Gorgeous day but the greens were slow and bumpy. The fairway is in pretty good shape. There still are a few muddy areas but the greens are more of an issue. It appeared the greens hadn't been cut recently and there were pock marks on several of the greens that may be from fungus in addition to the numerous ball marks. Very hard putting.

Thoroughly impressed with the course condition after the continuous rain we've had here. This course is definitely in my top 5 for public courses in Ventura/LA/SG counties.

I played for the first time 11/15/04. I had a great time! The course was in great shape, everything was very green!!!! Just tough enough to make it fun, but not pro-style. There are a few tricky holes, especially 18. I'm used to playing Wilson/Harding, and this was 5x better. The staff was friendly, and the green fees are dirt cheap 21.50. Walked it in just under 5 hours, a relaxed pace, no rushing or waiting. I highly recomend it.

Santa Anita is a great course to play a round of golf. The green, fairways are always in good shape.
Only one problem. Now days most all golf cousres overbook, and asians learning to play take up the whole day while they learn on the golf course. The Marshalls don't help in speeding up play. The golf course are just happy to cram in as many players as they can. Regarless of time to enjoy a round of golf.

Course is in good shape. Greens are well kept and fairways were in decent shape for a public course. The course staff was very helpful. Kudos to Ruper!!
