like the par 3 "Bell" hole on the front). Really tests your accuracy and course management. Too bad I live so far away, or else this would be my home course in a heartbeat. A very fun course.

One of my hometown courses. The pace is good during the week. Can be slow on the weekends. As mentioned before, the fairways are narrow, making accuracy more important than distance on most holes. There are some longer holes where you use your driver, but you better be able to hit is straight or you will lose your ball. Right now, the course is not in top condition. Some of the greens have issues and there are a lot of divots throughout the tee boxes and fairways. The staff is very friendly and so are the people I have met on the course. And finally, the price for a round of golf is very good.
