Somehow I filed this course on my master "list" as fully private and never even noticed it was already on GK. However, I guess it's semi-private and pretty easily accessible to public (especially this time of year). I got out there around 11:30 and I ended up being the only one on the course. The nice older guy working the pro shop was great and got me set up for a quick 9 holes with cart for $21. The $6 extra for cart was worth it with temperatures over 100 at this point in the day! Also, with nobody out there, I zipped around quickly with the cart!!! The course is in okay shape at best, but better than expected with such little play this time of year. Overall, the tee boxes, fairways and rough had pretty good grass coverage with some bad spots here and there. The main nuisance was the amount of dead leaves all over the course. Kind of had an "it is what it is" kind of feel. The greens looked ugly (kind of sandy and dried out), but they played decently. Putts rolled smoother and faster than expected, but that's a relative statement to how poor they appeared. I was in a couple bunkers and they were pretty much just hard-pan with a very thin layer of sand to work with. Not a course worth going out of the way for (especially in an area with such an abundance of amazing golf), but it was another one to check off my list in the desert and I enjoyed having it all to myself for the short time I was there!
