Course plays a little short, but plenty of changes in elevation and doglegs makes it a better than average test. Tees need some work, but everything else was good.

Nice Track. If you are striking the ball well, it is a good course to score on. Not a lot of danger. But you can post a high number if you spray the ball around a little. Worth the drive and the fees.

Played Stonehouse and Creek on 6/28/03. Stonehouse was almost completely back from aeration, although a few of the greens were actually a little shaggy. Creek was still recovering: both the greens and the fairways. I considered the Stonehouse layout to be more enjoyable than the Creek. Rough was pretty thick which put high value on accuracy off of the tee. Like the course and will come back again when the course has fully recovered from aeration.

Played guest (Thank You Greater San Fernando Golf Tour) in a 3 day tournament (Practice, Tournament and Scramble) and the course(s) looked great, except some of the tees (kinda lumpy and tore up.). The greens were pretty fast, but held up on mid-iron shots. Very tricky to read. Everyone talked about how everything ran down from the east hills and mountains, but you still never knew for sure. As said in an earlier post, the rough is severe!!! You could know where your ball fell and still have to look pretty hard to find it in the deep stuff. Pace kinda sucked due to tourney rules and the high-indexes losing their balls.

The Stonehouse course is really tough. Huge elevation changes, plus the Temecula pass sends in crazy winds and overcast skies. #6 had to be the hardest hole out of all 27. The hardest, but also the slowest 9 out of the courses.

The Creek course was in great condition (except the tee boxes), and played pretty easy compared to the Stonehouse. Great track with trees and sand in places always to make it challenging. Great grip it and rip it course, lots of long par fours and challenging 5 pars.

Oaks was probably the best course with an even amount of challenging holes, but gave a high-handicapper (like me) a chance to get some good scores. The course had a great par 3 with water surrounding it on both sides.

Facilities were nice, but the range mats were old and tore up. The putting green was immaculate! Great resort for a weekend tourney, the staff was great. Package included unlimited golf and range. 3 days/ 2 nights, banquet, plus Pechenga Casino was literally, down the street.

Played Oaks/StoneHouse nines on 2/17. Greens were punched and sanded, most recently on Oaks nine. While the greens were receptive and held shots nicely, they were horrible to putt. I realize that the course needs the maintenance, but I've putted on shag carpet that was faster.

MUST be accurate on this course. It has some of the most severe rough I have ever played. Almost to the point or being extreme...wasted too much time looking for balls, even those where we knew where to look. Would suggest they reduce the length a little to allow higher handicappers a decent chance to score.

Overall a good track...will come back when greens have healed.
