In FL for family affairs and of course some golf. Played here this morning. Having been fortunate to play many of the TPC courses (both public/private and some that are no longer TPC courses) I always make sure to play here when in the area. Course is ideally located a short drive from Tampa airport and on my way to the Springhill/Brooksville area. This course is a great course for all levels of golfers. Some of the TPC courses are not. Course was in great shape. Tee boxes not an issue. Fairways had great coverage with great lies and roll. Rough was about an inch high and very penal. Traps were fantastic and they had rakes (take that CA). Lots of water, which is typical of FL courses. But as this course is an Audubon Sanctuary it has a lot more than some. Greens were terrific and no issues with chipping/putting and they were fast. Customer service was top notch at all levels. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend this course. And it was fantastic to be able to have lunch after the round in the restaurant and enjoy the company of my playing partners and talk about the golf and catch up with everyone. It is a great feeling to be out of CA for awhile and enjoy certain things that have been missing over the last year.
