Course not as lush as a month ago but still in nice condition. Tees lush and very well maintained. Fairways now firm and play fast with a few brown patches here and there. Rough hit and miss, could be thick or thin. You actually want it to be thick to stop balls that otherwise will end up in the cactus w/o it. Sand is excellently maintained. Greens firm and putt medium fast with few ball marks. Carts have nice GPS. Customer service excellent from almost everyone on the staff. Excellent range and good restaurant on site. Highly recommended.

First time I played this month. Wow, what a difference in 3 weeks of hot weather. Course much drier with some brown patches compared to the almost 100% lush green I played in March. But still in 90% of top playing condition. Tees lush and well maintained. Fairways playing firm/fast with areas still overseeded and areas where the Bermuda has taken back over. Rough all over the place and it can get you in trouble where it is thin and won't stop wayward shots. Sand very well maintained. Greens firm and medium fast. Customer service almost always excellent. All grass range is excellent. Restaurant good for a golf course. highly recommended.

Played several times recently. POP good considering how busy the course has been. Usually 4-4.5H as a 4some. Weather conditions have been excellent with temps in the mid 80's to low 90's over the last week.

The course is in very nice shape. Greens smooth, firm and medium fast. Tees well maintained. Fairways mostly lush with the Bermuda beginning to take over from the winter rye. Rough mostly clumpy, dormant Bermuda which usually produces iffy lies. Sand traps immaculate.

Customer service excellent. Nice restaurant on site. Practice facilities very good. Good GPS on carts on a very spread out, almost unwalkable layout. Highly recommended.

Course continues to be in very nice condition with most nights around 50 and most days around 75. Played several times this week in a 1-2 club wind and good POP.

Course continues to be in very nice condition with most nights around 50 and most days around 75. Played several times this week in a 1-2 club wind and good POP.

Tees and fairways lush and well maintained. Sand near immaculate. Rough mostly dormant Bermuda. Lies can vary from looking like it was teed up on a tee box to sitting down so much advancing it with a longer club is unlikely within a small area.

Bermuda greens are excellent. Smooth, firm and medium fast. Chips w/o spin downhill may not stop until they reach the other side fringe. Almost no ball marks, putts roll really well.

Restaurant good for a golf course. Customer service excellent both inside/outside the club. Practice facilities and the GPS on the carts both excellent. Men's lounge nice place to have a meal or get a drink with numerous big screen TV's in a friendly atmosphere.

I previously commented on what IMO was the over reach and heavy handed approach of a few employees and volunteers here. Someone must have listened to my detailed critique with numerous examples I had witnessed others be subjected to on the club annual survey. At least in my presence, the few that were going overboard are much more customer service and make the guest feel welcome oriented. Nice and welcome improvement in one of the few complaints I have had about anything in my 4 years here.

The course is in very nice shape. Greens smooth, firm and medium fast. Holding better than usual here, actually stopped a few irons recently. Tees well maintained. Fairways lush with a few spots that look like the Bermuda is trying to take over from the winter rye. Rough mostly clumpy, dormant Bermuda which usually produces iffy lies. Sand traps immaculate. Have been getting around in less than 3.5H in most recent rounds. Course less busy than expected because the temps went down from low 80's to low 50's within a week.

Course very lush. Greens smooth, quick and firm with very few ball marks.

Rough very hit and miss with good coverage. Lush to clumpy in a small area. Tee boxes, fairways and sand all about as immaculately maintained as you will see anywhere.

Pro shop and Bag attendants are always helpful and top notch here. Nice practice area and restaurant on site. Highly recommended.

Played twice this week. With daytime temps consistently in the low 70 to low 80 range and night time temps in the low 50 range, the course has flourished. Possibly the nicest conditions I have experienced in the 3 years I have been playing this course. Very comparable to the times I have played Pebble Beach as a basis of comparison. It not only looks lush everywhere, it plays that way.

Sand traps fluffy white beach sand that is immaculately maintained.

Rough combination of dormant Bermuda, still green Bermuda and over seeded grasses. Weak link compared to the other parts of the course but excellent coverage everywhere and very playable.

Fairways a little higher than normal, which lessens the almost insane amount of roll when they are mowed low and playing quick/firm. Tee boxes very lush with most divots filled in.

Greens their normal firm and quick. The 2 Ventana courses have the best Bermuda greens I have ever putted on by a large margin. And they do not overseed the greens. There is evidently about a 125 mile wide band from south of Phoenix to roughly the US/Mexico border that agronomists determined that Bermuda greens should not be over seeded and they do better than over seeded greens do in that climate. It is such a joy (on the rare times I manage to do it) to just tap a downhill putt with break and watch it trickle smoothly into the hole.

Customer service always top notch. Highly recommended.

Rough very hit and miss with good coverage. Lush to clumpy in a small area. You can have a lie sitting up like on a tee and a few ft. away have a lie you can barely see the top of the ball.

With things becoming much more crowded, I can already see the POP changing from low season to high season levels. Still got around in 3H, 45M on Veterans Day as a 2some. CPO for another week+, which slows things down considerably when many of the players are Seniors. Lush and well maintained throughout. Greens smooth, firm and quick. Two things about a course coming out of overseeding that was closed several weeks for maintenance. 1-Fairways still cut higher than normal, which cuts down about 20-30 yards of normal roll on many drives and makes the course play long. 2-Recently added sand to the traps has not had time to settle yet. And it is almost too fluffy/deep in many spots. Those are really nit picking and about the worst things I could say about course conditions. Highly recommended.
