These are the worst greens Ive ever payed to play on.. they should be paying u. the greens were cut at different heights on the same green...something major was wrong i think. im done with this place and it doesn't look like its getting better. there are other courses in better shape and taken care of. was gonna talk to the gm to see what happened, but he was gone for the day...oh well.

CAUTION: this place is under some construction. the 18th hole is being redone with new sand in bunkers....its about time. other than that this place isn't special. hotter than heck out there and the course shows the heat...alot of browned out areas and it is barely May. not very lush like it has been in the pasts. the greens just suck. alot of fungus spots. The maintenance guys were kickin on the sprinklers getting people wet, so be cautious...,that was kinda funny. I think El Ranche Verde is in alot better shape right now, shandin hills used to be better and the greens were too. other than that just a good place to get a white trash special.

I used to brag to my buddies about shandin hills. i was paying 40-50 bucks less per round than they were and i was playing on the best d%mn greens money can buy. i used to couldn't wait to get to the course to play on those greens. that was the only reason to play there in my opinion. i don't think i'll be back. did this course get a new greenskeeper or something or budget cuts in maitnencance? Goats are needed here to get the grass cut...the rough ate 4 balls todya..

played on thursday, the 13th. course was tough on me. don't miss the fairway or your ball is lost. i kid you not i lost 6 prov1s and i watch where it goes. i guess maintenance will be mowing them. or maybe not. don't know if they have a rough mower. tees were ok...decent. no roll on the fairways which were long. greens are bumy and slower than dog do do. i guess they aerefied a few weeks ago. with the rain thought they would be better it was a nice and warm day and busy. so many golfers without collared shirts. i guess i'm used to player highend places. don't if its worth going back. the place is in the ghetto.

Been playing this course for the past few years, so I know this course pretty well. THis course was in fabulous shape for quite some time, but things have slipped, especially the condition of the greens. these greens were some of the SMOOTHEST and FASTEST greens in the IE. it looks like they barely mow them on a daily basis and they are so slow abd bumpy. i know this course is american golf but something needs to be done. I don't know how things can go down hill so fast. the one thing i liked about shandin hills is consistencyt but who knows what to expect. i might just have to start driving to moreno valley. i suggest not to play here until things get back on track, if ever.

Played on yesterday Thursday, April 6, 2006. I agree with the person below. The greens were pretty slow. The course was soggy, but not bad for the day after two days of rain. This open layout is still one of my favorites to play in the San Bernardino area. Paid $27.00 to ride after 2 p.m.

The tunnel was flooded towards the back nine and I don't know how golfers were getting through all of that water. Kinda reminded me of the Moses exhibit at Universal Studios.

Overall, the fairways were lush, the rough was really rough and the only bad thing about the day was the twosome that we encountered on the last hole. They were rude, drunk, toothless, and wore torn jeans. I guess I can't complain because the overall type of golfer that this course attracts are San Bernardino's finest trash.

If you don't mind rude golfers who take forever to finish a hole (searching all over for their ball and taking 5 minutes looking over each shot), then this course is for you.

played on monday. greens are slower than any green I have ever putted on. aereification holes were half filled in so this could be the reason for so many bumps. just a poor job of doing maintenance to the greens. my cart smelled like an ashtray due to all the cigarretette buts in the compartment. i guess this place just doesn't care. don't know if ill be back again. the greens here used to be the best around by far.

Played Friday, 3/31/06. Greens are almost back after aerification, still a little bumpy, sandy and slow. The rest of the course was in great shape. A little standing water in the traps after all the rain the previous week. Green fees will be going up another $2 according to the pro shop. Pace of play was good, no waiting, but it was a Friday and dark clouds were in the sky.

Good value course. Greens rolled true and the fairways and rough were in good shape. The front nine provides some undulating fairways and tee to green challenges. But then comes the back nine, there happens to be train tracks and the I-215 all around you. So it can get pretty noisy. It's also pretty flat and provides little challenge. Service was fair, nothing to complain about. But overall, it's a decent play for the cost
