Played on Saturday the 27th of October. Mesquite reseeded much earlier than most Palm Springs area courses which was probably not a good decision.

Greens are very thin in some areas but also very slow. I'm more upset with the condition of the bunkers. This course was closed for a month to overseed and prepare for the season and most of the bunkers are overgrown with weeds!

Fairways and teeboxes are thin but playable but will need a few more weeks to fill in.

No cart service on midday Saturday. Can't recommend this course.

Shorter course with enough trees, water and OB to keep you honest. Greens are mostly smaller than average & were medium to medium fast and putted well. Fairways/Tees are over seeded and generally in good condition. Most of the traps are OK, a few need some attention. Much better mid day rate than most surrounding courses make this a good value for the $$$. Customer service was ++ from the pro shop to the cart person to the starter, all friendly & informative.

Typical 50's type course that has never been significantly updated. Really unique layout, five par 5's, six par 3's and only seven par 4's. I have never seen a course with five par 5's that was less than a par 72?

Short, moderately tight course ringed with mature palm trees in a residential area. Truly separate nines, to get to the front nine you have to cross a residential street from the clubhouse, and the back nine is on the street where the club house is. Small to very small greens that all crowned in the middle and sloped from back to front. They were well maintained but putted a tad slow for my taste. Fairways and tees were all over seeded that was generally OK but could be thin in places. Numerous doglegs where you needed to turn the ball to get it in the proper position.

The only real negative on course condition was the way the bunkers looked... most had hundreds of little grass sprouts that needed to be weeded and they plain didn't look good. Yet the three I was in all had nice sand in the spots my ball was, so I guess don't judge a book by it's cover.

I played 27 holes in around 5 hours, the first 18 with a really nice senior couple from Holland. For the price, I thought it was worth it, from the pro shop to the starter to the cart guys, the customer service and friendliness was ++.

Played Mesquite on Friday morning and paired up with a 3 some (great guys) on the 4th hole. Course reseeded about a month ago and the greens, fairways and teeboxes are still filling in. The first few holes had very thin greens (proshop staff said that a broken water main during the overseed caused the problem).

This track isn't maintained as well as some of the more expensive courses in the Palm Springs area but it is in decent shape and fun to play (especially for the price). Par 3's are long, there are a few holes that have significant water hazards and there are a couple of long par 4's.

Proshop staff and starter were great but we didn't see a cart girl at all. This course is just a few miles from my house and I will play again when I can find a good deal.

Good value golf on a struggling local muni. Arriving early for our 10:30 tee time, we were met at the car with a cart and bag attendant; nice touch. Cozy clubhouse and golf shop with nice helpful staff throughout all facilities. At check in we were given clear instructions as to locations of all the practice facilities and on course rest stops, as well as how the layout is for passing the clubhouse and street crossings; very helpful for us first timers.
Good enough prac/fac all grass range, and chipping area with two separate putting greens. On time start on a recently overseeded lush presentation (see photos), with transitioning grasses for the season. Don't let the rating number fool you; the course will fine up and mature as the season progresses, and overall a good rating was witnessed. Tees good, fairways -good, some thin spots waiting for the new grass to take. Rough - lush and long as they wait for the bermuda to go dormant and winter rye take over. Greens were inconsistent, but firm and average speed with good manicuring and fair to good shape. Sand was disappointing; many pebbles and rocks and thin. Layout was interesting but not without challenge as many of the greens are quite small ( probably its defense), and lots of water in play throughout. No drinks cart today, but plenty of cold water cooler stations; did not see a marshal but it wasn't that busy. Overall a good experience, with good vistas around the course, but I would wait until into November prior to returning. Note to self: if you own a golf course in a desert community, water
as valuable as it is, is still required to make the grass grow and try
to hold a tinge of green color, maybe a light brown. Mesquite has
turned into a dirt track with patches of dead grass. Alot like the
field they were playing on in the movie "Sandlot". Other than the
pace of play and some descent bunkers, everything from the tee
boxes to the greens is garbage. I wanted my $22 DOLLARS BACK.
This used to be a great place to play, not anymore. It was a sad
day for me, I will not be back. Woof Woof!!!!!!!

I played this place last year and it was a decent place for the money but it has totally gone down hill. Looks like it was watered with gasoline. Talked to some locals and they said new owner is saving money by not watering as much. Note to owner, no water in Palm Springs turns a golf course into a dirt lot. I really like the layout of this track with the small greens and all the par fives and threes but I think I will never see this place again. Tee boxes were very level dirt mounds, fairways had a few green spots, and greens were small but the only thing green on the course.

The rest of the course was a bit blah...probably would not play here again...there's other courses in the area that I would rather enjoy playing for a little bit more money.
