Played afternoon round on 2-4-16. Overall, I liked playing it and would like to play it every so often but, for me, not as a member.
Pros-
1. Perfect fairways fully grown in hybrid bermuda (my club is working toward this hybrid grows slow) with regular bermuda rough that is filled in and consistent.
2. Bunkers are good quality. Different type of sand but good.
3. GREENS... I have played SDCC plenty, I was a member at Stoneridge (they brag about greens), I have played every course that thinks their greens are Phil Mick's practice spot for masters... NONE of those courses have ever been even close to these when I played them. They were perfect and LIGHTNING

Cons- Really my only complaint and the course
1. A lot of the greens are elevated or hidden-ish. So, you don't get to see where your ball lands and how it reacts. When you are working on certain shots, these are things you want to know.

Overall, worth the experience and very enjoyable.

Tee'd it up on my birthday, 11/28 right at 12. My buddy is a member so it's always fun to get out here and play some golf for free :)

There were quite a few people on the course on an amazingly beautiful day, however we played in a little over 3 hours. Awesome.

The course is always in really solid shape and it wasn't any different this weekend. There was the typically fall colors of bermuda with a bit more brown than we normally see, but the quality of the turf was excellent. What stood out to me was how incredible the greens were. They were lightning fast, smooth and held shots perfectly. It was really a pleasure playing on these.

I really enjoy the layout at Shadowridge. It's all pretty much right in front of you, but you get a good variety of holes, lots of elevation changes and enough of a challenge to keep you focused without being crazy tough.

Obviously Shadowridge is private so accessibility is an issue, but if you get the chance to play I'd recommend it. It's just a place that always provides a fun day of golf.

Had a great time out here this afternoon with AndrewZ28's Buena Vista Little League tournament. Was hoping to see more GK'ers out there (paging shaunstorm123... hello?), but I was paired with three really nice guys. Unfortunately, a scramble tournament where I am the second-longest hitter on the team and our longest hitter hit a total of 1 fairway all day was not a recipe for low scoring! Anyway, the tournament was still a lot of fun with a ton of great prizes, grub, etc. and well worth the price of entry.

The course was in very nice shape and a stark contrast to my morning round. Shadowridge is set up to drain really well. There were some mushy low spots here and there, but mostly it played great from tee to green. Tee boxes excellent. Fairways tight and very well-kept. Rough cut down and not much of a factor. With the scramble format, it was great to be able to perch the ball up right on top for a perfect lie. We didn't play from any bunkers. They looked pretty compacted, but I'm sure will be back to normal shortly. The greens were very soft and a bit slow (I'm certain they are usually much faster), but smooth and nice on putts.

The tournament was a great excuse to come check Shadowridge off my list. This is an solid and enjoyable overall layout, with a very similar feel to other courses in this area like Rancho Bernardo Inn, Bernardo Heights, etc. They all kind of have a nice, but not overly distinctive kind of design. The staff here was great amidst the chaos of this event and it seems like a very friendly club, worth checking out if you get a chance.
