Played 18 with GK'er Cthuyen and 4 of his buddies who are on a multi-day golf excursion in the Portland area. They had played the OGA course in the morning and I joined them at Langdon Farms at 3pm for an afternoon round.

The course is in great condition and feels more like a private club than a public venue. The greens were smooth and very fast. The fairways and tee boxes were also very lush while the rough was also lush and just a bit longer than usual. The sand traps were fluffy. The staff was friendly and the cart girl was there when we needed her.

This is one of my favorite courses in the area and I always enjoy my rounds here. I may be somewhat biased as my only hole-in-one occurred here!

Played 18 with cart for $47 on a Tuesday at 8:30am in 4 1/2 hours. Course is in decent shape and so well watered that carts were required to use 90 degree access to your ball. Some tees had quite a few divots marks but still very playable and often shots ended up in fairway divots that demonstrate not many players are repairing them.

This is still a very challenging and fun course and I enjoy it every time I play.

Played 18 with cart for $32 at 6:45am on a Golf Now special. The course is in good condition but gets a lot of play because of the value it presents. Tee boxes show some wear. Very well maintained and many challenging holes particularly on the back nine due to elevation changes. Overall a very good value.

Played 18 with cart for $32 on golf now from the whites at 9AM. No one in front or behind! The course is in great condition in all facets. It is about 40 miles south of Portland and that is the only reason it might not get more play. It winds through an upscale housing development on the back nine but few problems in that regard. There are several very challenging holes and but not much elevation change. I enjoy playing here very much.

Played the whites as a 4-some in carts in just over 4 1/2 hrs. The course is overall is great shape but many tee box and fairway unrepaired divots indicate little concern by players for maintaining the course lushness, which is disappointing for such a beautiful setting.

Same thing with greens as many ball marks have not been repaired causing bumpiness. They are re-shaping and refilling all sand traps with fluffy white sand but many are still GUR. The completed traps are wonderful!

I always look forward to playing here because it is in a beautiful setting and is very challenging.

Played 18 w/cart mid day Monday during a stretch of dry weather in the 60's. As a result, the course was busy but play not slow. Our 4-some played under 4 1/2 hours. Unfortunately this public owned course is close to downtown Portland and gets a lot of play and it shows.

There are no bare spots but tee boxes and fairways have lots of divots and greens have many unrepaired ball marks. The greens roll smoothly however and we sank several very long putts. The traps had good sand but were not raked and lies were uneven.

Overall, a very scenic track with an abundance of winged wildlife on display. Friendly staff, good sandwiches and full bar.

Played 18 in a 3-some using Golf Now walking rate of $32 in about 4 hours. The course is a par 71 with 4 par 5's and 4 par 3's. It winds through an attractive, up-scale single housing development with homes lining both sides of most holes but it doesn't feel too tight. In fact we didn't have even 1 shot OOB all day. Several dogleg holes requiring both draw and fade tee shots and lots of false fronts and undulating greens make for a challenging but fair layout. There is a fair amount of water to avoid and average number of bunkers that are very well placed. The course is in great condition and extremely lush. I really enjoyed this course and look forward to returning.

This is a full service resort about 1 hour east of Portland near Mt Hood. I played all 27 holes with GK'er NickEsquire1 on a $49 golf now special including cart and $10 food coupon. It was fairly busy and took about 2 hours per 9. The pro shop staff, cart girl and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient.

The setting is beautiful among the mountains and forests with Mt. Hood just minutes away. 2 of the nines are fitted nicely in the wide valley where many other holes are in view with a 3rd nine winding thru a forest with almost no other hole visible.

Other than the tees having been recently plugged and sanded, every other part of the course was groomed very well. Smooth medium fast greens that are not overly undulating, lush fairways and limited rough and good fluffy sand make most lies easy to hit. The course rewards accuracy as there are many red staked and OB areas on many holes.

I really enjoyed this all day "road trip" and will come back often.

I got to play in a scramble tourney on 8/12 and, as scramble tourneys tend to be, it was a slower round than normal (5 1/2 hours) but great fun. The course is in great condition, as always, and the staff is very friendly. The free beer cart didn't hurt the situation and our group went bogey free for the entire round.

Beautiful, challenging and pristine all describe this venue and I recommend it any time you have the opportunity to play here.

Walked 18 with GK'ers NickEsquire1 and Tocho621 mid afternoon for $20 Golfnow rate. I like the challenge of this layout and most areas are lush but I was disappointed with numerous dry/bare spots everywhere. They need to water more. But that is the only drawback at this time.

Overall this course has it all. Plenty of clothes and equipment at good prices, a first class fitting system, lessons for all ages including a comprehensive junior training program, large driving range, chipping and putting practice areas and many certified instructors.

Walked 18 with GK'er NickEsquire1 at a twilight rate of $16. My guess is that the reasons that the rate is so low are as follows:

It is a shorter course with very few doglegs, no fairway traps and little water. Trees line most holes but the landing areas are fairly generous so it is not terribly challenging.

Although most areas of this course would be rated lush, it appears to me that this course operates on a shoestring budget. There are bare/dry areas on the edges of many of the greens and fairways seemingly due to underwatering or poor sprinkler coverage.

In addition, the greens were not groomed as well as most other courses in the area and actually felt squishy underfoot.

So a low price is the biggest draw here.

Played an early morning round with NickEsquire1 who has already posted a very factual in depth review which is spot on in every detail. Challenging, difficult, tight and physically demanding to walk describe most of the holes here. Very few would I categorize as easy which is why I always ride here and play only from the white tees. To do otherwise at my skill level is inviting disaster. That said, I like this course for the challenge it presents, the beautiful setting, and the way they use technology. All the power carts are equipped with a large overhead GPS screens (with score keeping ability) and an automatic invitation to remotely order food from both the 8th and 17th holes.
