Played on January 3/09. Got an internet special. Course in great shape for this time of year (very cool year so far) greens were a bit hard at times, but ran true and were generally smooth. Enjoyed the course, staff were very good. If you can get a special rate (internet or coupon) it is worth the drive out to play. Several sets of tee boxes so you can play to whatever level you are at. Not overly intimidating, fairways generous on most holes, greens can be very fast and depending on pin placement, tough. I will play again.

Played 1-2-2009. The course was in good shape. Desert type with some elevation change. A good course for a housing development. But along way out of town if you are on the east side of Phoenix. Also, a whole lot of traps. Forced carry to fairways and greens.

Some of the greens were severley damaged. On one hole there was a "sand trap" in the middle of the green were the grass was completly gone and rain had caused a muddy divot about 4 feet across. Othe... Continue »

Some of the greens were severley damaged. On one hole there was a "sand trap" in the middle of the green were the grass was completly gone and rain had caused a muddy divot about 4 feet across. Other greens had bare spots. Tee boxes were in great shape and the fairways were well maintained Overall a good value.

Tee off about a hour late due to frost. Staff was very friendly. At first tee starter had a table set up with free yardage books, divot tool, nice bag tags (metal), and snack bars. Golf carts were all new. The course fairways were lush, sand traps were good, greens FAST.Enjoyed the track. Great price with golfnow discount.

We really enjoyed playing GC of Estrella. (Don't confuse it with Estrella Mtn. Golf Course down the road) We had not planned to play but it was raining east of the Valley (Las Sendas GC) and heard good things about the track and that the West Valley gets a lot less rain. Made the drive to Goodyear and were not disappointed. It wasn't raining, we paid reasonable green fees and got to play a beautiful course. Appreciated the receptive but speedy greens and fair but challenging course. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed hanging out in the small lounge afterwards. The chicken salad croissant was quite tasty.
