Always known for it's wait for a tee time, I was called within 1/2 hour and played the course surprisingly fast(4 1/2 hours). The traps looked wet and compact but played with signifigant "fluff". 75% of the greens were affected by areation but played well and true despite.-Adam

Great golf course. Very busy though. Get out as early as possible because they get really busy. Tee boxes are kind of rough but this county course is one of the best around.

SAME OLD GOLF COURSE. NOBODY FIXES BALL MARKS ON GREENS. COULD BE A LOT BETTER IF GOLFERS WOULD TAKE CARE OF DIVOTS AND BALL MARKS.

needs to work on tee boxes. very uneven and lots of divots. rest of course in pretty good shape. golfers need to repair their ball marks on the greens, i fixed at least 3 to 4 extra ones

I played today in a 5some, teeing off at about 7:15 and finishing in 4:45. Very slow. The course is in good condition but a few of the greens are not so good, especially #1. It was enjoyable but play is way too slow. they should try allowing a group to tee off on #1 only after the group ahead has cleared the first green, which would alleviate the big backups at 2, 3, and 4.

Played today 6-12-03 and I have never seen Sanya Anita in such outstanding condition, the greens were running fast and the fairways are lush. It was perfect.

Started to play today. The first 2 greeens had been punched, the next 3 greens had been punched and had about 1/4 inch of sand and wood chips on them (with no temps or alternates). Walked back to the starter and got our money back. Avoid the course for a while.

Played today (5/26). Greens in excellent shape; fast and quite firm. Tee boxes and fairways are also in great shape for municipal course. Undulating fairways make for uneven lies. Fairly open; some long par 3's and long par 5's make this course interesting. Fantastic staff and clubhouse grub ! This is one of my favorite courses and I've played golf here since I was 13 years old.

For the money you just can't beat Santa Anita. The course has enough challenge to make it interesting but is not so hard that it slows down the pace of play. The course is generally well taken care ... Continue »

For the money you just can't beat Santa Anita. The course has enough challenge to make it interesting but is not so hard that it slows down the pace of play. The course is generally well taken care of, but the tee boxes could use some work as they often place the golfer on uneven ground.
