This course deserves the award it received from Greenskeeper. Tee boxes good, fairways thin from coring last week but in great shape and quick. Good sand and rough due to good maintenace throughout the course. Greens are in fantastic shape; fast, smooth and holding. Good drinks cart attendance and very good staff made the Sunday afternoon round a pleasure in just over 4 hours.

OK, we have had 2 weeks of rain, but the course still presents well with minimal water damage. Carts on paths extended play but with very good marshalling, still finished 4.5 hours with a 12:30 tee time. Greens were a bit slow but fun as they hold very well. Great service and good drinks cart attendance, fun layout always make the course an atraction.

RS is in very good shape at the present time. Fairways have a few divots, but the course is trying it's best to clean up after negligent golfers. Greens and T-boxes are excellent. Was only in one trap today so can only judge the sand quality by what I played and it was good. The staff are always helpful and friendly which makes this a great play to play. Huge greens with lots of..."character" and today had a few pin placements I have never seen before in almost 20 years of playing there, which made the round all the more interesting. Highly recommended.

This course has the largest greens in the bay area (was told the avg is just under 10K sq ft per green), which can fool you into thinking you're playing well. You hit lots of greens in regulation, but add up the three putts.....ouch. Watch your approach as greens can be 40 yds deep!!

The weather was perfect today. In the 70's and no one out. NFL playoffs I guess.

Conditioning is good and the staff is very helpful. Courses around this area are hurting and they're working to make your experience good. They're succeeding at Rancho Solano. Thanks guys!! With a $57 fee (incl cart with GPS), and an open course, this is a good value. It's always a fun place to play.... even though I lost big on a nassau and got schooled by a 73 gross. At least he bought the beers with my money.....

All aspects of play and course outstanding. Good food at grill, nice staff and marshalling. Briefing sheet to promote speed of play works very well. A solid test on a fine presentation. 'nuff said.

Good maintenance continues at this course. Having cored the greens a few weeks ago, they are in extremely good shape with only a few dimples, good speed, holding and true. No alert should be visible within 7-10 days.
All other aspects in very good shape. Good drinks cart attendance for a Monday mid day, great F&B facilities and staff make it a destination course. Management has,in fact, a briefing sheet with the score card remarking on maintaning pace of play!!!! Great.

Teed off about noon on Oct 16. This is a very well maintained facility, and if you spray the ball, this is the course for you. Everything about this piece of property is massive. Huge, wide fairways, giant greens, and giant chipping/fringe areas around each green complex. Sometimes you'd park the cart near the green and have to walk about 40 yards just to reach the green from the cart. The course was in very good condition the day I played - just beware some soggy areas in the fairways and in front of the greens - pretty easy to fat a chip when it's a little soggy under your ball. The front 9 layout is pretty mundane; nothing really thrilling. But everything changes on the backside. The back is pretty darn good test of golf. You can spray it around, but there's some interesting elevation, the wind comes into play, and the greens are fairly contoured. It was fun playing the backside. This is a good facility and a fun place to play.
