Played super twilight 6-10-05. It's been a long time since I played this course. Walked on today, and props to the starter who didn't waste anytime moving people off the waiting list. I've always liked this layout; super wide fairways, some undulation, elevated greens, but once you're on, the greens are not severely contoured. The course is in B+ condition. The fairways and tee boxes are fine, a few soggy spots. The greens, however, had just been aerated, so the ball wasn't rolling at all. This is a very solid course, particularly for the price - just don't show up on a weekend...it'll be a 6hr+ round.

We play this course every week in a league, from April to October. We see the course over a long period of time, on a weekly basis. We wish our home course was as well maintained. Although this is a county course, with LOTS OF PLAY, it is always in great shape. The greenskeeper and staff consistantly do yoeman effort in keeping the course, not only playable, but a treat to play. For the money it is a great buy, and a jewel to play. I have heard on weekends that play is slow, but that would be, considering the price (cheap) and the numbers of public players. It is well worth playing, especially during the week.

Played here 4/25/05. Course was in pretty good shape excluding traps (no sand) and greens which are recovering from aeration. 4 hour round is nothing to complain about.

Course was in great condition. Greens are recovering nicely from aeration. The only bad part is the slow play, it took almost six hours to complete a round.

Played the course today and it was in good shape. You could tell that the greens had been recently aerated; they were bumpy at times and slow. The fairways were in good shape, and they were cut short so the ball would really run. It was a full 5 hour round, but not as bad as I expected it to be. I had never played this course before, and the undulating fairways proved challenging. It was well worth the money.

Played a practice round on Sat. for a tournament later today. I really enjoye Santa Anita, just a great public course. Greens are slow and bumpy but they are getting punched out this week. Tee boxes are okay with some unleveling and servere divots. Fairways were good, rough was decent. Sandtraps were thin. Playtime 5 hours. What do you expect for a public course.
