1st time playing here, fun, quirky little course, VERY hilly. Numerous holes are tight, and there is alot of slope on several fairways that needs to be factored into your aim on your tee shot. Walked the blues (5853/68.9/124) in 4 hours, teeing off slightly after 7am on their standard weekday walking rate of $25. The greens were very good to excellent. Smooth, medium fast and FIRM. I was finally getting the speed and firmness down the last few holes. These greens are relatively small and they have alot of break. On numerous greens, you BETTER be below the hole. Also, because the greens are small, it's easy to short side yourself. You also have a decent amount of blind approach, pitch or chip shots because numerous holes are severely uphill or the green is severely elevated. Both the fairways and rough were good to very good, well maintained. The tees were at best average, they definitely could use some divot fix attention. I wasn't in any sand, but it looked to be well maintained. The course has five par 5's and five par 3's. The layout is very fun. You also have six par 4's that are short, with none of the ten par 4's measuring over 360 yards. Of the short par 4's... #5 is only 262, and you have five more between 302 & 323. However, none are going to be driven very often, because: #2 & #11 are both severely uphill, dogleg right holes over a lake with huge trees in the way if you wanted to go @ the green from the tee. #5 & #9 are both straight away. However both have severely elevated greens with several bunkers on the hill in front of small, sloping greens. #5 also has a lateral water hazard just left of the green and woods just right of the green. #10 is a severely downhill, dogleg right hole with a lake left and a lateral water hazard close to the green with huge trees in the way that completely block the green from the tee. #17 turns slightly to the left and has bushes and woods left and huge trees right. If you carry it super long, you could go over the hazard on the left and go right @ the green. All the par 3's were fun holes. After every severely uphill par 4 came a straight down the hill par 3. Three of the par 3's were severely downhill, one was uphill, and only one of the five was relatively flat. I would have scored really well today IF I had played the five par 5's decently. While they are not long, several are tight, with very narrow openings if you try to reach the green in two. All have water hazards that are a combination of across the fairway, beside the fairway or in front of the green. I found the par 5's to be the toughest holes on the course, and it was irrelevant that they barely average 500 yards (541, 525, 467, 479 & 498) from the back tees. Tight, sloped with lots of trouble all around. The one that is just 467 yards has 2 different creeks that run across the fairway about 175 yards apart to make it play longer than the yardage indicates. I had a 6I into the one that is just 479 yards downhill... and it was a questionable go for in 2 because if you missed left, your ball is gone in waist deep bushes/trees. I barely missed right, and it rode the slope all the way down the hill into a hazard. You have at most a 15 yard wide opening to a severely elevated, small and sloping green, anything pushed or pulled is gone. Only negatives: There was no beverage/snack cart service and the driving range is irons only, off mats. However, the positives were plentiful: Customer service was a ++, very friendly in the pro shop. VERY fun course, For those of you in So Cal, this course reminds me of Elkins Ranch with much better greens. It's a hike from my home, well out on the NW side of Portland. Because of the distance, I'll only rarely play here. However, if it were closer, I wouldn't mind coming here every so often to provide a break from the usually longer, 132-140+ slope courses that are my favorites in the greater Portland area.

Played 27 holes yesterday in perfect weather. The greens had been plugged and sanded 10 days ago and were still a bit bumpy and rolling 8 on the stimp. The fairways are in decent condition considering the lack of rain for the last 2 months. The rough has some thin and bare areas. Some tee boxes are thin in spots. Despite these minor issues, this is a good value at $30 for 18 with cart and a $10 replay for 9 more.

This was not my first choice today but my favorites all had tourneys. Although set in a beautiful rolling wooded area, the recent drought has had an impact on some areas. I encountered a few thin and underwatered fairway and rough areas. The tees had many divot damaged areas. The greens were rock hard and and rolling about 11-12 and had some minor bumpiness in areas.

The course is shorter and not particularly difficult but putting on some green locations was penal. That said, at $32 WR for 18, it was an ok value.

I have played here a few times and the greens were in the best condition I have seen them ever. They rolled true and medium fast with minimal ball marks. The long stretch of dry hot weather has caused some bare spots on the edges of the fairways. The tees were generally in good condition with some divot damage in spots. The sand traps played well.

Many holes have elevation changes, are tree lined and have strategic traps and water. The course features attractive views of the surrounding hills and forested areas and is a good value on a Sunday for $41 with cart.
