I have had this pair for almost 6 months and I have to say the fit and feel are second to none. They feel great for traction yet are lightweight and the thin sole allows me to literally feel the green's slope with my feet. I liked them so much I just bought a second pair to help prolong their life. I didn't spend the $139.00 listed instead purchased my second pair at www.carlsgolfland.com for a little north of $60 delivered on a close-out. Something to be said about a pair that fits you well and helps you play better and this is just the pair for me. » Close

First let me say, I love simple. So much so when something like this comes along I can only say, "It's about time." I am partial to my range finder but I have found shortcomings to my range finder as well. For starters further than 120 yards it's very difficult to find a target to detect the range. There are tricks to figuring out the yardage but what if those tricks are unavailable? This is where the Voice Caddy excels.
With the push of a single button you get distance to the center of the green. Folks say they need to know the front, middle, and back distances as well but for the majority I can honestly say that if you are 200+ or even 150+ out does it really matter to the bogey golfer? Most of the time they find themselves with a second shot the green because they missed their target only slightly. That is my skill level so knowing how far to go gives me confidence to choose the right stick for the job and worry about getting it close to the hole without being bothered by the minutia of where the pin is until my short game comes into play.
I have tried the Voice Caddy on several courses. Namely Alondra Park, Recreation Park and Monarch Dunes since getting this little gem. And the VC's overall performance was stellar. There were some shortcomings namely the par 3 at Rec Park - Hole 5 with the two greens in opposite directions. Still have to figure out how that option to alter the hole location works on the VC. Other than that the VC's performance was impeccable. Tried to trick it by playing 9 holes on the back 9 and it found out the hole location and distance once I approached the Tee box. Hit an errant shot and it keeps track of your hole location up to a degree so really errant shots may give you incorrect readings. You can adjust your hole location with a simple combination of button pushes. Distance reading is pretty accurate.
Compared to the Range Finder I would say they are about equal for a reasonably average golfer. Use the VC in conjunction with a range finder you would find a nice blend of distance and convenience that I think most golfers would find useful.
The real question is would I recommend the Voice Caddy. The short answer. "Yes." And at this price point and no registration fee? In a heartbeat. It's a deal. » Close

Received this in the mail last week, a gift for Father's Day. I cannot be more happier. Been reading reviews on other sites regarding this which were not so favorable and I had my misgivings (more buyer's remorse) but that all changed when I received it and read the instructions.
1. It's easy to use.
2. It gave some easy tips to get accurate consistent readings every time.
I can only guess why others think so poorly. For me it worked fabulously. The closer to the pin I got the better and quicker the reading as should be understood. If you do not have a steady hand then leverage it on top of your golf bag and get a reading that way. Or wait for the group ahead to show on the green and get a reading off one of the players. It's that simple. I can honestly say that this unit saved me at least 3-5 strokes easily. Knowing distance and then envisioning a shot makes using this little beauty a joy. You can approach each shot with new found confidence. It will by no means improve your golf swing but it will help you from making costly mistakes around the golf course. » Close

Some of you folks will laugh but I do like them. Was given these for Christmas by my middle son. I scoffed but when I had to use them because I ran out of my regular ball, (Titleist NXT Tour) I have to say they are not bad. They work exceedingly well on hard greens. I can put enough spin on the ball to stop it and the hard cover keeps them pretty even after hitting a few trees, pavement or what-have-you. Overall it's not a bad ball and made me realize it's partly the ball but always the golfer's fault for bad shots. For distance it helped me a number of times to at least keep pace with my longer buddies. On hard greens the ball was pretty good just had to throw it up high enough to stop and with the harder cover it was easy to do. Putting I had no problems. Actually putted better but that I can honestly say is because I focused more on my putting stroke rather than ball composition. I would recommend this to any golfer who is looking for an edge in distance. Great for a Med skilled golfer. » Close

Tried this piece of equipment at Rancho San Marcos. For those of you who have played this course. You know the greens roll VERY true, there are subtle breaks but speed, OMG... beware they are fast! I guess you best characterize RSM greens as very fair but very, very fast. So you can understand that I was a little (actually more than a little) concerned about using a putter that I was unfamiliar. Truth be told I couldn't be further from the truth. I putted amazingly well with the Sweet Spot Putter. I believe I was a little under 2 puts per green.
Allow me to explain. The putter has perimeter weighting (I believe 10-15 gram weights on either end that force a straight path with your basic pendulum putting swing. It helps you put true. The striping although visually stunning serves a dual purpose. As it was explained to me, by Chuck, Sweet Spot's National Sales Rep, the striping allows you to line up your putt easily. Throw in a Sweet Spot logo ball you can line up the diamond on the Sweet Spot ball to the diamond on the Sweet Spot Putter, aim both of those diamonds at your target, and viola! You can put with pretty good consistency. You have taken a good deal out of the stroke equation leaving just a nice even stroke to the hole.
It's a great teaching aid and does promote a consistent stroke. » Close

This is a special value. Good things do come in small packages. Tried out these little guys and have to say, short of having to fish these out of my pocket every time, this is a great tool. The plastic, and I know plastic is a good grade of either ABS or Polycarbonate. That mean's this product will last. It can take a pretty good amount of abuse and still retain it's shape quite well. The shape of the divot tool is actually pretty good. The video on the site shows the incorrect way of fixing a divot BTW. You're not supposed lift, breaking the roots, and push. You're supposed to push the divot closed. The tapered design once you push down on the divot automatically pushes the divot closed. So you just have to push straight down with the SmarTee and the divot will close. Keep doing that around the perimeter of the divot and it will close completely. Just need to tap the surface flat with your putter head and viola...done! I like the ability to add artwork. may have to think about supplying this to our golf sponsored outings. » Close

I have a bag similar to this one but I like the "X" format on this bag. You can organize your clubs better compared to the 2 sleeve version I have. Stand is strudy, handle is a bit cheesy but I know that the threaded pipe they used as the handle is quite sturdy. The ball marker template and towel holder is a nice touch. Great value. Bought mine for around $90 all in. For me and my use.. it's a good value. » Close
