We played today, 11/5 and the course conditions are in good condition. Granted there were some thin spots and some spots were muddy from over watering. But the greens are in great shape, although the greens were a bit on the fast side. We love playing here for a quick 9 holes and the views of Morro Bay are great!

We played on Monday, 1/14 with a mid-morning tee time. Course is undergoing some course work. Some of the tee boxes are under repair. The greens are in great shape for an executive course. Some of the fairways were thin/damp in spots. But the views of Morro Bay from the course can't be beat.

The course was lush. The fairways were very well kept. The tee boxes all required work. I play in the morning (8:00am) and the greens were damp but very fast. This is an excellent executive course with ( 4) moderately challenging long holes.

This is one of my favorite 9 holes courses to play. The views of Morro Bay and Morro rock are great from holes #2 - #5. It is not easy to play with water coming into play on holes #3 and #6. Course conditions were great. The fairways, greens and tee boxes are in great condition. We noticed that the fairways were little wet in spots. It took us about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to play 9 holes. I wish there was a course like this back home. There is a driving range here but you are hitting into a field, so it's a little hard seeing how far you are hitting the balls. In addition, the balls used for the driving range looked like they were recovered from some of the ponds on the course. Every time when we are up here on vacation, we always play at least one round here.

This is perhaps my favorite 9 hole course I have ever played. Its view of the Morro Bay Rock, the bay area and surrounding enjoinment is peaceful. The course is relatively flat. Holes 4 and 5 have some dips and hills which add a little variety to the rest of the holes being level. There are 2 water hazards, one on hole 3 with a small pond and hole 6 where you will shoot over tall fox tails that block your view to the green adding a little mystery about where you landed until you get around to see it which adds a little touch of excitement on that hole.

The layout is very unique making it one that you will remember playing and will no doubt want to play it again for the low $4.00 more to play a second 9 hole round.

The course maintenance is perhaps the best I have ever seen for a 9 hole course. From the tee boxes down the fairways onto the greens is all lush with healthy grass.

The staff at the Pro Shop is friendly and informative. The Pro Shop itself is well stocked with nice quality merchandise at decent prices.

The practice green is small but effective enough to do what you need to do as long as there are only a couple practicing at a time.

The only thing that I saw that needs improvements was the Driving Range. I’m not sure how they retrieve some of the balls I was smashing out past 270 yards with some of the vegetation overgrowth but its driving fairway is very bare. I’m not sure but it’s very possible an environmental issue as to why it has not been renovated. There is a lot of protected wildlife in this area so I wouldn’t be surprised if it is the reason.
