Very interesting layout at Mesquite. The greens were in great shape, rolled true and medium/fast, and my foursome finished on a Sunday afternoon in just over 4 hours. Outstanding!

Played early Sunday morning and had a short delay getting started due to frost. This is a fun course that is very playable for all levels. Fairways are generally wide and the rough is relatively short so errant shots aren't too penalizing. The layout is interesting with a variety of holes and water comes into play on a few. There are a lot of bridges which take you over washes, hundreds of mature date palms, and spectacular views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

Overall, the course is in good shape but not in the same condition as some of the more expensive Palm Springs area courses. Fairways and tee boxes are lush, the rough is thin in some spots, and the greens are medium speed and soft with some divot damage but overall in decent shape.

For this time of year Mesquite had very few golfers on the course. If they dropped $10-20 off of the green fees and advertised they would probably be a lot busier.
