Re-review for Summer 2010: played 9-05. For the end of Summer, course is in excellent condition. Fairways are in the best shape I've seen, very little GIR. Areas around the greens were quite long and full, possibly to make the course harder, or possibly, as my playing partner said, because they don't want to pay anyone to mow it. Keep it on the fairway or you WILL be penalized. Regardless, this is the best shape I've seen this course in. Greens have always been its saving grace, and today was no exception. Almost no dead spots, true rolls, fast and firm. Never hit a bunker, so no review there. Got out about a half-hour early, played the round in less than 3.5 hours.

Played Power Ranch Trilogy for the first time this summer. Course is in good, not great shape. Most tee boxes were thin, one (the 4th, I think) was completely torn up. Fairways had a lot of GIR on them, and many bare landing areas. Where grass was growing was in very good shape. Ground wasn't hard, just not as lush as this course should be. #18 had a huge GIR--basically, if you hit a good tee shot, you were gonna back up 15 yards to hit out of a legal area. Greens were in phenomenal shape: fast, true, lush, perfect. Worth the price to putt on these babies today. Sand traps were poor to good. Service was okay: saw the cart girl on #2, didn't see her again until #15, clubhouse guys were are good. For $20, you can definitely do a lot worse, even with the fairways as they are.

Played on Saturday, March 14th. Staff very friendly. We went out right on our 11:40 tee time. Didn't wait on any hole for more than one minute. Course was in great shape. Fairways were lush and the greens were immaculate. Tough to putt and a little slow, but they held a shot really well. Like the course a lot. Not the most difficult, but very fun to play. I will definitely play here again. Really nice bar and restaurant for that after round cocktail.

Played here two weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon. Likes: very, very friendly staff, from the guard at the gate to the gal behind the counter to the kid who took my clubs and prepped them. Excellent driving range with well marked flags, though they are little chintzy on the range balls, imo. The greens were absolutely immaculate, pehaps the best I've seen on any course in Phoenix. The downside was the fairways: a lot of Ground under Repair, bare patches on fairways and divots. Much more than I would expect from an upscale, semi-private course. Overall, a good golf experience, but glad I only paid about $25 to play here.
