Played reluctantly on Tuesday, 12/3, in early afternoon. I am going through a drawn out shanking phase that I have to work through and was reluctant to play as a twosome with a friend of a friend because it is embarrassing. That said, had a good time on an interesting course. The course plays over and around a stream so many holes you have to carry an area from which a mi sh-t ball is not retrievable. Not an ideal course for me at the moment. It was a gorgeous afternoon and a nice track for this Southern Californian so all good. It is not a long course and probably eminently getable for someone playing well.

They are having a problem with their fairways on the back nine. Quite a few bare spots. Otherwise Bermuda grass with decent lies. I was in two sand traps and plugged both times in beach type sand. Some intermittent areas with fairly deep Bermuda rough, more on the front than the back nine. Otherwise, the rough was not really a factor.

One nice thing was we played in less than four hours. I think we got out right before twilight as there appeared to be more players behind us. I would play it again if in the area.
