VERY disappointing because it really is a nice course to play. We had a 12:43 tee time and were told that they were running late. at 12:45 we went back in to the pro shop because we never heard any groups being called; that's when we heard them say that the 12:08 group had left. They were running late because they ran out of carts. By the time we were sent off it was 1:20 and the pace of play was sloooooooooow. Sad.

FYI – Marshal Canyon GC was closed Sunday and Monday due to the firestorms but sustained NO damage and is now open.

And I wondered why I never play this course...I think the heat made it even more frustrating..It was wide open at 11:30 and it was fun just to get out there and use the driver. Greend sucked and had little sand traps on them. Tee boxes need to be cleaned up and sand traps were like moats..Let the $$$$$La Verne residents help out Jerry's kids along with this golf course..DO NOT PLAY HERE!!!

Some greens were in bad shape - bare spots all over. One sand trap was all muddy with standing water in it. The fairways were ok. Putting is tricky on this course though because of the mountain. It may look to break one way but because of mountain, it breaks the other way. Nice challenge though. If the greens/bunkers are improved, it would definitely be worth the green fee.

The course is in good condition, except a few greens have bare spots of no grass. It may effect 1 or 2 putts in your round. All in all, enjoyed my round and shot my lowest score.

NICE LAYOUT AND GOOD PRICE.GOOD STAFF,THE GREENS ARE VERY SLOPED EASY TO ROLL OFF GREENS,NOT FOR NEW GOLFERS.

Played there on Mar 2. They've done a decent job of cleaning up after the recent rains. Fairways have never been real lush, but were better than normal. Greens were a little slower than normal, but were in great shape. Backdrop of snow covered Mt Baldy was spectatular.
