Played Sunday, 6/13, 8:05 tee time. $27 w/cart including HUGE hot dog at the turn. I've played this track many times, summer and winter, and it has always been a really fun par 61 executive track in decent condition. Not now. Apparently they are having issues with water and struggling to stay afloat. They recently punched the tee boxes and fairways, but without enough water to fill them out...the course is bone-dry. Fairways/tee boxes are a mix of dry grass and dirt, and the rough is just dirt. Bunkers are totally solid. Greens are anywhere from VERY shaggy, to yellow and dying, to dirt, with some cut in half as GUR. It's sad to see a fun course die, and I believe this is what's happening here. With The Refuge going private and this place dying, the Lake Havasu golf scene is quickly running out of options. I'll play the London Bridge courses (Olde London and Nassau) next time I'm in the area and report back.
