Played here on black Friday. What a great course! Everything is top notch from the guys who meet you at the curb and load up your clubs to the pro shop to the cart girl who came by three times.
Tee boxes are some of the best I've played from. Never a hard time finding a level spot and not beat up at all. Fairways just came off of cart path only so they were perfect. Did not have one bad lie all day. The rough is dormant and not too long but miss that and you will be in the rocks and brush.
Bunkers have ample sand and no rocks that i saw. The greens were simply amazing! Smooth-true -quick and no pitch marks to speak of.
If i lived here I would play this track a lot.A nice mix of challenges and some elevation changes with water in play on several holes. Well worth the green fee. Wish I could play this one again before I have to head home.

Played 10/14/2011. The most important thing about this course for you to have a good time is to choose the appropriate tees. This is a very demanding difficult course. Unless you are a single digit handicapper, choose the white tees. Even the shorter gold tees have a slope of 114. I you choose the silver tees you will be faced with many approaches over 200 yards as they have very long par 4's. Also use a lob wedge out of the bunkers as they tend to be hard and shallow. Greens are lightning fast, so dedicate some time on the practice green or you will be 3 or 4 putting all day.

Played April 14. This course is west of Phoenix so it's in a little different terrain than most of the Valley of the Sun courses. The desert rough is a little more open so you can actually find a ball hit out there, but it's still pretty much a lateral water hazard unless you want to carry a rock club. The course has a country club feel and experience. Not all that pricey in April, and green fees include lunch! Enjoyed watching the F-16's flying over too.

Played Jan. 06/09, "January" special, $69 incl. cart. I've played this track several times and really enjoy it. It is seldom busy so you can get around in good time. The course was is good shape for this time of year considering cool weather. Fairways are generous, big greens, can be very fast, and some are somewhat undulating. I like the course and try to play it when I can. The rack rate is too high for where it is located, but if you can get a special go for it. Well maintained course, staff friendly and helpful. Customer service (including on course cart girl) is always very good. Nice course indeed!

Played in December '07. Great layout. A lot of fun holes to play. Still can't figure how to read the greens! We always seem to include Verrado on our golf trips to AZ. Excellent conditons. Beautiful views. Homes that border course are not intrusive. Have always had good service when playing Verrado. Worth the drive to Buckeye. And the food is excellent in the grille (get their homemade chips instead of fries).

The Raven at the Verrado is a true gem of the Valley of the Sun. The rate can be high, but there are plenty of discounts out there including the Entertainment Card and the SWPGA Discount card. My wife and I golfed there after overseeding last year and the course was beautifully maintained. It was as if we were the first people to ever play the course. The staff was friendly and professional. The greens were fast and true. We had a terrific time. We're hoping to go back soon.
